Examiner: HBO announced that the next season is going to be the last season of "True Blood". So what are fans supposed to do in the summer of 2015?
Stephen Moyer: What are you going to do in the summer of 2015? I'm not sure about the summer of 2015, but if things go the way I'm hoping there will be something to watch in the summer of 2016. We'll have an announcement about that... soonish.
There you have it! If luck holds out then "True Blood" may follow in the footsteps of "Sex and the City" and "Entourage" and have its own movie released in the summer of 2016. In the meantime, the final season of "True Blood" has begun filming and will premiere this summer. Don't forget, you can catch "Free Ride" beginning this weekend On Demand or maybe in your local movie theater. Check your local listings.

Depends on how they end the series if I would like a movie.
ReplyDeleteAnd a spin-off depends on which character they do the spin-off with.
Example: PAM? Yes! BILL? Nah...
I'd take ever spin-off I could get...except a Hoyt or Tara one
ReplyDeletePleaseeee don't do it!!. I think both choices would be a terrible idea.
ReplyDeleteNo, just no.
ReplyDeleteHmmm a spin off, movie, or mini series could work. I'd probably give it a shot depending who's all involved.
ReplyDeletea spinoff in True Blood universe with none of the original characters would be great
ReplyDeleteI've never read the book series, so i can't agree nor disagree with any of that. lol But i am thinking from the TV series POV, and i just don't see it. As much as i love TB. Even though the last couple of seasons have been rocky, (and i felt that time jump in the s6 finale was dreadful) I really think it has run its course. Idt they should "make a baby". They should just end it. I think it would be perfect just having a real good send off.
ReplyDeleteYeah! LOL! I think it just depends how they end it and who/what they would want the spin off to focus on!
ReplyDeleteSpin-off or movie, as long as it's well done, I'll take it!
ReplyDeletespin off ending this show at season 7 sucks they new to have a spin off
ReplyDeletei dont understand why HBO decideds to cancel it, alst season was doing great in ratings...
ReplyDeleteIf they do an Spin off im pretty sure it would be about Jessica dont know but i have a feeling would be about her
A Fangtasia Spin-Off THANK YOU
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same, but maybe contracts end and the show would get too expensive...? The only thing I could imagine.
ReplyDeletewhat is more weird is that they had the new showrunner i was expecting at least 2 more seasons.. i know they are not following the books now so maybe that can be a why¿?
ReplyDeleteBut it kind of sounds like Bill will be involved, doesn't it?
ReplyDeletehe could be directing. besides the same actors can't play ageless vampires forever 8 years is kind of stretching it
ReplyDeleteContracts... the cast (Anna, Alex, Stephen) have all said they had 7 season contracts... due to the show some of their careers are on the rise (Alex) so it is likely that contract negotiations didn't work out or got to expensive.
ReplyDeleteWe shall see. I mean as a long time fan, IF it does happen, I'll check it out. But if it doesn't pull me in with the pilot, i'll only give it my "3 trial run".
ReplyDeleteI am up for the movie and almost for sure up for the spin-off depending on who it is centered around. I wouldn't watch a Lafayette spin-off for instance. I thought last season made a HUGE progress in terms of quality, it was like the first seasons again.
ReplyDeletetbh Stephen looked the same since season 1, he showed his age ever since the show started and hasn't really 'aged' too badly. Neither did Skarsgaard
ReplyDeleteBlew my mind too. I thought FOR SURE it had another season and likely 2 more.
ReplyDeletebillith is great love those powers bring it
ReplyDeleteEric and Pam Is the way to Go, In Eric's 1000 plus years there's def a good story to tell what he did before Pam stuff wit Nora and Godrick. I dont even know if i should mention Russell's name. We all ready got alot of bills back story and he hadnt been around as some of the other people where they could take place in a different time/location.
