It was great! I laughed so hard at Monroe and his son snarking at each other. But no, Monroe, bad idea to restart the Monroe Republic. That won't end well.
I agree, GREAT return from hiatus!! Monroe is delusional if he thinks that they can bring back the Republic. I really like the casting for his son. Going to be a great season 2 part 2! Now we just have to hope season 3 will happen!
Awesome episode! So glad the show is finally back.
Oh hell no at Monroe wanting to start the Monroe Republic again. That's not going to be good at all.
And oh shit at Grace showing up at the end. I wonder why she's in Spring City? I'm intrigued.
This show has really changed for the better from how it was in season 1 and it's awesome to watch. Such a shame not that many people are watching it anymore. They're really missing out on something special here.
I think Monroe really needs to let it go. Taking down the Patriots is fine, but bringing back the Monroe Republic? That's the last thing that needs to happen.
Matt Vairo is a GREAT choice for Conner and I love that Monroe is already hatching a plan to get his Republic back and seemingly without Miles this time...
I like having Charlie be with Gene too (and his reactions to her are priceless)
Aaron finding Grace (and next week someone else) in Springfield, Oklahoma was also another great surprise (it was totally a LOST moment!)...
I wonder what specifically is the oranges, if they are going to slowly poison them, or if it's some kind of drug that makes them complacent or turns them into slaves or something? -It was nice parallel to Neville's poisoning scenes (I think Lisa M. is right, his jealousy is going to lead to bad bad things). Wonder what Jason discovered? Can't wait to meet the President too!
Really excited to see where it's going and I am greatful that our return episode just kicks things into gear!!!!!!!
Seems like that's the case. It makes sense because Jason himself is a by product of that condition and because the irony that Monroe wants to start up the Monroe Republic again, when we know he experimented with psychotropic drugs too! (i may be why Miles thought Rachel was dead?)
I think Monroe will always have an angle (and I wouldn't expect anything less from a Bad Robot Villain: Sloan, Widmore, Bell), but I think his plans will be thwarted, as I think his son is worse than he is (more power hungry) and may take the Republic from him...But this dynamic is exactly what's needed to keep Monroe's story moving forward...
Well I think he's delusional not because he can bring back the Republic (I totally think he can), but because he thinks he can manipulate his son into a "good" partnership. I suspect the Conner is the one who will end up with his own Republic and it won't be lead with his father by his side...
Great episode, but they focus to much on Monroe story, my favorite scenes was the storyline on White House with Neville and Julia and the mistery at end with Aaron.
Orange injecting is that guy who picked up the crate idea's i'm thinking the speech guy has no idea what's happening lol besides when they showed him leaving the orange injecting guy i had this bad vibe from him lol
I really enjoyed this episode and it looks like the second half of the season is going to be great. I was thinking about something though and thought who better to answer than the SpoilerTV fans? Have we found out yet what Miles was doing in that shack at the beginning of this season when he walked out all bloody? Or is that something that has yet to be revealed?
I too am glad that there has been so much Monroe-centric storylines established. Not fond of the casting of Vairo as Connor though...he just lacks that sort of powerful presence that David Lyons has in abundance. I don't think his speech about retaking the Monroe Republic rings true though...I think he's using it as an enticement to get Connor away from the cartel and to follow him. At least I hope that's the case. Monroe conflicted is a much better and complex character than just bad-Monroe. I'm just excited to see what happens when the band gets back together. Specifically, I want to see how Charlie and Connor interact with each other. I'm not shipping them at all...die-hard Charloe fan here...but I think they'll be some fireworks ahead for two such driven and youthful characters.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletemaybe something about that mad training tom's kid took. some kind of small dosis of serum that made them easy to manipulate.
ReplyDeleteMonroe IS delusional. That's been established since the Pilot and the later half of S1
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE this season!

ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly...

ReplyDeleteGreat, it was a fun and emotionally charged examination into the motivations of the villain of the story
