Agent Romanoff (Black Widow). I know that that she hasn't appeared in AOS yet, but she is still technically an 'Agent of Shield'. So she gets my vote.

ReplyDeleteLove Skye. It's wonderful to see her be a part of this team and to see how she progresses. I hope to see her as a qualified SHIELD Agent one day in the near future (we did see her growing in last week's episode and she was amazing). But the whole cast is amazing :)

ReplyDeleteI voted for Ward because he is underrated but big honorable mention to Skye and Coulson. And I've also grown to love Fitzz-Simmons. I really like the whole team and the show really has been growing on me!

ReplyDeleteI fell in love with her as soon as 1x02: first when she snapped her wrist back into place like it was nothing, then when the rest were arguing about the plan and she just drove up in an SUV and said, "You guys talk a lot." Ha. She's so no-nonsense and matter of fact about everything, it's awesome. She doesn't beat around the bush, just kicks ass and gets the job done. But she also has this serene, controlled quality, always keeping her cool. In addition, I enjoy how Coulson values her input as his right hand woman and even expresses vulnerability, regret and fear to her. There's a lot of trust there and it's nice to see. I can't wait to find out what her backstory is and why she stepped down from field work - I'm a few episodes behind so maybe the show has already explored that, dunno.
On a side note - I don't want this to sound ageist, because older women (and men) can absolutely be attractive while looking their age. But, I was stunned to learn that Ming-Na Wen is 50 years old! I would've pegged her as being 10 or even 15 years younger. She obviously takes great care of herself (and Asian actresses in general seem to age well).
Coulson is my #2. Clarke Gregg is such a natural leading man, his charisma is incredible and he's great with the quips and blasé attitude. Oh, and I knew Ward was unpopular but I didn't know how much until I saw the poll results... lol. (I like him well enough.)

Yeah, that was also the impression I had gotten. But then, I haven't been reading a lot of online discussions about AoS, so I guess the Skye backlash I've noticed wasn't representative of the fandom.
ReplyDeleteWhat I especially love is that she's so nonchalant about her badassery. She beats the crap out of people and then just goes back to doing whatever, like it was nothing. Her demeanor is really cool and refined and she doesn't feel the need to parade how awesome she is.

ReplyDeleteWow. I am shocked that Skye is winning this. She would be the first one I would vote off. I thought for sure it would be Coulson and then May. I voted for Simmons but only because Fitz/Simmons was not a choice.

ReplyDelete50? Really? I never would have suspected that either. Of course now that I think about it, it makes a lot of sense. She played on As the World Turns when I was in high school. Like her even better now.
