    the scene where Watson explains why she selected that case and how she started working on it - oh wait.


    ok the scene when she realizes what she's looking at is evidence of what Sherlock couldn't do when he was high and how that triggers memories of being with Liam before she finally found the strength to walk away - oh wait.


    how about the scene when Watson decides she doesn't want to work on the case alone because she likes working with her partner and also thinks it might help both of them work through their separate "evil humors" regarding the effects of addiction in their pasts. oh wait.


    fine, seeing Sherlock asleep for the first time this season and having Watson wake him up by throwing clothes on his face.

    Thanks for all the "others" - of course 4 out of the 7 scenes were "Watson" scenes already, so I had to throw a few Sherlocks in there too...

    I don't consider Watson being there to make something a "Watson" scene. How were four of those Watson scenes? All of them were about Sherlock or Sherlock explaining something to Watson, except for the trepan offer, but even that was more Sherlock expressing gratitude to her than her offering anything about herself. (and I loved the whole trepan thread, both on the surface and for the symbolism. I'm just tired of having an endless supply of fascinating facets of Sherlock to love and almost never anything about Watson. I am pleased to know she can read Latin so well. But that's all we learned about her this week.)

    the shallots stood out to me, also, but as foreshadowing or hinting at some sort of possible Mycroft influence on Watson. Because the food she was preparing was significantly more complicated than anything else we've seen her cook. (Watson+pbj 4EVER) She recently told Marcus baked ziti was the height of her culinary repertoire, and now she's making a sauce in a copper pot?

    Hmm, interesting. Shallots are little onions, basically; admittedly, cutting them up isn't the same as peeling back the layers, but it's an intirguing possiblity. Food's a recurring motif in the show regardless; I enjoy how often food preparation/consumption informs a scene.

    I can see the merit there - but it's also possible that she was undervaluing herself. Which strikes me as a bit of a Watson thing to do.
