I really liked Marcel explaining to Cami about who Klaus is. You really got to see their bond in the flashback and when Klaus went to check on Marcel instead of finishing off the witch. Although, it would have smarter if Klaus made sure the witch was dead first. On a different note, it's kinda ridiculous that Hayley being pregnaunt joined Elijah to find Rebekah.
I thought the idea to jump into the arms of someone who just nearly destroyed themselves, you and your family really dumb. I know that all the originals are flawed, but I hope that they eventually allow Rebekah to grow, because she is an awesome character.
I miss Davina and I want to see the Celest and Elijah scene.
I knew that Marcel had something to do with Mikael showing up, but I didn't know that Rebekah was behind it too. She's been screwing Klaus over for so long that there's no way to tell who actually started it. If what Papa Tunde said is true about the blade being capable of killing an Original, I hope the character death coming actually is Rebekah. The feuding is childish.
I'm pretty sure that Celeste will try to corrupt Elijah. She might even succeed.
OMG CELESTE GOTTA GO!!! She is pissing me off, and this was only like the first step!! Omgggg. I can't wait til Klaus, Rebekah, and Elijah find out it's herrrr!!!
Rebekah and Elijah scenes were very nice. I really do enjoy them. Idk what else to say about them.
Elijah and Hayley..my god their situation sucks! And i'm glad Hayley said that too. Klaus doesn't deserve to be honored right now. Idc he just screwed Caroline. As far as i'm concerned, Hayley and Elijah, can do whatever they want!!! Sadly they want. But seriously!! A kiss wouldn't hurt!!! When Hayley or Elijah finds out what Klaus did in MF, they're going to throw that nobility out the window!! (Or at least i hope so).
I agree with Marcel, I thought Klaus would lose a lot MORE people than that. I wonder where the ones that left are going to go??? And poor Marcel, grieving over Davina. I don't even like Marcel, but i do feel sorry for him. And really??? Please don't tell me Rebekah is doing all this to get a happy ending with Marcel, from way back when?? If it is, that sucks!! I thought she wasn't doing this for more than "love". I'm a little disappointed. Can't believe she brought up Mikael. But i know she had nothing to do with what down in MF. Buttt, could she have been the reason why Mikael was after her and Klaus (mostly Klaus) in the 1920s?? B/c that would be a helluva twist.
And that witch doctor. Papa Tumbo. Timbo, Matumbo, Dumbo, hahahahaha I am so glad he's dead. Whoa! He was getting on my nerves. When he went after Rebekah, i was like omg!! Wtf?? I knew she wasn't dead dead but still!! I didn't like that at all.
Cami. I liked Cami tonight. She is keeping her strength. Stands up to Klaus and helps out Marcel. (even though i ship Klamille) When Marcel was telling his story, and they jumped back to the present, and she say "That's terrible" i couldn't help but laugh. LOL The way she said it was sooo funny. But what really bothers me is that she judges Klaus for being a monster. Marcel admits that they're ALL monsters. Marcel himself has done a lot of damage, and yet she saves his life?? Umm confused face!! I don't get that. Yes yes, Klaus did what he did to her, BUT in his eyes he was trying to be "nice" with the actions he took. Idk w/e. Overall i really enjoyed this episode.
I already knew earlier this season that Rebekah and Marcel were the reasons why Mikael came after them and they had to flee not much a surprise to me but other people were probably surprised. I wish everyone especially Elijah and Hayley found out Celeste is actually alive and took the power from the Harvest and causing all of this but I guess we'll see that next week and find out her motivation soon obviously we know she would have some anger at Klaus for covering up his killing and saying they were witch sacrifices and I guess she's mad that Elijah didn't stop him?
Well i didn't!! Color me surprised. And anger??? I think that's an understatement. Klaus is responsible for her demise. She's beyond angry. lol I really do hope Elijah figures it out. She was there talking to him. Idk, she could hold a grudge against Elijah for that. I wouldn't doubt it. Nooo, Cami wouldn't Klaus' life at all. She wants to see him suffer or possibly die. She cares more for Marcel, then she does for Klaus. If Marcel opened up about ALL the things he's done. I think she would still care for him either way. But that's just what i think. We won't actually know til it comes to something Marcel does and she knows about it.
