For me its season 1 thru 5.It was new, fresh, and the cast was insanely good! It was also a special time for me for my friends father was a camerman for the show so i was there quite often.
Showing my age I voted seasons 1 - 5, I watched them when they aired as original episodes while I was babysitting. I know I didn't understand most of the jokes but they were just so funny that you couldn't help but laughing. Belushi, Aykroyd, Murray, Radner, Morris, Curtain, Newman...they were all geniuses!!!
The earlier the better for me. I still remember Eddie Murphy's Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood. The cabbage head doll will forever be a part of my TV history.
I liked the first five seasons when it was a new concept, and you had Gilda Radner as Roseanne Roseannadanna. I also liked Molly Shannon as Mary Katherine Gallagher, with those armpit jokes. LOL! I liked so many other skits, but in the later years, I really liked everything Amy Poehler did, and Seth Meyers.
I was! But you know they had 3 stages with so much activity going on with the sets going up,people all over, who was getting dressed, undressed, props going up or down.At times it was so chaotic that it wasn't as funny as when you watch it on your good old television.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteThat's tough. Seasons 11-15 and 21-25 are both amazing. I'm also a big fan of 1-10 as well.
ReplyDeleteGumby, Buh-Weet sings, and James Brown's Celebrity Hot Tub Party still crack me up.
ReplyDeleteEddie Murphy at his best for me. Well that and Mulan.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved being in the audience. Lucky you.
