Former Deception star Meagan Good is returning to NBC with a role in the network’s drama pilot Babylon Fields, from Michael Cuesta, Gerald Cuesta and Michael Atkinson. The 20th TV-produced project, originally developed and piloted at CBS seven years ago, is about a town’s residents coming back from the dead. Good, repped by Gersh, Untitled and Morris Yorn, will play Janine Beltran, a local doctor with an edge to her.

So Basically Another Version Of The Returned.
ReplyDeleteNope, this show was developed over seven years ago, at CBS, the pilot was leaked and can still be found. While similar they are quite different in tone assuming this try keeps the original tone. And as a huge huge fan of The Returned I'd pick a full version of Babylon Fields, assuming it hasn't changed too much. The original pilot is chilling, with excellent moments and parts are disturbing while at the same time very touching and poignant. So... I admit after saying that it sounds like The Returned, and the success of the undead currently including Returned, that NBC is obviously only bringing this back because of that but it could most definitely stand on its own.