Terrible writing, major plot holes. It took me a while to figure out that the vervain in Cami's blood didn't hurt Marcel because HE had been drinking the stuff and probably had a tolerance to it. It seems that Klaus does have feelings for Cami, so when the producers said that relationship would never be romantic, they must have meant that she would never reciprocate. She's too hateful, even though she should consider herself lucky that all Klaus did was compel her to type. It could have been SO much worse.
Since when is the baby a "Quarter Witch?" I thought she was a hybrid. No one bothered to explain this, or even mention it before.
Klaus was obviously in a good mood because he got some validation in Mystic Falls, but that deteriorated quickly. He's a total bastard again. I don't know what it is with this show where everyone has to turn on each other. Klaus rushed to save Marcel, who is still watching Klaus for a weakness. It wouldn't be too big of a shock if the Originals leave New Orleans again at the end of the season and move on to another city. They don't have anyone to chase them, but everything could get so bad that they won't want to call New Orleans home anymore. That could be the kind of pattern they've followed for the past 1,000 years. They build a life in one place, and eventually they decide that it's time to move on. If the show is being filmed in Atlanta now, then producers might not want to film so much of the French Quarter anymore. No one established how long New Orleans would be a huge part of the show. I recall Klaus, at the very least, not being able to sit still for very long before looking for excuses to take off. Elijah moved around a lot too and was hardly ever around. Charles Michael Davis said himself that interests tend to change with vampires as times change.
Rebekah's character is becoming so easy to hate that I think (no, I hope) it's being set up for her to be killed off. Apparently, thanks to Papa Tunde's latest sacrifices, an Original CAN be killed by Celeste.
About the witch quarter witch business about the baby I'm sure it has do with the original witch being Klaus Mother, and about the vervain I do remember them mentioning that all of Marcel's vampires and himself drinking it since Klaus arrived.
I didn't mean that Marcel would side with Celeste. Of course he wouldn't do that. The problem is that Klaus doesn't want the power given back to the witches because they're out of control and I think he's afraid of them. Marcel would have to do something underhanded to get the power back to the ancestral witches in order to complete the Harvest. The only problem is that the witches will never stop murdering children as long as they can get power from it. This isn't Klaus' reason for wanting to stop them, but it's a valid reason why Marcel would be wrong to put Davina first and try to help those witches in any way.
Rebekah is no feminist. She swoons at the thought of someone trying to hurt her family just to be with her. She's vain and selfish. If she understands other women, it's because she's been in love and she's been hurt too many times. She's drawn to men who appear to care about only her and nothing else.
That didn't make sense to me either. The fact that the baby is a werewolf should trump that Esther is/was a witch. If a witch becomes a vampire they cease to be a witch and there has never been any indication that you can be both werewolf and witch (that shouldn't be possible).
But we haven't seen Rebekah go men like that at all. Stefan was pretty good friends with Klaus in 1922 but that seemed to have ended once Klaus compelled him to forget, she slept with Damon & had a fling with Matt despite the fact that they were trying to kill her.
He didn't exactly say it could kill them though. His exact words were, "It will do things worse than death, even to an Original." So, they weren't very clear on what the weapon could do. We shall see though.
I thought it was cute he was in such a good mood because Caroline finally returned his feelings but oh man, that CRASH I witnessed when damn near no one else was on his side was almost hard to watch. He needs his lady in New Orleans. :( I don't think they meant the baby was a quarter witch as in the from the French Quarter but that she was LITERALLY quarter witch due to Klaus's mother - Ester. Werewolf/Vampire/Witch/Human. It's like someone saying they are quarter Irish. I think the show is trying to get Klaus and the other originals to push for NO so hard because the sole reason they moved around so much before was because of Mikael. They don't WANT to roam around like gypsies anymore. They want a home. Klaus and Elijah actually like it in New Orleans, Rebekah seems like she's mostly ever only been miserable there so I don't understand why she doesn't make a home for herself elsewhere. Only time she seemed truly happy there was when Marcel was mortal.
