Main I'm loving me some Scott/Kira, they are so cute together. Those Oni guys are scary as shit, great SFX as well.
Also what's the point of Allison anymore? ever since the 2nd half of season 2 her character is a shell of her former self, If Kira stays for long, what is there left for Allison to do?
Yeah...I officially ship Scira. I kinda did before, but they won me over. And why the hell did Allison look so unhappy about them holding hands? Wasn't she like two minutes away from sleeping with Isaac before? And then spent this entire episode looking like she might jump him at any moment? I don't really understand her thought process.
I think Allison sees Isaac as more of a physical attraction, hence Isaac's "sexually frustrated" comment. When she saw Scott and Kira, she saw a genuine emotional connection, something she has/had with Scott.
Awesome episode like normal! I am completely curious about Papa Argent's background and what happened to him over the course of the episode. I really liked the fact that we are in the dark (for now) because it makes the wait for the next episode all the more intense.
By far my favorite scene was the questioning scene between FBI McCall and the group. Tons of snarky lines and when Kira agreed with them in the questioning, I felt she became part of the group. I also really like the scene where Stiles almost threatens Papa McCall. People have made suggestions about Scott's dad being abusive to his mom. Is that what Stiles and his dad know? Maybe the police were called in on a domestic violence call.
The best line: Allison: I am frustrated. Isaac: Sexually? For once the Isaac and Allison scene didn't break the pacing of the episode.
Stiles is by far the person with the most common sense on TV. He can make great deductions like look for the killer where he is most comfortable (AKA his old job), make smart choices on breaking the law (cloning cards as opposed to taking them), and make sensible advice like don't hang around Kira until she has been declared a sane monster. :) Every super evil fighting team needs Stiles.
And then Lydia was showing common sense too! "Youre not just a bad boy Aiden, your a bad guy. And I don't want to be with a bad guy." I love Lydia and she is one of the smartest people on Teen Wolf, but I hate that TV and YA novels constantly depicts girls going for people who are killers, bullies, and stalkers. To be fair though, she will probably end up with Aiden next episode.
I tremendously LOVE how they are treating the japanese mythology in the show, I LOVE THESE ONIS! And Kira, that fox aura...She is a kitsune for sure!!!
Arrow, Lost Girl and Teen Wolf are my currently favorite shows.
That was me, I deleted my message accidentally. Well, Game of thrones too, but I don't count that show as tv show, more as big and long movie along the weeks.
Thans for telling me the name of those mystical creatures. Oni... That one pulling out a sword was awesome. I'm curious what they are and what they are there for. He caught Lydia's scream & silenced her... I maybe the only person on here that doesn't watch any other supernatural show aside from Teen Wolf.
Kira is definitely something supernatural & I'm glad Scott explained what her light is. A fox!!! So much going on this season. The suspense is killing me. It's really good!! I think I like Scott & Kira and Alison & Isaac are becoming pointless.
Stiles is pretty smart!! I want to know Mr McCall secret too... It'll be interesting if Stiles is being controlled by someone or something...
Allison is there as Allison, not as Scott's love interest. The fact that's she's redefining herself and her family legacy doesn't mean she's a 'shell' or that there is no point in her existing at all.
i am crossing my fingers that isaac and alison dont hook up. i relish in the fact that they keep interrupting their kiss scenes. makes me believe it will never happen :)
Except that she's not, she barely gets any screen time, she the only time she gets on screen is to be .....Isaac's love interest. She's fallen 3rd on the female hierarchy after Lydia and now Kira with no real storyline of her own.
i'm not sure what u mean... Derek gets barely any screen time, the only time he gets on screen is to be tortured or lose a fight, Peter gets barely any screen time, the only time he gets on screen is to be sarcastic while it's implied that he's evil, Sheriff gets barely any screen time, unless he's there to highlight how there is an outside world concerned about the killings of the week or a convenient sounding board for the show to give us exposition, agent Mccal doesn't get that much screen time, only shows up to frown and demand explanations and then exits stage into ether, Danny barely gets any screen time unless he's there so remind us there are other kids at school too, Deaton gets barely any screen time, only time he gets on screen is so he can say something vaguely cryptic that hardly advances the story or the characters' arcs... etc etc but if we were to get rid off all of them, we wouldn't have a show, would we?
