I can't tell you how much I love these two, they act like real siblings. While Klaus deals punches and hurts them when they disagree with him, if these two disagree they act like siblings: they bicker but still love each other.
Just to be fair, it's easier for Elijah to be so forgiving because he only got daggered by Klaus twice and both times didn't last long. Until we get prove that there were other times i am going with the version that elijah is the only sibling who didn't get daggered throughout 1000 years, not even once. Rebekah got robed of many years by Klaus who doesn't even have the decency to apologise to her. So I find Elijah's always taking Klaus side a bit unfair.
I don't think it's about sex. They're talking about inner peace. Something else that happened on The Vampire Diaries could have caused it, but I'm pretty sure that Klaus just had sex with Caroline because she was part of what Tyler did and he knew what would happen when people found out that she slept with him. He just kept pushing until she gave in, and that was unusual considering that he used to care about her. Caroline herself will undoubtedly feel shame. Klaus got closure, but I don't think what he did would have given him inner peace.
I think people are over thinking Rebekah's line from this sneak peak. She meant that klaus is not being a tyrant right now. But why would he? Davina is out of the pictures, the 4 witches haven't attacked yet, Haylijah agreed not to rock the boat for now, and he thinks the witches losing their powers due to failed harvest. Of course he is not lashing out at anyone right now. But it can change any second as soon as a new threat arises. That's what Rebekah is trying to communicate.
Because she is the main character ;)) I think she will try to rally against him but her plans will be derailed by Celeste and then her life is in danger and Klaus along with others will save her, and she will warm up to him again. I don't think Julie will really give Rebekah a powerful long storyline about fighting for power against Klaus. Even Elijah is against her. And she can only stop Klaus by killing him, so what's the point? All this waste of screen time is upsetting.
It looked more like she was trying to get Elijah suspicious and worked up over a change in Klaus' behavior. I'm guessing Rebekah wants Elijah to turn on Klaus to make it easier for her to overthrow him without hurting Elijah. Oh, well. Sneak peeks can be misleading anyway. An important part of the shot is usually left out.
What Klaus did to Cami, and whatever he's doing with Hayley, is nothing compared to things he's done in the past, and those two women have done plenty to him. If he apologizes to anyone, it'll probably be one of his siblings.
I do think Elijah is right. Rebekah could just leave and live her life she doesn't have to stay there. Provoking him is just going to set Klaus off. She's choosing to live with Klaus - nobody is forcing her to be there.
For me it seemed like he sort of mellowed out in TVD Season 3 once the curse was broken and he was making hybrids. The only substantial slaughter in Season 4 was when he killed the hybrids (but they were trying to have him buried in concrete so he probably saw it as self-preservation).
I don't think Rebekah will warm up to Klaus anytime soon. They stopped acting like family when she destroyed the last of Elena's blood in a temper tantrum because Klaus didn't save her from vampire hunters, because of what she did to Elena. True, it was cold of Klaus to leave her to rot, but Rebekah is cold. Neither of them is perfect and it looks like they might never really be family again. Rebekah refuses to allow Klaus any kind of happiness because of his past behavior, and he barely tolerates her behavior toward him, even though he's not really as nasty as in flashbacks. Elijah said that Klaus shouldn't be provoked, but I think he's lucky that Klaus doesn't care anymore about what he's doing with Hayley. I'm trying to figure out exactly what caused the sudden turn-around. It seemed to start somewhere between Casket Girls and the last episode. Klaus' werewolf family's presence might have a lot to do with it. Father Kieran looked like he was about to go into shock when he saw Hayley in the church. Even though Elijah's apology to Klaus in the end of Episode 9 was a little too dramatic to be genuine, that could have made Klaus rethink his position on the Haylijah situation too.
Klaus didn't not save Rebekah because of what Rebekah did to Elena, he only had time to save Rebekah or Caroline and chose Caroline because Rebekah is an original and can't be killed. It's the reason he was there in first place, Carol called "Tyler" and told him what was happening to Caroline and he went straight out to rescue her. Instead of being happy her brother was alive, she chose to focus on the fact that he saved Caroline over her.
I think I remember Rebekah seeing Klaus rip open the back of the van and knowing immediately that he was her brother in a different body. She wanted him to save her too, and he refused. He would have had the time and the strength.
I think it was wrong of him to not save Rebekah but then again i don't like caroline so my opinion is biased. The only thing that excuses him for not saving both is that he was in tyler's body. He couldn't risk getting killed off. If he died that would be the end for him.
Things are temporarily looking up for Klaus so i really don't find his sudden not killing anyone behavious as out of blue. Klaus only kills innocent people when he feels threatened and is unhappy. Next episode witches come after him and it will be a test for him, will he still be able to treat his family and friends decently even with the death threat hanging over his head or will he revert back to working alone and using people as pawns?
well what happened in MF was obviously more than sex :). For Klaus it was finally hearing that someone could care for him, love him despite everything he's done. Really, that's more than sex. He slept with her because he loves her, as of now he could care less about Tyler.
If both Rebekah and Marcel have secrets that they don't want Klaus to know about, then there's a possibility that Rebekah's rivalry with Klaus goes back a long time. It could be a pattern with them. They get along just fine, they hurt each other, they get along again...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
They are both right))

ReplyDeleteThis talk of apologizing and forgiveness gives me an idea of what might have Klaus in his suspiciously good mood. I could be wrong, you'll never know.
ReplyDeleteWho... Cami?
ReplyDeleteMaybe and then he kisses her)) Or he can apologise to Hayley and then kiss her. What the heck i am open to possibilities.
KlaroSex in the woods! :p

ReplyDeleteWhy doesn't she just leave like she planned to then? Her insistence to take the quarter just to keep Klaus or Marcel from having it just seems petty.
ReplyDeleteBecause she is the main character ;))

ReplyDeleteI love them.
ReplyDeleteKilling Tyler's Mom was pretty cold.
ReplyDeleteBut since then, yeah, he's slowly "mellowed out" in less defending himself. Mostly.

ReplyDeleteThat's right, now I remember. I don't know why I thought he was angry about what Rebekah did. I must have been thinking of something else.

ReplyDeleteWell he was pretty livid with her after she destroyed the blood, they really haven't "made up" since.
