Banshee - Episode 2.07 - Ways to Bury a Man - Preview and Teasers

Forget Rabbit this week, yes he somehow screwed them over with a bag of worthless glass, but as they’re having trouble tracking him down there’s not much that can be done to satisfy the gang’s urge for revenge, yet. So when Lucas finds out that Jason is missing after leaving the bar with Rebecca, all his rage becomes firmly focused on bringing down the one psychopath he can lay his hands on. In an attempt to prove Sugar’s theory that there are other ways of burying a man than physically killing him, he and the deputies try some (debatable) legal routes at first, but when that fails to bring the desired results it’s down to Job to experiment with his explosive side.

As for the Hopewell's, their future is starting to look a little brighter. Admittedly they do have a crisis to overcome that rears its ugly head in this episode, but because of it they are drawn a little closer. What is strange is that it’s partly due to Gordon’s current Savoy addiction, and an angry faceoff with Hood, that the family are reunited in the first place. But after all the he and Carrie have been through it’s great to see them finally beginning to break down their barriers and starting communicating with each other.

I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to work out how Proctor will make Jason’s body disappear, there is a small hint in the promo that he does continue indoctrinating his niece by showing her his normal methods of disposal however. How Rebecca takes this first-hand experience is interesting, it’s a wakeup call to just how far down this path her uncle could take her; does she have the will to break herself free at all or is she doomed to be molded in his image now whether she wants to be or not?

Ways to Bury a Man airs Friday February 21st at 10pm on Cinemax, below are some teasers to see you through until then. Don’t forget to come back and vote in our poll after the episode and let us know what you thought.

“You have corrupted this council and shamed yourself, as well as your father”

“You think I'm gonna roll on someone like Proctor cos of someone like you? Go ahead, arrest me, at least in jail I got my health”

“You have no evidence, no body, there’s not even a name you say, it doesn't sound to me there’s a crime committed does there”

“You've reached Gordon Hopewell, please leave your name and number”

“Now we all agreed we were gonna do this together, moonlighting ain't my style”

“There’s nothing on god’s green earth that would get me to voluntarily walk into a police station, but I was getting my fix on in town and figured I’d see how you were pulling this off”

“I can only turn the other cheek so many times, it gave me a chance to be a good Christian and kick some butt”

“You know who owns this place? Then you know it’s off limits to the cops!”

“We don’t always know the people we fuck, do we?”

“They just came through the front door locked and loaded, what do you expect me to do?”