in the scene he enters the lab with Lydia, he wears a white tshirt with a colourful pocket at the left...and then when he's behind the desk while Lydia stares at the board, it's a white tshirt with blue trimming, he comes back towards Lydia and it's back to the first tshirt; i thought someone had just mixed the tshirts vs. now i'm inclined to believe someone was implying his own brain was mushing two separate occasions into one in his memory/perception.
The difference is Allison was the female lead of the show but now is relegated to background furniture, she's there to observe, make moon eyes at Isaac, and that's it. While Lydia has taken over as the lead actress with actual storylines and growing screen time, If they make Kira a regular which they might then there simply isn't enough to go around. She's no longer the female lead of the show like she was and her role keeps shrinking.
she never was the female lead of the show. there was no female lead. actually if the title was anything else than 'teen wolf' i'd be very difficult to persuade that there is a male lead. there was Allison, Lydia, Mrs Mccall and Kate Argent in s1 and, the way i perceive the story, they were all equally important cuz the plot wouldn't have gone where it went with any one of them missing. as for what Allison is now, she is a huntress in training, a future leader of her clan, but she chose to shed off prejudices of ages and she's changing things. her attempt to be a new kind of hunter, one that protects, instead of an indiscriminate killer has led her to this, to 3x13-3x16, to an internal struggle of conflict between what she aspires to be and what Kate tried to make her be, she's fighting herself and her demons manifesting as hallucinations of Kate, she's cooperating with others instead of demanding all things be done the Argent way, she's growing as a 'hunter' and as a person, and yes, she did not have such a prominent role in 3x16 but that can't be said for 3x13-3x15, and before i read your comment, well, the way i got the ep, Isaac was there to be Allison's love interest, her little fun, while she takes a break from the fight and the hallucinations, a way for the show to remind us that she's accomplishing all those things while still being a teenage girl with flirts, and insecurities and hoping to have fun once in a while. sorry this is so long.
She was the female lead in the female side, but once you fall for the side character this is what happens basically downgrade.
Either way I'm ok with it, Lydia is Nice, and Kira is too. I still didn't get Allison's reason for breaking up with Scott, Yes I got why, but then only to go in to the same situation again with another werewolf, now you have to ask your self, maybe the werewolf part was not the problem but Scott was...
The "interrogation" scene was awesome. Loved the Sheriff sitting back there trying not to laugh. Derek handing out the candy was also a hoot. There was a lot of set up of things to come. I'm really curious to see where things are going. Scott and Kira are adorable. Allison and Isaac...were better than the first ep back but - oh I know what it is - when the show first started playing Alison and Isaac as a couple there was a sweet innocence to the attraction. This season they seem to be playing more of an awkwardness and it just isn't working all that well for me.
I was a little worried that the open door madness had been forgotten and bang! Stiles winds up in the crazy. Poor guy. I want more!
I kinda know Daddy Argent's first name as well however "Chris", at least for me, sounds very young-ish considering the show is about supernatural teens. Kinda hard for me to get to terms with that. heehee
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletePoor, it would have been awful if it wasn't for the final confrontation and than the big reveal at the end.

ReplyDeleteso Stiles wearing two different t-shirts during the lab scene last ep was more of a hint than a wardrobe error. good to know :D
ReplyDeletei am crossing my fingers that isaac and alison dont hook up. i relish in the fact that they keep interrupting their kiss scenes. makes me believe it will never happen :)
ReplyDeleteI never realized that
ReplyDeleteExcept that she's not, she barely gets any screen time, she the only time she gets on screen is to be .....Isaac's love interest. She's fallen 3rd on the female hierarchy after Lydia and now Kira with no real storyline of her own.

Kira reminds me of Naruto (the anime). He was a host to a demon entity named "Kurama" who is a kitsune oni (fox demon) with nine-tails.
ReplyDeleteGood thing I'm not the only one who call the parents as such: Papa/Mama McCall, Daddy/Papa Argent, etc.

I can never recall the parents' first names with the exception of Chris. It just makes it easier. :) And sounds a little fun.
