This turned out better than I thought it was going to be. Although, I still feel that their execution of this storyline could of been better. I liked how Bo was not involved in the side story at all in this episode.
I take it back. The episode delivered, although it feels a little Anti-Climactic, the Una Mens didn't really do much as the big bad this season. But, I guess it was to set up this "one seed to screw them all" situation or whatever. I wonder who that was in the end with the bloodied and bandaged hand. The synopsis or the next episode gives nothing away either...
Wow a case of the week that actually worked for me. I liked the new undercover team. And I must say, this year the main plot is building up much better than last year. I liked the flashback storyline of Bo, although it was cramped into one episode. It did leave me shocked that Bo would slaughter the Una Mens just like that. The idea of her truly falling for Rainer was nice, and I like Kyle Schmid, but it was too rushed for me. So the feeling she has been brainwashed or manipulated kind of still sticks. What was that power when Rainer marked Bo? It still looks like he cold be an Incubus, as theories are out there.
Awesome episode !! Loved it! And even though Bo was evil-ish, it's awesome seeing her breaking rules and kicking ass :-D
But I'm confused about the wanderer/Rainer. He could be hiding his true self to get Bo to help him. But then again, maybe he's not the evil monster everyone's afraid of.. Someone else might be the evil pulling the strings? manipulating the both of them. The curse could be the reason he's not remembering, but that wouldn't really fit the Tamsin storyline (or Aife's storyline). Him lying to Bo would fit the storyline... So many questions! I'm so looking forward to answers :-)
And thats finally a great mystery they have given us to enjoy over the season (and not only the two final episodes). At the moment I am suspecting that Aife is the hand we saw at the final scene. We don't know what happend to her after her confrontation with Trick. Only the scene were Trick puts away a bloodied knife. It could also be the freshly reattached hand of Vex, but somehow I doubt that. There would also be the fact, that Linda Hamilton is coming back and we have her missing one hand. I did not have the impression that Rainer is not truly in love with Bo, but insticts scream to me that there is smth off. I did like their dynamic when they were fighting the Una Mens.
I would be sad if it's Raina. He is like the obvious choice here. I would love to see Druid and his mother come back. Or maybe Aife Vex could be the most terrifying and hilarious villain ever.
All in all, this episode was awesome. Kenzi killed me with stealing Lauran's underwear. lol
I think, with Rainer, we'll see the flaws in Bo's position once it's taken to a polemical extreme. For all intent and purposes, she slaughtered the last of the Una Mens, at least. I see how Rainer could be here destiny, in the sense that they share the common goal of 'freeing' the fae, it's a new faction in praxis - The Unaligned - freeing the fae from having to choose sides. But, it must also be remembered that not all the fae want to be freed. Some prefer the system and have formed lives and friendships around this whole system of being. It's not a rebellion everyone wants or is comfortable with. Therein lies the complete nepotism of a the 'movement.'
Whose hand was this at the end? Three good candidates are Aife, Massimo (the Druid) and the elder Valkyre (played by Linda Hamilton). I don't like Rainer because I don't trust him but his power is cool.
I get the impression that Rainer isn't The Wanderer, or at least he;s not the only one. Trick probably cursed more than one person out of history, and the "evil" running the train and ordering the handmaiden,Tamsin and the crows is probably Bo's father. technically neither Rainer or the handmaiden ever refer to him as The Wanderer, he claims he didn't kidnap Bo and not know who she is, but the handmaiden is intent on playing matchmaker and she clearly knew Bo is "the one". also blowing up bars from a distance, resurrecting people and possessing witches isn't Rainer's power as far as we know. the Una Mens also allude to it when they call Bo the spawn of evil.
I see why Rainer is the enemy of the blood king he can techniquely break the blood kings writing because if he wrote how someone is supposed to die like blade here or gunshot their Rainer could see it before it happens and change the outcome
Even though Bo killed the Una Mens speaker, I'm thinking she might be the bloody hand picking up the seed. The sleeve looked like an una mens garment. I'm worried Aife might be dead :-( last episode Trick talked about Bo saying "She's all I have left of my line" And that does not bode well for Aife... But I'll be mad if she's dead!! Now I'm anxiously looking forward to Tamsin meeting Rayner (hopefully in the next episode), then we'll know if he's the evil monster who wanted Tamsin to find Bo, or if someone else is pulling the strings :-)
I think the druid is still alive. He did take the Twig of Zamora as payment from Kenzi. So he should be protected, even from lava. But mostly, I'm hoping Aife is alive and that she took it :-)
Yeah, I've been wondering about the same things. Maybe Rayner isn't the real wanderer. I'll be a bit disappointed if Bo's father isn't the worst monster ever.. I wish the una mens speaker would have named the spawn of evil that Bo came from :-) But Tamsin meeting Rayner will probably give us a lot of answers
the druid could be a good guess. I just rewatched the epiosde and the hand was bandaged and it looked the scars are burned skin. There was a ventilator system in the background, which reminded mit of Massimos lair.
oh forgot about Tricks family Phrase. Don't think it's the Una Mens, it Looks more like a Bandage. I like the theory smb posted it could be Massimo the Druid, although I'm not givin up on Aife. Agree, I am also very keen on seein Tamsins reaction to Massimo.
I am hoping it to be Aife too, but i don't think its Limbo where this scene takes place, since there is the vent in the background. BTW I'm guessing the Levi is Bo's grandma.
Did anybody els felt reminded of the caretaker from the Dawing while seeing the gang sweeping the floor? especially with Dysons outfit too. On showcase forum smb posted a picture were you can see the same calendar in the background that was shown in the dawning....
I have another quite disconcerting one. I posit that the bloody and bandaged hand might be Taft's. I think he is capable of a kind of cruel and blind madness that will make the fae unite. Or something a lot more left field like Taft & Lauren's brother (who I dunno why, but I'm going to call him Phillip) colluding to bring the fae down...some kind of underground human-fae hybrid supremacy ring. Someone should write some fanfiction on it.
Firstly, sooooo many dirty jokes there! Also, Dyson doesn't eat people...I think. But, it could totally be Taft, although it s being said that it maybe Vex. Who would be an odd choice but the actor is so versatile, I think it would be a very interesting choice. I wonder if the Seer's sister, the one Trick had dated, could somehow be involved? Or, maybe it is finally whomever Bo's father is supposed to be, since it's not Mr. I Stole James Dean's wardrobe. Gosh that guy is just so dreamy and I think...evil. He will eventually put Lauren's spy-bang to shame. I miss Evony. She has this evil Holly Golightly sorta way of speaking that I find so freaking cool. But, I think I completely lost my train of thought. Sorry for the ramble.
Am I overthinking this, but did anybody notice that Arrow and Black Sails both have introduced bisexual characters without making this an issue/topic in itself (regardless how well or bad written it is)? Are they copying LG?
Ok after another interesting episode of season 4 I have a theory. Its about that missing seed Trick had or didnt injest or watever. Anyway the place where we saw it in season 4 episode 10 looked like Levi’s lair or soul taking place of Fae. We see the Una Men’s power going into that seed and then a bloody hand Reaching for it. Now I think it is Bo’s mother who is reaching for it. One we last saw her in episode 1 of the new season then like 3 or 4 episodes later we see trick with blood on his arm and he must have killed his daughter or by accident. How the seed got there idk but maybe Bo’s mom wants total power and agreed with someone to get the seed or was promised by someone for power cu we know how power hungry she is. I could be wrong about it being Bo’s mom but this is only a theory.
I see why Rainer is the enemy of the blood king he can techniquely break the blood kings writing because if he wrote how someone is supposed to die like blade here or gunshot their Rainer could see it before it happens and change the outcome
My first thought was Vex ( the bloodied bandaged hand) bc Lauren wanted to operate him some episodes ago..attach his hand back on.. But it could also be Raina....maybe he was hurt in the fight with the Una Mens. Tbh i think the latter is more likely.

