  1. I tried to like this show, but none of the characters hooked me. I just did not care what happened to any of them. So NO do not miss it.

  2. Yes. It had a lot of potential to improve in its second season and they dropped it. Such a wasted opportunity. However, if I remember correctly, it was either going to be TSC, Hard of Dixie, or Nikita. I liked HoD and Nikita better than this.

  3. No. I thought this show had potential and I liked its cast, but instead of developing the characters and make them more interesting, they kept killing characters for shock factor. I stopped watching after episode 16 and never returned to finish the rest (especially after hearing it ended on a cliffhanger) and so I personally don't miss it.
I do hope the rest of the cast that haven't found regular roles yet on other shows would find such soon.

  4. I just started rewatching the show a few days ago actually, so yes, I really do miss it :) I think what I miss the most about it is what it could have been. I really feel like it would have been much better if it had been allowed another chance.. But the cast is pretty busy starring in some of my favorite shows, so that's pretty great :)

  5. Kind of, yes. But I think it was more the potential that the show had, more so than the show itself. I thought the first 15 episodes were goodish/ok, but the the last run of episodes was amazing and it was what really brought me in. Too bad that by then the viewers had already left. I think the show suffered from some character problems early on. They didn't have a proper male lead. The Adam character was very meh (I also disliked the actor in that part) and at some point the circle was just Adam and a bunch of girls. I think that hurt their dynamics. They needed their Ian Somerhalder or Paul Wesley there to hook the CW viewers right away. I miss what could have been. And by the way, I think The Tomorrow People will be this year's The Secret Circle for me :S

  6. I agree 100%, it's more what could have been! I jut wrote that up in my comment as well!

  7. I thought the first 15 eps or so were ok/mediocre but when it really hooked me was after that. I almost didn't come back at some point but when I did it was when I enjoyed the show the most, it was amazing and I remember that during that final run I was even digging the show more than The Vampire Diaries. It was unfortunate that you stopped watching just when the show got much much better but in a way it's better for you because you avoided the disappointment that I then felt with the cancellation.

  8. Yes!!!!

The worst thing was that the cliffhanger at the end (with the other children coming to time) left the show open to get even better (and it was awesome) than it was when it ended.

  9. But 'no' to question 'do you still...' means that you missed it before and now you don't. People who didn't watch it have no choice but to pick 'not sure' ;p

  12. I completely agree with everything you've said too! I've lost count on how many things we agree on. The Tomorrow People, Revolution, Lost, THE WALKING DEAD, The Secret Circle etc.
Under The Dome? The Following? You gotta love those too, right? :D

  13. I remember the pilot had a very "The Craft" type vibe which I found interesting. But that sort of vanished after that and I wasn't interested in lovey dovey stuff so I quit after about episode 5 I think. Did the craft vibe come back at all?

  14. No, I don´t miss it. It was an ok show, but just one that I watched whenever I was bored. I liked Britt Robertson in Life Unexpected, I would love to see that back.

  15. I only miss seeing Gale Harold on TV ! :DD

  18. So... no one's gonna point out the mistake in the title?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Ugh yes, there's so much more that could have been done.

  20. Yes it was a good show, not the best but it wasnt bad! i`ll start reading the books to see what happens!

  21. omg yes...i'll admit i wasn't really a fan until about halfway through, but then it just got so good...and holy cow that SEASON FINALE!! i still think about what could have been for the second season...good coven vs. bad coven...oh the possibilities!! *sniffle* thx for opening an old wound:(

  22. Yes! I still miss it and I'm still bitter because the CW cancelled it. The show took a while to find its feet, but by the second half of the season it was amazing and the season finale was outstanding, setting up what would have been a great season 2, full of potential. Your loss, CW.

  23. Not in the least. I love fantasy/magic themes, so naturally I tried this show but nobody from the cast or the plot of the show really hooked me. It felt like I had seen it all before, so nothing felt very original.

Interesting to read some of the comments about the show not finding its stride until half-way through the season; I stopped after episode 4, so perhaps I'll watch the latter half of the series sometime.

