Things got pretty messy since the last run Rick ever did with Carol: we don't know where is Maggie, what happened to the other people in the bus with Glenn or where on earth is Carol.
Since they didn't see Little Ass kicker's car seat, I'm assuming Beth and Daryl are just trying to find her (or the person that held the baby).
They had clips like these before Season 4 returned like one of them was of a horse and you could see a walker heading towards it in the reflection of it's eye and none of it was even in the episodes so these are basically to like feed your thirst for more walking dead even though its gonna be irrelevant. But about the Rick and Carl thing: *SPOILER* Okay so this scene is just like how it is in the comics where Rick is passed out so Carl is forced to keep walkers away from the apartment they are staying in to protect his dad.
These promo's look great. As for Glen: I'm going on the assumption that he's still with the bus group and probably the only real fighter, because wasn't the bus made up of women/older people/sick people and children? So that could be why he looked alone. As for Maggie, isn't she with Sasha and Bob? I think the last time we saw her she was helping Sasha get Bob somewhere that they could take care of his wound. I want to know where they all think they are going? Did they have some rendezvous point that we're going to spend the rest of the season watching them get to?
I don't see why Daryl needs to be paired with anyone. However, I never really liked Carol so as long as Daryl's not with her I don't really care who he gets with.
I agree Daryl's like Michonne he's one of the few who can make it on his own but Beth does need someone. Beth just witnessed her father getting decapitated and she's lost two boyfriends. We've seen in the past that Daryl can be a person whom the group can lean on when needed.
Is Glenn on the roof of the bus? How did he get injured? Did the bus crash? If so, where are Lizzie, Mika, and (I'm assuming she's with them) Judith? Are Beth and Daryl asleep or passed out? Carl, I know. I did read that much of the comic. But what is he holding? It looks like a grenade.
I like the combinations so far: Maggie and Sasha (two sisters), Glenn and the bus (no Maggie), Bob as the injured for a change (remember: he was the medic), Carl and Rick (no Michonne), Carol's girls and Tyreese, hopefully Michonne and Little Ass kicker.
I never said Daryl would be the one to lean on another group or person. Daryl is someone people can lean on for comfort or advice. His words in season 2 changed Andrea's POV on suicide. He was there for Beth when Zach died. He's always been Carol's rock. Bob confided in him the real reason he wanted to go to The Big Spot and Daryl shot that reason down. Michonne stopped searching for The Governor because of Daryl. The group looks at Daryl as a leader and a leader is someone people can count on emotionally. Daryl can make it on his own true but he's not a loner otherwise he would've never returned to the prison after saving Merle from Woodbury. As far as you saying he's incapable of emotional contact I must point out the fact that he stared at the ground searching for a stone to mark a stranger's grave with just to please the dead man's wife.
I miss Carol. I know it's meant to be a surprise when she shows up again but I wish they could have done a promo for her. I want to know where she's been already! It's been too long. :(
That's the thing: the group has never looked up to Daryl as a leader, not on the farm, not in the prison or even on the road when he couldn't keep Bob away from alcohol.
Some non-Woodburites were grateful Daryk brought them to the prison but, when the gunshot started, they were all looking up to Rick and not Daryl.
Tyreese still doesn't know it was her that killed Karen though. In the comics Tyreese and Carol were a couple for short time. It'd be something if they became a couple on the show only for Tyreese to find out later she was Karen's killer.
So you're staying Daryl can't be a leader. I disagree. Daryl led the group in getting meds for the sick he led the group in preparing to fight The Governor as Rick negotiated. If Rick died Daryl would be in charge. That's just my opinion.
Gun beats Hammer like rock beats scissors IMO, but I do agree Tyreese is bound to forgive Carol after the children saved his life.
Sasha barely got out of it alive and Tyreese knows what she and Heshel were doing to the bodies: there's really nothing else Carol could've done. And he saw real cruelty with the Governor , he knows the difference by now.
I'm saying Daryl is neither a comforter nor a natural advisor, he's just not a gregarious man. We have seen this much for the last 4 seasons, tere's really no use to proyect these qualities on him.
I'm started to be afraid for her, Rick barely get out of there alive with one of his children and he had a whole prison to back him out.
Carol is on her own, without her children, and the only thing she has to rely on is the thought she taght them how to survive before she left.
I can wait to see these two characters reunite after what the Governor did to Rick, I can't wait to see what would they do if Tyreese is in the mix, I can't wait to see Daryl's reaction if he sees her again, or her reaction to Lizzie, Carl, Judith or Mica once Carol sees the children again.
I think she'll be back. And I think she's gonna be okay. But I just really hate the way she's been gone for so long. I miss her presence on the show! Melissa McBride is such a wonderful actress, I just miss her being there. And I agree, her character is so awesome and complex. All her relationships with these characters are going to be so interesting to see!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Awesome clips! The wait until February is going to suck.
ReplyDeleteWhy's Glenn on his own?
ReplyDeleteWhy's Rick not with Carl?
Why's Michonne still at the prison?
Ugh, I can't wait for this show to return!
I knew I has missed one spot. Great to see them all!
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that doesn't want Daryl to be with Beth? I really hope he gets together with Carol :s
ReplyDeleteThings got pretty messy since the last run Rick ever did with Carol: we don't know where is Maggie, what happened to the other people in the bus with Glenn or where on earth is Carol.

I wonder if Glenn got out of the bus. Maybe he went back into the prison.
ReplyDeleteThe second half of the season should be pretty great. I think splitting up the group for a little while is exactly what this show needs
ReplyDeleteThey had clips like these before Season 4 returned like one of them was of a horse and you could see a walker heading towards it in the reflection of it's eye and none of it was even in the episodes so these are basically to like feed your thirst for more walking dead even though its gonna be irrelevant.
ReplyDeleteBut about the Rick and Carl thing:
*SPOILER*

ReplyDeleteRick's on the phone! lmao...

ReplyDeleteIt looked like the bus, but it could be anything from the sick people on it getting turned to the bus crashing and the people on it getting turned.
ReplyDeleteThe children weren't even in that bus with Glenn, Lizzie took them all to shot the people about to kill Tyreese.
Daryl has always been a loner incapabe of emotional contact, the only person he allowed himself to be with has been Carol and even that took its time.
ReplyDeleteI just can't picture Daryl as "the person" to lean on or a person that would automatically lean on another group and/or person.

ReplyDeleteIsn't Bob with Maggie and Sasha?
ReplyDeleteThe combinations should be pretty interesting especially with the confirmation that tyreese and carol are going to meet up
ReplyDeleteI miss Carol. I know it's meant to be a surprise when she shows up again but I wish they could have done a promo for her. I want to know where she's been already! It's been too long. :(

None of them were injured, that blood was Bob's and Bob's alone.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what would happen then.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the show will prove her right: She could've handle Tyreese.
Tyreese still doesn't know it was her that killed Karen though. In the comics Tyreese and Carol were a couple for short time. It'd be something if they became a couple on the show only for Tyreese to find out later she was Karen's killer.

ReplyDeleteShe definitely cant handle tyreese IMO but i think he is going to forgive her
