Sometimes it's difficult to overlook how poorly the women are treated on this show. I was cringing through every scene with Lisbon and Fischer reacting to Jane. Ugh.
Awesome. Fun Jane but not crazy guy and Jane tricking Krystal lol. The second he took a look at her I knew he had her read. Her as the killer was well orchestrated and Jane calling her a spider to her face. I thought she would blow up not take it as praise. Spider is never a compliment, black widow comes to mind. Jane schmoozing her like a salesman and he wasn't nervous or rusty, insincere is a big hint she had to be a killer. Jane diving in. 3 vs 1 alol.
Y'know I never believed Kim was sent to the island to talk to him or manipulate. Or convince him for her job. Abbott's not dumb. Jane reads people and she would go to him not him to her. Good she admitted it to Jane though I am sure he knew and the reason he was not angry. Like he said she didn't fool him and you can tell his feelings. I'm sure he will figure out her life but did he expect her to confide in the office lol admirable she is open but Jane knows when a person is honest or isn't.
great ep. I liked Jane's gambit with the evil (but hot) Krystal... so far. I have been enjoying this reboot of the show except it seems that they're possibly toying with the CW's main plot device of a romantic triangle, but for now I like the way the show has been handled thus far...
I think I speak for most of the fans when I say that this episode was a complete disappointment. You can still hear the screams and chants of "where is Lisbon???" on Twitter. Where was she? She had 5 minutes of screen time at most. Everyone loves Lisbon so I dont quite understand that. There was no Jane and Lisbon interaction both professionally and personally. Its like the last 5 and a half seasons didn't happen. Jane was acting like a jerk and the date scheme was unnecessary. What happened to Jane and Lisbon working together and causing trouble? I dont understand pushing the show in the complete opposite direction to what EVERYONE WANTS. This may be the last season we have, so I cant for the life of me understand what the writers were thinking with this episode. The Mentalist is nothing without the Jane and Lisbon dynamic and the writers and Bruno should know that by now. Jane is not the same man without Lisbon, which might be what they are trying to show us, but they are in serious danger of ruining the whole show and the dedication of their international fanbase if they keep this crap up. We want Lisbon. Lots of Lisbon. Lots of Jane and Lisbon. Im glad we got lots of badass Cho and Kim seems like a good friend for Lisbon, but dont ignore the thing that keeps this show afloat AKA JANE AND LISBON BANTER, FLIRTING, FRIENDSHIP.
Didn't like it at all, why are they cutting Robin's screen time? it doesn't feel right at all, Jane and Lisbon are partners and friends in this episode acted like total strangers. Fischer is taking her place, she's exactly like s1-s5 Lisbon we didn't need another one. the only thing i liked about the episode was Kim/Lisbon scene at the bar, the rest was a big NO. i hope she gets her screentime back like before, this is the only change i won't accept for the mentalist 2.0
Jeez, if just for ONE episode Lisbon isn't showed too much on screen, that doesn't mean the writers forgot about her and her relationship with Jane! May i remind you the show is called "The Mentalist"?? I think Bruno wants to give some little space more to Fisher and Abbott because they are new on the show. Just wait next episodes when Jane and Lisbon's relationship wil be showed more.
I agree with you 100%. I think everyone should just chill out! They're not cutting back on Lisbon's screen time, just because she wasn't the focus of this episode! I think it would be boring if the show was only about Jane and Lisbon from now on even though I love Jisbon very much! I think it's good that they're taking their time exploring their new relationship. I'd be so disappointed if they just got together, because then that storyline is over for good!
Funny how you think you can speak for EVERYONE. I actually find this "new" Mentalist interesting and refreshing. Of course the show had to change when RJ was killed. Patrick isn´t the same person, how then can the show be the same?
I like all Mentalist episodes, and this one is OK taking into account new characters and new show direction.. But if Lisbon scenes will be cut down, I think there will be a lot disappointed fans out there.. Beware :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Lisbon made a friend. Cho is awesome. Actually wanted to see more Abbott and same old Jane

ReplyDeleteI don't like the new FBI chick - Her face bothers me!!
ReplyDeleteIt's not the same show anymore. :(

ReplyDelete-_- last season ppl were saying that they were dragging out red john. now they want him back?

ReplyDeleteUhm,no. How can it be. after RJ was killed?
ReplyDeleteBoo I liked Krystal.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't one of the people who said that.
ReplyDeleteIt can't be. But I can be sad about it.
ReplyDeleteJust an ok episode to me. Lisbon wasn't in the episode enough, which is a shame considering how great Baker and Tunney are together on screen.

ReplyDeleteI'm loving Cho in these new episodes.
ReplyDeleteI thought Krystal and Jane were very hot. (I also knew he knew he had her pegged from the get go.)
ReplyDeleteOf course you can.