Kind of underwhelming episode. They built up Papa Tundo so powerful that they only way he can be killed off is if they lets Celeste slit his throat due to some stupid reasoning. like he trusts her to carry out the vengeance herself better than he could have done it. He doesn't even know her. A perfect example of Julie writing herself into a corner.
Celeste - yeah go ahead try to use your body that's not even yours really, to get Elijah to betray Klaus. Thousand years didn't rip these two apart, i doubt some second rate woman is going to.
Rebekah is so lucky she can't be killed, out of these three she is the weakest link. I wouldn't want her to be the originator of my bloodline. She whines a lot but without klaus shielding her from all the dangerous enemies she wouldn't have lasted a century. one of 5 hunters or some powerful witch would have gotten her. His methods are cruel and savage but he gets the job done: protects his sibling and their home from invaders.
I'm having a hard time feeling sorry for Rebekah in this situation as well. Klaus isn't forcing her to stay and she hates damn near everything about that place.
I understand why she is angry and totally get why she feels the need to get back at Klaus. What i can't forgive or accept is how stupid she is. I think that if someone lived a 1000 years even he or she should be a lot smarter. What was she doing these years? Spreading legs and taking relative safety provided by klaus for granted? His always staying steps ahead of their enemies kept them safe from Mikael and others that sought to detroy the originals. Rebekah did nothing to contribute to the cause but she is super judgemental about his methods
I think Klaus would complete the Harvest properly if it took power away from the four raised witches, they are seemingly a much bigger threat then the possibility of the local witches attacking them on their own. Also, now that they know what the Harvest is and what it involves - sacrificing 16 year olds - to make the other witches stronger, I sincerely doubt Klaus or Marcel would EVER let them do it again. They shouldn't even need to though, since according to Sophie it's suppose to take like centuries between harvests.
This episode did her no favors unfortunately since it showed how excited she got when Marcel admitted to bringing Tunde to town to distract Klaus or run Klaus out of town so he could try to date her again. Rebekah liked that idea so much, she brought Mikael in on it which seems very OOC to me considering how much she seemed to hate him in TVD.
Huh? I don't think that woman spreading her legs is a whore. Women are allowed to enjoy sex just as much as men. What she can't understand is it's impossible to always fight off the attack of enemies and remain white cuddly furry puppy. Klaus is the way he is for a reason. Rebekah spend her life chasing the perfect guy while Klaus is always prepared for a war. Of course he is not going to remain with a gentle heart.
I liked Papa, why kill him off so fast. UGH. Every time there's a good character, they get rid of them. He was much more interesting than Celeste and a good enemy for all the Originals.
I don't know... i sort of think he got what he deserved. Not just because he threatened our babies, the originals)) but because he was brutal towards everyone: werewolves, humans, even witches who didn't want to ally with him. As for being an interesting character: in the past he was so full of himself for absolutely no valid reason at all, he got killed by klaus shamefully easily. And in the present they made him so powerful that i really didn't see how Elijah and Klaus could charge him and not be stopped with a simple touch. They hyped him up, he threw aroung big words about hurting klaus and than just let his throat get slit. I feel let down, so the whole episode was just a filler and a set up for whatever happens in the next one with Celeste and dagger.
Two questions, firstly what happened to the white oak stakes because they can kill an original we've witnessed it twice now with kol and depressing original, second if anyone were to try kill Klaus why not go for the heart or cut off the head like other hybrid kills. Granted have to be extremely dumb to try it but still, p.s I still love rebekah for all she maybe conflicted right now.
The white oak stakes that Stefan, Damon and Alaric made were burned in the episode where Rebecca tortured Damon.. the only one remaining was the one Alarics alter ego had and which was turned into an ultimate weapon by esther with Alarics ring. But this one is somewhere I think Damon has it after Jeremy killed Kol with it.
I doubt they will kill Klaus. Ever! It's all throwing around words but they would kill two shows with it. I mean he still is the originator of the Mystic Falls vampires bloodline..
