We have never really seen Sam and Cas interact together like that - so my votes went to Sam teaches Cas to hug and Cas tells Sam that life must be protected at all costs. Also voted for Dean tells Crowley he knows he played him. Crowley is an awesome character - but he is an awesome villain character looking out for number one. I am glad they didn't turn all buddy buddy at the end of the episode.
tough call. I liked the episode better than I thought I would and enjoyd several scenes, notably the Sam/Cas stuff, surprisingly--that's a bit of a change-up.
Mine was personally when Cain told Dean to come back when he called to kill him and then warped him and Crowley out of the house and killed all the demons. Loved Cain to pieces this episode.
Maybe bee keeper Cain. He was practically zen... But nothing really grabbed me from this episode. Not even Crowley's lines... Well, maybe "I'm Crowley." I liked the whole episode except for introducing Tara just to kill her... Just nothing stood out.
It's funny, Dean's storyline in season 9 is identical to Sam's storyline in season 4 and 5. Dean chose to be tainted (Sam chose to use his powers) in order to defeat Abbadon (Lilith). Well, Dean's actions here might make him a bit less judgmental of Sam.
I think when the writers insert John Winchester and the anything from the Winchester past like the storage facility is fascinating. It brings the old glory days of Supernatural back, love the Winchester mentions, all of them.
Cain shucking corn while the big fight was going down in the kitchen cracked me up. Tim Omundson was awesome in that scene, very understated, sipping on a beer.
Yeah, I was sad to see her go--despite only a couple of minutes of screen time, she seemed like a potentially interesting character (not to mention it being nice to see a forty-something woman given a part). But her death served well to underscore--in case we were forgetting--just what a bastard Crowley really is.
I have to wonder why the demons bothered to fight Dean. Why didn't one of the demons just use his mojo and toss Dean across the room a few times until he was unconscious, and then beat him until he was dead?

ReplyDeleteThey should have Cain played by ... Dean Cain.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the scene where Cain watched Dean fight off the demons. And the scene where Dean took the mark was good.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Apparently a few people didn't realize you were joking... Dean takes the mark and becomes Cain and therefor DEAN CAIN! LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteEverytime I talk about them I keep thinking of him too - lol
ReplyDeleteFinally! A storyline for Dean! Don't drop it writers!!! I vote for Dean getting the mark and Dean fighting the demons.
ReplyDeleteFor me it was definitely, hands down... the Dean fight scene and Dean taking the mark from Cain. Holy Hell! Great!

ReplyDeleteCain watching Dean fight. It was a bad-ass moment for Dean and a good reminder of just how dangerous he can be.
ReplyDeleteI hope it means that in the end it will be Sam who has to kill Dean to save him and Sam gets to go on with his life as a MOL/Legacy.
ReplyDeleteDean, Crowley and Cain scenes were all amazing. I really enjoyed them all, happy that Dean has a storyline which doesn't include worrying about Sam.

ReplyDeleteHow cute is Cass? ;) Great episode!
ReplyDeleteOther - "You're good, but I'm Crowley." Awesome line and delivered perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThat was totally on the "long list"!! Thanks for adding it here!! Adore Mark Sheppard!
ReplyDeleteYes! Yes you can!

ReplyDeleteI liked the scenes with Tara, too bad they had to kill the most badass female hunter we've seen in years.
ReplyDeleteEggs ackley!

ReplyDeleteAnd Sam getting the Point-of-View!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe because Cain was affecting their powers, as he did with Crowley's ^_^
