ReplyDeleteHmmm no mention of Aaron, considering Gene and Charlie went to find him in the previous episode! Hopefully Aaron configures in here somewhere and seemingly The Three Amigos don't stay so for long! (Wonder if Rachel just leaves them or what?)

Actually, I'm rather hoping there will be no Aaron at all, I'm beyond fed up with the "Aaron as resurrected Jesus, Lord of the Nanites" storyline. Of course, I've despised the character since it was revealed he had none when he abandoned his wife in season 1...for her own good.
ReplyDeleteAs for "The Three Amigos" that is going to be an interesting episode, because under NO circumstances can I imagine Rachel ever considering Monroe a friend, no matter how loosely defined the term. Now, if the show was smart, it would have grouped Miles, Charlie, and Monroe as the three amigos.
I'm with you on seeing Miles and Monroe working together...especially if we get some lovely flashbacks of their relationship before the Blackout so we can see that brotherly relationship. It would thrill me to how that relationship evolved and how it all fell apart. The show keeps TELLING us about it, but I'd sure like to SEE it.
ReplyDeleteIn terms of Aaron abandoning his wife, it does appear it was for the better since after he has an opportunity to save her life (which he does), we learn that she seems to be happy and have the family she wanted.
ReplyDeleteI love Aaron because he's the skeptic who is forced to ask himself if there is something more, even if it's just so he can eventually take more responsibility for himself. All of the characters have major problems with right and wrong and they live in a world where conventional boundaries of those things are pushed and more greatly tested. This story is similar to most other BR works. It's redemption and trying to find something good in yourself through your relationship with others and the events that one goes through together...
I think we don't know Rachel well enough or what went on after Miles rejected her at the airport and those missing 4 Monroe-Era years to know what exactly Rachel feels for Monroe. I think most likley she'll leave the group because Miles will support Monroe on something she doesn't agree with, but I do think "if" they go with the Monroe's Son-Charlie relationship story line, then Rachel will eventually have to make amends with him for her daughter's sake...
I would actually like to see them as children more...I feel like there's a specific reason that Miles and Bass are out playing with each other. Obviously Bass keeps suffering these really great losses and I think Shelly and his other baby's death is where he really turns into the sociopath, but I do wonder if his dad was abusive as well?