I wondered that about Klaus too, not just Klaus but the other originals as well. I wonder if their heads just "won't" be cut off and their hearts straight out refuse to leave their bodies because we saw Damon trying to burn Elijah's corpse when they daggered him the second time and the fool wouldn't burn. at. all.
I think the last time we saw the stake was when Elijah gave it to Klaus as some sort of silly ass peace offering after siding with Rebekah. Like, "opps, so now you are going to have to spend eterenity on the run from a true immortal that can't be killed and will make you cuckoo with his mind tricks, but don't worry, he can't kill you... unless he mindrapes you into it because now you have the stake.... uhhhh..... yeah... I didn't think this through. Oh well, I'm off to Katherine's! Have a nice life!"
Well Elijah' body didn't burn and i am sure Damon tried the chainsaw on him as well. It's best not to think about details like it because that's when the real world we live in and the tv world we watch clash in a major way and it can take all the fun out of watching supernatural show.
I hope Klaus hid the stake well, not because i am afraid any of them will get killed off with it, but because i don't want it to reappear and eat away screen time since we already know they won't die. We should be more afraid of one of them being forcefully turned into human or daggered and dropped into ocean than dying.
The only thing we know as a fact is that you cannot be a witch/vampire. I don't see why it would be impossible though, because werewolves are human until they trigger the curse. Klaus was a witch/warlock or whatever, they all were until they became vampires.
Klaus has the ONLY stake that can kill an original. As for cutting of his head and going for the heart. Maybe they are unable to cut through his neck or rip his heart out? I mean they tried to burn Elijah and the only thing that happened is his suit burned, so...but this is a vampire show so little details like that are best ignored lol
They screwed up the canon of the story. Vampire 101 - If an individual claims that they were on vervain, my immediate thought is she's ingested it. But then three scenes later Cami's sacrificing herself to help Marcel but all I could think was she's going to hurt him even more, but he was fine.
I'm so annoyed they don't have an actual mythology anymore, they just make things up as they go and it's ridiculous. Plus, seriously, I can't stand anyone but Klaus (when he's not cray-cray with Camille), Rebekah (when she's not babysitting '16 and pregnant') and Marcel. They totally ruined Elijah and it makes me mad.
The only thing I could think of was Katherine said she'd been taking vervain every day since 1864 and built up an immunity to it in TVD Season 2. Since Marcel lived with the Originals he may have been taking it since Klaus turned him in 1835 - so he may have had time to build up an immunity to it the way Katherine did.
I am in love with this show and the original family, Marcel, and Hale. Some people have an issue with Hale and Elliges love tension, but I love it. I just want him to put a ring on her fin,ger making her a true member of the family so that, Elijas brother wont kill her and run off with the baby. And I pray the kill that witchy bitch already, move the story along.
I don't understand why Cami is so mad at Klaus. So he made her forget some things, it's not like he forced her into doing bad things. It seems like he actually likes her and was trying to avoid bringing her fully into his life because he didn't want her hurt. I really do hope there is eventually a scene where he explains his reasons.
I don't like Rebekah, but it's about time someone called Elijah out on his feelings for Hayley. I don't want them together at all. I think it's weird to want to be with the girl who is pregnant with your brother's son. I absolutely believe Elijah would turn on Klaus for someone he shouldn't be with. I love Elijah, I just don't want them together.
I'm upset Marcel and Rebekah have been plotting together for so long to get rid of Klaus. It just made me not like her even more. I like Marcel and I hope he will eventually side with Klaus.
I'm with you about Rebekah. Holy hell that girl is a mess. The writers have done a real hatchet job on her. Her character started going downhill ever since she turned her car around to come back to New Orleans when Hayley went missing. She's a walking contradiction with conflicting and confounding motivations.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I really liked Marcel explaining to Cami about who Klaus is. You really got to see their bond in the flashback and when Klaus went to check on Marcel instead of finishing off the witch. I thought Rebekah had a bit of a point. Elijah keeps promoting all this family loyalty stuff and he's over there fawning over Hayley all the time.

