When Cohle was talking to the pastor outside with the little nerd nearby, the pastor said something like: If you speak to Bert alone, I believe you will be adequately convinced that.. and couldn't understand the rest.. can anyone help me out? :)
This is my thought of how the series will end. Reggie Ledieux is the killer, but Tuttle is implicated in the murders. I think Tuttle will be guilty of sexually victimizing the girls and using Reggie to kill them afterwards. Reggie will willingly go along with the murders because he's a devout follower of Tuttle's and Tuttle will have convinced him that his assault on them actually purified them of their sins, and he needs Reggie to kill them before they have an opportunity to sin again. The devil's traps placed around the murder scenes having served the purpose of keeping sin at bay until the girls had died. The girls will have been complicit in their own murders because they too bought the "illusion" Tuttle was selling.
Best episode so far. I knew the end scene was going to stop there but I really wanted it to go on. I do not want to wait an extra week for the next one.
Marty is such a hypercritical dick, always talking about the importance of family whilst having an affair. Rusty's speeches are wonderfully done but damn if you knew him in real life it would drive you crazy. It fascinates me that they ended up working together for 7 years, maybe this case really did bring them together.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletehe said that if he spoke to him alone he'd be adequately convinced that Bert was innocent.

ReplyDeleteThere's just something so dark and brilliant about this show.
