Interesting role reversal between John and Cara. When he was the leader, he wanted to play things carefully to protect the group as much as possible and she was the one who was impulsive and likely to take unnecessary risks. Now in the promo, John wants to run off to save Stephen and she's stopping him until they know the situation better. Perhaps now that she has been the leader for a while she is beginning to think more like John did as the leader or maybe, after nearly losing John in the last episode, she is just being extra protective of him. Glad that we will be learning more about the founder in this episode. Looking forward to it.
So intense. This looks really good. If the Founder can clear Astrid's name, (which i know he can) that would be great. And John and Cara are arguing, i don't like that. But i do like the new found respect John has coughed up for Stephen. instead of them going at each other's throat. It's a cool change of pace.
"She's my daughter..." Wait, Astrid's his daughter or am I totally misinterpreting that scene between The Founder and Stephen? I'd reckon Astrid has had Stephen over at her house some times in the past so he would have met her father, right?
Yeah the creators daughter is the breakout that Stephen is gonna try to clear Astrid name like if he brings her in they wont kill Astrid. I think it's Serinda Swan she was on Smallville as Zatanna who is playing the founders daughter.
Yeah, with the stupid love triangle it's kind of to be expected that Stephen and John would be at odds with each other, so it's nice (and refreshing) that John actually takes Stephen's side more often than Cara does. That moment where he showed Stephen that flashback of Roger telling him (John) that Stephen might need him one day was sweet.
Yeah it was a sweet moment. Ever since Cara became leader, John has supported her every step of the way (which i love), and he's been nicer to Stephen as well. Wonder how long that'll last. lol
Yeah, LOL. I just hope that whichever one of them Cara ends up with (fingers seriously crossed for it to be John, as you know heh), the other one is gonna accept that and there won't be childish fighting over her. Since the episode where John found out that Cara and Stephen slept together, there hasn't been any of that, thank the Lord, and I hope it stays that way.
P.S. Speaking of John having supported Cara thoroughly since she became leader - something weird: the promo for 1x10 (the episode where TTP voted for her as the new leader) showed John telling her, "You have a fire that inspires everyone", and also a scene where Cara rallies everyone by saying they'll go on the offensive, "Who wants to fight for our kind?", etc and everyone cheering. Unless the copies of the episode I've watched online were cut before those scenes or something, they were never in the episode (or subsequent ones). I don't get it.
I ship John and Cara, but right now their relationship is on thin ice. I'll be able to accept if they need a breather. But that doesn't mean i want her hooking up with Stephen right after that or Stephen being relieved that they broke up drooling all over her. And yessss! I feel like they put that aside and got back to the matter at hand.
Yeah, you're right about taking a breather. John has to realize a relationship is based on trust and he can't be with Cara unless he's honest with her, even when the truth is ugly. And Cara has to realize she shouldn't judge him for needing some space (not letting her into his mind or whatever that was), and certainly not use it retroactively as an excuse for sleeping with Stephen. God, I hated when she did that - what a step backwards from initially telling John the truth, taking responsibility and apologizing.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
it looks like Stephen might let his mother in on what's going on perhaps?

ReplyDeleteI believe that is Hilary he is referring to.
ReplyDeleteAh, okay. Thanks for clearing that up!
ReplyDeleteI actually believe he is referring to the new, powerful breakout that is his daughter.
ReplyDeleteAh. Good point. I had originally thought they could be one and the same but that would make no sense.

ReplyDeleteHoly crap... looks like shit is seriously getting real.

This looks amazing! The show is on fire!

ReplyDeleteAgreed!!!
ReplyDeleteSee, I could probably be a relationship counselor for TV couples ;) haha.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that would be fun! And when a couple on some show is annoying we'll just tell them they need to break up. ;)
ReplyDeletehahaha genius!