  24. It got even creepier than the Craft after the witch hunter leader Eben, Blackwell (Cassie's father) and the demons were fully introduced. That was like in the 15th or 16th episode. The season final was the best. It's unfortunate that they canned the show right after The other Balcoin (Black Magic) siblings were called in to unite with there sister.

  25. Hell yeah I miss TSC!!!! I've been a fan since the first day I saw the promo on CW which was in the summer of 2011 and I must admit that at times the show really dragged on and fell especially after rewatching the series and pin pointed scenes that could have offered more but that doesn't mean it wasn't good. I REALLY LOVE this show and I still pray that one day another network would revive it. It really picked up when Blackwell and Eben were introduced and the whole dark magic/demon storylines came into play. I loved that!! Although I still believed that Black John (Blackwell) was introduced to early but overall I really loved the cast and characters although they forgot to develop most of them...Melissa..poor Melissa. But Adam and Cassie turning evil, Faye turning to finding more power by using the Balcoin kids and THE BALCOIN SIBLINGS!!! Season two would have been really great. But I still have hope that it would come back one day. BTW read the books, they're so much better and it really hooks you.

  26. I'd have to say no, as I watched the first half of S1, and saw the potential there but it never really got there and my patience ran out so I gave it up

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hm. I'm not really sure.

  28. I do kinda. What I miss about the show was the imagery it had. I thought it had a lot of potential, but I couldn't attach myself to any character except Diana, and thats because she was the only character that actually thought things through…and I also have a soft spot for Shelley Hennig:) At first, I thought the parent were very annoying, but they eventually became realistic at the end of the season. So yes, I do miss it…however it didn't get good until the end.

  29. Jessica will also be on the new series Black Sails. I'm excited to see her in it cause she has more to work with. The character looks so much more different than it was on The Secret Circle.

  30. I didn't miss this show when it was airing. LOL

  31. I hated it. Sat through one half of an episode and just said give me a break. Charmed, it wasn't. It wasn't really worth my time.

    ReplyDelete
  32. No, I don't miss being bored to death. Besides, it freed up the rather talented cast to move on to better things.

    ReplyDelete
  33. It had its flaws and I think a second season could've have turned out pretty great but oh well. I've gotten my fair share of witches this season, so I don't really miss it anymore.

  34. X - I never did, because I don't watch girly shows.

  35. I loved the first couple of eps, til midseason. Then it got pretty slow and messy till Cassies Father came along. Joe Lando nailed it, just nailed it. And the final was just perfect I was shocked they canceled it. I was really hoping MTv or ABC family would take it under their wings. I'm so obssesed I started writing a fanfic based on the SC mythology: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9559488/1/3rd-Circle

  36. Yeaa. I love seeing them in diff shows but them together is the best.

  37. I recently saw this show on Netflix for the first time. I liked it. I thought the girls were alright, but the one boy (Adam) wasn't all that great. The show seemed to be figuring out what to do with their characters in the later episodes. There was a lot of potential there. I didn't appreciate that it ended on a cliffhanger though. I wish all shows and networks made a point of wrapping things up for fans, even if it's a final 2-hour series finale. (Although, I prefer at least a 13 episode final season, to wrap up a show).

  38. Yeah! It had moments where it dragged and had too many non-supernatural soapy subplots that were boring, but I really miss it still. I wish they had follows the original LJ Smith novels more closely.

  39. Yes! Phoebe made the show for me as Faye. I hate her as Hayley -.-

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yes, I still can not believe that this series lost to Hart of Dixie.

    ReplyDelete
  41. yes, that last cliffhanger is killing me!! lol

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yes, i was not a big fan but the last episode was so awesome, and silversun pickups at the end <3 yes i miss TSC

    ReplyDelete
  43. I think I got you. The storyline was all over the place, and at times disappointing.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yes. I loved the cast and missed them very much, especially Shelley Hennig. But since she is rumoured to be in my favorite Teen Wolf, Phoebe is in The Originals, Britt is in Under the Dome and Chris is on Twisted, I am still missing the show because they wasted such a big potential but I am not that sad anymore.
