I'm not sure if it's a product of some creative promo editing but Lizzie joking around with Red ("Did you bring me anything?") would certainly be an interesting milestone in the Red/Lizzie relationship.
it may be creative editing like laura3341 said but i'm hoping not. I actually thought their relationship had hit a milestone in the mid-season finale when at the end they were on the phone and Lizzie said "The FBI are after you. What should i tell them?"
that single line showed that while she'll never join his 'company' she is somewhat loyal to him, being willing to tell them whatever he needed her to. At that moment, i think if he'd told her where he was going, she wouldn't have told her boss. Milestone indeed!!
but i also have to wonder about his response, again assuming it wasn't edited. Since it's apparent she was genuinely happy to see him, and he's wanted that from her, why is he so cold in his response? "The next number on the list," was said so coldly, he could have been speaking to Cooper or Ressler. Maybe he's pretending not to care as much since Fitch knows she means something to him and he's trying to put a little distance to keep her safe? Or he didn't intend the meeting and she tracked him down, so he's annoyed about that?
Either way Monday is taking WAY too long to get here...i'm going crazy without my Reddington fix!
I don't see how their scene from the promo can be assumed as a nice Red/Lizzie scene as if they don't have all that baggage between them. It's edited for a reason. And her "did you bring me anything" reminds me a lot of a child asking their parent if they brought them a gift after a trip without them.
Assuming there's no creative editing going on, it's not that Red isn't pleased that she's seemingly relieved to see him and comfortable enough to joke around with her. Red is, going by the sneak peeks, very very focused on rooting out the mole and dealing with all the people who betrayed him.
Red likely has a lot riding on this plan of his (whatever it may be) and anything or anyone who's a threat to that plan will immediately draw his complete attention.
It actually makes perfect sense that his coldness was simply due to an "I have better things to do," mentality like you said. It's so simple and obvious maybe that's why i didn't think of it..lol
I was re-watching the first 10 episodes the past few days and said the same exact thing last night. That is going to be one great episode when it airs. But the only person who knows is Red. I can't imagine he will tell her. But, who know?
Where'd you see the episodes? I have a couple of friends whom i've convinced to give it a try( they aren't James Spader fans, but i've got them willing to try it) but i can't find past episodes anywhere:(
I'm the reviewer for The Blacklist on SpoilerTV so I thought it would be best (as well as legal and appropriate, lol) if I bought the Series Pass on iTunes so I could watch the captions if I needed them. But I'm sure Hulu Plus would have the series or NBC.com sometimes has complete series but definitely has the last few episodes available for streaming. As far as other ways of watching I really have no idea how to watch the complete run without buying it from iTunes or some similar path. Maybe Xfinity StreamPix?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Yay looking forward to have the show back!
ReplyDeleteMe too. Just saw all the episodes again. James Spader rocks :)

ReplyDeleteI think it was creative editing, she was probably speaking to her husband.
ReplyDeleteI don't think so. Look at the colour of the walls. It's the same room.
ReplyDeleteLooks good. Will be nice to have this back on my screen.