ReplyDeleteThe white oak stakes that Stefan, Damon and Alaric made were burned in the episode where Rebecca tortured Damon.. the only one remaining was the one Alarics alter ego had and which was turned into an ultimate weapon by esther with Alarics ring. But this one is somewhere I think Damon has it after Jeremy killed Kol with it.
ReplyDeleteI doubt they will kill Klaus. Ever! It's all throwing around words but they would kill two shows with it. I mean he still is the originator of the Mystic Falls vampires bloodline..
I wondered that about Klaus too, not just Klaus but the other originals as well. I wonder if their heads just "won't" be cut off and their hearts straight out refuse to leave their bodies because we saw Damon trying to burn Elijah's corpse when they daggered him the second time and the fool wouldn't burn. at. all.
ReplyDeleteI think the last time we saw the stake was when Elijah gave it to Klaus as some sort of silly ass peace offering after siding with Rebekah.
ReplyDeleteWell Elijah' body didn't burn and i am sure Damon tried the chainsaw on him as well.
ReplyDeleteIt's best not to think about details like it because that's when the real world we live in and the tv world we watch clash in a major way and it can take all the fun out of watching supernatural show.
I hope Klaus hid the stake well, not because i am afraid any of them will get killed off with it, but because i don't want it to reappear and eat away screen time since we already know they won't die. We should be more afraid of one of them being forcefully turned into human or daggered and dropped into ocean than dying.
Well even Elijah doesn't think everything trough all the time :D haha
ReplyDeleteMarcel drinks vervain, this was stated very early in the season. Why would an explanation be needed?
ReplyDeleteThe only thing we know as a fact is that you cannot be a witch/vampire. I don't see why it would be impossible though, because werewolves are human until they trigger the curse. Klaus was a witch/warlock or whatever, they all were until they became vampires.
ReplyDeleteKlaus has the ONLY stake that can kill an original. As for cutting of his head and going for the heart. Maybe they are unable to cut through his neck or rip his heart out? I mean they tried to burn Elijah and the only thing that happened is his suit burned, so...but this is a vampire show so little details like that are best ignored lol
ReplyDeleteThey screwed up the canon of the story. Vampire 101 - If an individual claims that they were on vervain, my immediate thought is she's ingested it. But then three scenes later Cami's sacrificing herself to help Marcel but all I could think was she's going to hurt him even more, but he was fine.
ReplyDeleteI'm so annoyed they don't have an actual mythology anymore, they just make things up as they go and it's ridiculous. Plus, seriously, I can't stand anyone but Klaus (when he's not cray-cray with Camille), Rebekah (when she's not babysitting '16 and pregnant') and Marcel. They totally ruined Elijah and it makes me mad.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I could think of was Katherine said she'd been taking vervain every day since 1864 and built up an immunity to it in TVD Season 2. Since Marcel lived with the Originals he may have been taking it since Klaus turned him in 1835 - so he may have had time to build up an immunity to it the way Katherine did.
ReplyDeleteElijah have the stake to Klaus. We don't know where he stashed it.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the episode, one of my favorites so far :)
ReplyDeleteAwful, I was just so bored with the villain of the episode who just ended being a sacrificial lamb for Celeste
ReplyDeleteI am in love with this show and the original family, Marcel, and Hale. Some people have an issue with Hale and Elliges love tension, but I love it. I just want him to put a ring on her fin,ger making her a true member of the family so that, Elijas brother wont kill her and run off with the baby. And I pray the kill that witchy bitch already, move the story along.
ReplyDeleteThere's so many plot holes in this show that I don't even care anymore. This was the last episode of The Originals I'll ever watch.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why Cami is so mad at Klaus. So he made her forget some things, it's not like he forced her into doing bad things. It seems like he actually likes her and was trying to avoid bringing her fully into his life because he didn't want her hurt. I really do hope there is eventually a scene where he explains his reasons.
ReplyDeleteI don't like Rebekah, but it's about time someone called Elijah out on his feelings for Hayley.
