I like the idea of Felicity having a nemesis. They've been involving the character too heavily in personal matters lately. Let's see Felicity flex her vigilante muscles a little. If Tockman becomes a recurring character it will give Felicity something new and different to focus on. Oliver has his yearly big bad, Diggle had Deadshot, Sara has The League of Assassins, and now it's Felicity's turn.
I like the idea of a Felicity centric episode and Felicity getting her own nemesis but I'm not sure about the rest. Ah well, only a few more days. Hopefully we'll get some interviews from EBR that will sell me on the rest of the episode.
WOW! I LOVE LOVE LOVE his VOICE!! "touch you in the safety of your hidey hole" GAH!!! ::shivers!!:: And Feicity has a nemesis! EVEN BETTER! Please keep him around, as I would love to see them go head-to-head again and I haven't even SEEN the silly thing yet. I may have to delay watch by 10 min. so I can fast forward through the detour we're having to make into soap opera land though. Bleah! Felicity centric with her big bad I can do! The rest, not-so-much.
I LOVE Robert Knepper!!! SO excited to see him on the show!!! Huh... I wanna watch and see if this really is a Felicity centric episode - meaning she needs to have A LOT of screen time. They are selling it so they better deliver it!!! The idea to give her having a nemesis is truly interesting, again, let's see if that's really what will happen. Can not wait for wednesday!!!
I also think he will join suicide squad but I don't think he will be Felicity's father. I think Felicity's father will be someone they introduce in season 3 and will have some connection with Oliver.
Why it not she isnt constantly hogging the spotlight and media already. What possibly can EBR say that is more important than what an actual show writer/producer is saying
Lets face it Felicity is just a jealous bitch that some other woman is hanging and sleeping with Oliver not her. This has nothing to do with her losing her stupid job, the way the show is trying to hide it with this nonsense.
Felicity having a nemesis she can get into cyber-battles with is going to be really cool.
The rest.... well... I'll wait to see the episode because the tidbits from actors and producers are often misleading, but it seriously rubs me the wrong way. Stop defining women through romantic jealousy. It would make sense for Felicity to feel insecure and like she isn't needed in the Arrowcave anymore if Sara was another hacker, but she's not. They don't need Felicity any less now that Sara's around. There was the attempt to say that Felicity feels left out because Oliver, Diggle and Sara are "comparing battle scars", but since Guggenheim also mentions Felicity being worried about her place in Oliver's life, or whatever, that can't be all. So the only explanation for Felicity's sudden inferiority complex is seeing another woman get all hot and heavy with Oliver in sparring sessions, which: HATE.
According to Stephen Amell the episode description was wrong, Felicity doesn't get upset because of the battle scars but something Sara does with the computers or that Felicity feels infringes on her territory. So either Sara does something with the computers or tries to tell Felicity how to do her job and that makes Felicity question her role in the group.
Wow lots of Felicity and Emily hate suddenly in this forum and we haven't even seen the episode. Well to each their own I guess. For me Felicity is still my favorite character. Don't care one way or other about Olicity. If it happens I will enjoy it because both actors can sell it unlike some other couples in this show, if it doesn't fine by me.
I am super happy they are introducing Tockman as Felicity's nemesis. I like a good cyber war. It seems Tockman is directly challenging Felicity than the team. Maybe it is also a reason for her going after him. I will form my opinion after seeing the episode. Anything involving Knepper will be stellar.
And regarding Felicity getting more screen time I think they are a little too on the nose about this trust between Oliver and Felicity all through the season which makes me believe something is going to challenge this bond they are building by the end of this season.
The promo excited me more for this episode than this producer's preview. I kind of wish I had skipped this. But I like the idea of Felicity having a nemesis. Has the potential to be here own storyline outside of Team Arrow.
Well there goes her centric episode not thats its much different from any other Felicity show episode, now can Felicity fans stop whining that she is pushed out of the show blah blah.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteRobert Knepper in Arrow?? Cool :)
ReplyDeleteA nemesis for Felicity at last! It's about time (and hopefully will counteract the Lance family drama that's happening in the same episode.)

ReplyDeleteYes! Emily needs to do some press for this! Must!
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree! I hope he lives to make a return visit.
ReplyDeleteI think he will 1 because he will join the Suicide Squad and 2 because i think he is Felicitys father

ReplyDeleteApparently her father will be revealed this season
ReplyDeleteFelicity has been getting more screen time than anybody this year nearly as much as Oliver, if not it definitely feels that way
ReplyDeleteWhy it not she isnt constantly hogging the spotlight and media already.

I didn't hear that but something about payoff from her speech. Who knows. Maybe Ivo is her dad.
ReplyDeleteAgreed ,i mean i like Felicity but cmon this is NOT what the show is about

ReplyDeleteCorrect me if I'm wrong but since i don't love Felicity like other people does that make me a troll lol
ReplyDeleteI wasn't talking about you
ReplyDeleteSorry Andrea i apologise please don't hate me now {sad eyes}
ReplyDeleteI saw only one troll
ReplyDeleteWell there goes her centric episode not thats its much different from any other Felicity show episode, now can Felicity fans stop whining that she is pushed out of the show blah blah.
ReplyDeleteI hope he comes back. Knepper is too good an asset to kill him off in one episode. I am really excited to see him
