FOX should have put the show behind Bones or move Dads to Fridays, put Brooklyn Nine-Nine at 8:00 p.m and put Enlisted after it. Such a shame. Damn you, FOX for putting the best new comedy on a freakin' Friday!!
So sad. I really liked it. I wouldn't best new comedy just yet but it was so good and had so much potential. I think they should have paired with B99 too, but moving Dads to Friday wouldn't solve it becuse Dads will not be part of FOX's spring schedule to begin with. They would have to have moved Glee to Fridays instead. I think they should just have done what they did with Surviving Jack on Thursdays and put it at 9h30 Wednesdays after Idol.
Well, as horrible as Enlisted numbers are, The Assets are a far bigger flop. For two reasons: 1) Enlisted airs on Fridays, so its numbers have to be adjusted to account for that 2) FOX's Comedy Average is way lower than ABC Drama Average
In my numbers, The Assets ended at 25% of ABC's drama average while Enlisted is at 45% of FOX's comedy average. While both are terrible, not quite the same. The only other show in the season to do worse than The Assets was Lucky 7, also at 20%. In fact, the bottom 5 performing shows on broadcast this year are all ABC Dramas (Lucky 7, The Assets, Killer Women, Betrayal, Wonderland)!
Comments: - Very sad for Enlisted but it was 100% expected, it would need a miracle to overcome this. I feel bad about the cast, I love all three of them. Bones did well, albeit a bit lower than for the fall finale, I think it shares quite a lot of audience with LMS. - ABC had a wonderful night! Shark Tank is in full beast mode, 20/20 is having a hell of a season and LMS is not recognized enough for what it does. A 1.5 on Friday for an ABC Comedy is incredible, it's only below The Middle and MF's numbers! - Poor Grimm is down again. Everytime NBC airs these foolish specials at 8 it goes down, why bother? Just air Dateline there that does a more solid job. I now think Dracula is dead. I didn't agree with the consensus before, but it's just too low now while all other ABC Dramas are stable or higher than they were before.
Well done Fox you go and tank one of the best new comedies of the 2013/2014. I could understand if the show was a stinker and they wanted to kill it off but its a great show so this kind of behavior is shitty
Ouch, I really liked Enlisted. I wasn't expecting high numbers, but it's still sad. Hopefully Fox will finish airing the season before cancelling it. And Dracula did worse than last week - a new low. Booooo.
I hope so, because I really want Hannibal to survive. I just need Hannibal to do better than Dracula is currently doing, stick as close to Grimm's ratings as possible and then I think we're guaranteed a S3. Moving it to Fridays and pairing it up with Grimm was NBC's best choice, now they just have to properly promote it (and give us a promo already!).
Neither Dads nor The Mindy Project will be on FOX's Tuesday schedule much longer. Dads will be gone by the end of February and Mindy will also vanish until late April.
It seems so odd because it also had a lot of buzz with TV critics as well so its not like everyone thought the pilot sucked, people like it! Give it a chance Fox.
i also want their to be a season 3 and many more after that , after the nervy ratings it had last season and its fate not being decided until well after it ended i hope it does much better ratings wise and gets a quick renewal after the season ends.
i know i mean how stupid can they be putting it behind raising hope which will surely be cancelled soon , they could have put it after bones at least with raising hope after it.
They used to do it before when the show was a monster hit, I don't see why they shouldn't do it now. FOX's priority should be to prepare itself for a world in which it doesn't rely on AI as much as it does now and reducing its hours would accomplish that.
I really doubt that unfortunately. I think it would have had to significantly overachieve last night (as in build on Hope for a few ticks) to FOX to consider doing it. If they didn't do it before, I don't see what incentive they could have to do it now.
I'd love a quick renewal, but we'll have to see how it does- it won't be with Grimm for its entire run, since Grimm has less than 13 episodes left for the season. I need at least 4 seasons so we can see their take on 'Red Dragon'. But if MGM stop being greedy and possessive and let them use Clarice and Buffalo Bill, I'd love a S5 as well and basically I want to see Bryan's vision told in full- 7 seasons and a cookbook. ;)
Just the fact that it went down, that's all. I know it's only 2 tenth and not that many less viewers (because 9x11 adjusted up to 1.7 and 6.91 mil viewers), but I hoping it would get at least a 1.7.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Damn it, FOX, why did you do this to Enlisted? It's so good!
ReplyDeleteEnlisted :(

ReplyDeleteEnlisted ties The Assets for the lowest rated premiere on the Big 4. Now the question is: "will it get the same treatment as The Assets from FOX".

Any day is better than Friday. I just can't believe FOX is sacrificing this show.

i know right , i haven't enjoyed really any new comedies except from mom this season but this i actually really enjoyed.

Bones :(
ReplyDeleteNeither can i , there both really good shows and i think Hannibal will do a lot better than it did on Thursday night.

ReplyDeleteI can't understand why they didn't even bother giving it the Bones lead-in.
ReplyDeleteIMO it's not as much the Friday thing as it is the fact that it's leading out of a 0.8 show...
ReplyDeleteIt seems so odd because it also had a lot of buzz with TV critics as well so its not like everyone thought the pilot sucked, people like it! Give it a chance Fox.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they wanna cut Idol's performance show.
ReplyDeleteso do you think the chances of fox moving enlisted to Tuesdays?
ReplyDeletei also want their to be a season 3 and many more after that , after the nervy ratings it had last season and its fate not being decided until well after it ended i hope it does much better ratings wise and gets a quick renewal after the season ends.

ReplyDeleteVery close to zero. There is no space. They have Glee+New Girl+B99 on Tuesdays after the Superbowl, so there is no room there!
ReplyDeleteI agree
ReplyDeleteoh damn it i forgot they were moving glee to Tuesdays.
ReplyDeleteOh man what the hell Fox?
ReplyDeleteUnless the network puts out a press release before, Friday cable ratings typically come out late Monday only, together with Friday finals.
ReplyDeleteI think that's what we are all feeling.
ReplyDeleteIt's ratings will be released on Monday.
ReplyDeleteYour right after reading the other comments everyone made i see its the consensus. We can only hope they move it before it gets canceled..
ReplyDeleteI really doubt that unfortunately. I think it would have had to significantly overachieve last night (as in build on Hope for a few ticks) to FOX to consider doing it. If they didn't do it before, I don't see what incentive they could have to do it now.

ReplyDeleteok thanks , i just hope it has done well.
ReplyDeleteok thanks!
ReplyDeleteWait for the adjusted numbers.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't worry for Grimm. NBC would be crazy not to renew one of their best-rated shows.
why the sad face? 9x11 had 6,8 million viewers and rating 1.6 that's not such a big difference after hiatus...
ReplyDeleteJust the fact that it went down, that's all. I know it's only 2 tenth
ReplyDeleteand not that many less viewers (because 9x11 adjusted up to 1.7 and 6.91