ReplyDeleteAwesome ep! But...
ReplyDeleteReinard denies knowing how Bo was brought on the train, if not him, who did?
What were all the flashbacks about? Bo's youth?
woooooooow! the end...trick telling Bo what she already did...hahahaha she was desperated. lol
ReplyDeleteWas I the only one realy anxious when Lauren was in that swimming pool? lol
Good episode. Things are getting ugly!
awwwwww the una mens....=( They were a pain in the ass but they were cool too.
Awesome episode !! Loved it!

ReplyDeleteI'll start: IT SUCKED :P
ReplyDeletereiner is the wanderer guy right ?
ReplyDeleteit is impossible for him to have the origin seed.
he was stuck on the train when trick lost the seed.
he was with bo when she 'killed the una mens'
the druid kinda makes sense since he wanted 'power/respect' and then just seems to give up by jumping in a hot lava pit..
vex, doesn't strike me as all that evil.
memory wipe/protection
ReplyDeleteNo Tamsin then it's aweful!
ReplyDeleteI'll second that it sucked no Tamsin again!
ReplyDeleteI get the impression that Rainer isn't The Wanderer, or at least he;s not the only one. Trick probably cursed more than one person out of history, and the "evil" running the train and ordering the handmaiden,Tamsin and the crows is probably Bo's father.

ReplyDeleteI hope they'll explain the "he is my destiny" thing. I don't see anything destiny-like
ReplyDeleteOne of the better episodes this season.
ReplyDeleteLovestruck is an apt description :-)
