How I Met Your Mother‘s Cristin Milioti is set for a lead role in NBC comedy pilot A To Z. From Warner Bros Television, Rashida Jones and Will McCormack’s Le Train Train and writer Ben Queen, A To Z is a romantic comedy that follows the relationship between a young couple, Andrew and Zelda, from meeting to breakup. Milioti will play Zelda, “the realist,” a lawyer at a small, public-advocacy law firm. Alternately serious and hilarious, Zelda believes she controls her own destiny, loves being a grown-up and doesn’t understand why anyone over 20 would go see an animated movie or eat ice cream sundaes. Destiny and fate are not in her vocabulary.

I had my post scheduled, but yay! I'm so happy Cristin's getting work after HIMYM is over.
ReplyDeleteJust yesterday I was thinking that someone should cast her in a comedy pilot and they did.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I don't watch any NBC comedies, I'll definitely be watching this if it goes to series. Though this being on NBC, I really hope it's a success, and unlike all the new failed NBC comedies this season.
Sorry about that, I didn't see you had already scheduled, and I was about to schedule mine to, but I accidentally posted.

ReplyDeleteThat sounds so un-Motherish. Props to her if she has that wide a range of character acting.
the first HIMYM castmember not to join How I met your Dad (guys, don't tell me they won't cast an original castmember, because they certainly will to reel in the fanbase)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, there is no way they cast one of the other 5 as a main character in HIMYD. NPH is busy with Hedwig and is moving away. Cobie is also moving to NY, I think. Jason was reluctant to sign to a 9th season, so that rules him out. That leaves Alyson, and she is too old to play the other female character Juliet.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the get them to come for a guest star in the future.
This makes "A to Z" a must watch for me!
ReplyDeleteVery cool, I'm glad she's getting another role I'm looking forward to seeing this
ReplyDeleteThat's okay. It happens! (LOL, I've done it before too)
ReplyDeleteAnd LOL, excuse me, Zelda, but I'm 24 and I love those things.
ReplyDelete"How I Met Your Mother's" OR Wolf of Wall Street's :D She is most recognized as The Mother (of course) but I though she would do more movies after being in a Scorsese film !! either way I'm happy for her :)
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute and I wish the best for her.
ReplyDeleteBut this premise is utterly dull and this show sounds like another one and done, like 90% of the NBC comedies on this 4 year span.
Pretty sure her love interest will be that kind of person and she'll slowly change throughout the show.
ReplyDeleteYou're probably right.
