Thanks to Tom for the heads up.

MUSIC FROM BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN’S NEW ALBUM TO BE HEARD FIRST IN UPCOMING BROADCASTS OF “THE GOOD WIFE” AND ON CBS.COM

The Album “High Hopes” Will Be Available Exclusively on CBS.com Prior to Its Release

Songs From the Album Will Be Featured During the Jan. 12 Episode of “The Good Wife,” Preceded by a Special Sneak Preview After the Series’ Jan. 5 Episode

NEW YORK, Jan. 2, 2014 – Bruce Springsteen’s latest full-length album, High Hopes, will be available exclusively on CBS.com for streaming prior to its release date, marking the first time that the Network website has been the host for an album debut. Following the Sunday, Jan. 5 broadcast of THE GOOD WIFE (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), a special preview for the following week’s episode will feature music from the forthcoming album and will prompt viewers to visit CBS.com/Springsteen to listen to the new album in its entirety on the site. The album will be available on CBS.com/Springsteen after the broadcast on Sunday, Jan. 5 through Monday, Jan. 13 at 7:00 PM, ET.

In addition, three songs from the album, the title track “High Hopes,” “Hunter of Invisible Game” and “The Ghost of Tom Joad,” will be featured in THE GOOD WIFE on Sunday, Jan. 12 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT). In the episode, “We, the Juries,” Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Will (Josh Charles) each represent one-half of a couple accused of smuggling drugs, but the courtroom becomes mired in confusion and legal technicalities when they insist on separate juries for each client.

“We love using music in THE GOOD WIFE, and we always have the music inform the action and the cutting,” said Robert King and Michelle King, executive producers and creators of THE GOOD WIFE. “So when the Bruce Springsteen songs became available, we couldn’t believe our luck. We wished we could use the whole album.”

High Hopes, Bruce Springsteen’s 18th studio album, is set for a Jan. 14, 2014 release on Columbia Records. The album, which was recorded in multiple settings in New Jersey, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Australia and New York City, features Springsteen with members of the E Street Band and guitarist Tom Morello, among others. “This is music I always felt needed to be released,” writes Springsteen about High Hopes. “From the gangsters of ‘Harry's Place,’ the ill-prepared roomies on ‘Frankie Fell In Love’ (shades of Steve and I bumming together in our Asbury Park apartment), the travelers in the wasteland of ‘Hunter Of Invisible Game,’ to the soldier and his visiting friend in ‘The Wall,’ I felt they all deserved a home and a hearing.”

Bruce Springsteen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999. He has sold more than 65 million albums in the U.S. and 120 million worldwide. Springsteen has won 20 Grammys, an Academy Award, was a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors in 2009 and performed during halftime at the Super Bowl the same year.

THE GOOD WIFE stars Julianna Margulies, Christine Baranski, Josh Charles, Archie Panjabi, Matt Czuchry, Graham Phillips, Makenzie Vega, Alan Cumming and Zach Grenier. It is produced by Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions in association with CBS Television Studios. Ridley Scott, Robert King, Michelle King, David Zucker, Brooke Kennedy, Ted Humphrey, Keith Eisner and Leonard Dick are Executive Producers.
