According to TheFutonCritic, NBC will swap Sean Saves The World and The Michael J Fox Show for one night.

On 23rd January 2014 "The Michael J Fox Show" will air at 9:01/8:01c followed by "Sean Saves The World" at 9:31/8:31c.

It will be interesting to see what, if any, impact this has on the ratings.

  2. I don't think it has anything to do with desperation. If it did, I would've thought they did it much sooner and tried blowing it up in the media in some way. Plus, this is apparently only for one night. This may simply be to test which is the best lead-in.

  3. Definitely want to see if this helps.

  4. If TMJFS still get below 1.0, i think its time for NBC to cancelled this unfunny show.

  5. Wouldn't it be a smart to move it to a night that The Big Bang Theory isn't against them.

    It won't help much.

NBC should start to burn off both shows on saturdays after the Olympics, replace them for reruns of SVU or The Blacklist until the Olympics and premiere The Night Shift on that slot (I think it is DOA, but it can't be worse than two shows that are averaging 0.7 for the hour).

  7. they've aired new episodes against repeats and still done crap so I doubt that would help. In any case where would they move them that wouldn't bring down the average of that hour?

  8. the quicker these shows are burned off the better, next season Thursday needs a complete overhaul.

  9. It's puzzling how NBC is still trying.

  10. Seems more like a low-stakes experiment to me rather than desperation.
