Loved it! We finally get to see Juliette's "badass" side, that we always knew was there. I loved when she hugged her woging friend. I liked how Rosalee was dressed a little hipper tonight and not so much like a lumberjack and her revelation of her seedier past was dealt with well. So sorry for Hank. I thought he'd finally have a love interest. Guess not. At least this wasn't as painful as his affair with Adalind. But what I liked most of all was how the writing used to the fullest its main concept of a being who is attuned to certain hidden creatures. Nick frightened the Wesen witness in the hospital by threatening with his Grimmness, and he was able to bring Juliette and her friend closer by helping Alicia not be ashamed in front of Juliette for being Wesen.
great ep... was a little annoyed at Juliette at first for trying to coerce her friend into coming out, (and throwing out the Grimm term out like it's no big deal) but loved her showing off some choice ass kicking skills... I wonder if her friend will recur from time to time since she's a fuchsbau like Rosalee (I think). I felt sorry for Hank with Zuri turning him down, but I have a feeling that this plot isn't over yet...
Well, it's not exactly a revelation...we knew this since the very first episode she turned up in. But yeah, the scene was well done. It's great that the writers are currently focussing more on world-building than wasting our time with boring conspiracies.
I got it, though...all this "I know, and you know that we know, but we all pretend as if there is nothing to talk about" would have driven me crazy, too. Yeah, now that I got a better look, I think she is a fuchsbau after all. Which means, she should actually be able to beat a Klaustreich in a fight, I guess.
my question about the Wesen grapevine is answered. None know about Nick til they meet him.
Realky lijed this ep. Kjnd of bummed about Hank not getting a lady friend because it would have been a little too much. Lkved Nick using his Grimm pisition to 'persuad' peopke to tow the line. ;-) Abd you go Jukiette...what points you lost in your clumsy handljng of talkjngbto you friend you made up for in kicking butt. I waited several weeks fir that fight and I was not disappointed.
I support Juliette's decision to force the issue. She's so good at relationships, partly because she knows that laying the secrets out on the table is healthy. She did the same thing with Nick when she knew he was keeping something from her, telling him she realized he was keeping something from her and until he let her know, the relationship wasn't ready for marriage. And she was right both times. She and Alicia are closer than ever now, and I hope Alicia comes back. As another friend of the group, maybe?
Yes, not the subtlest approach, lol. But I can understand that Juliette is fed up with all that lying about wesen things. It got her in quite a predicament so confronting her friend with the truth seems to be the logical course of action for her. I wonder if we'll see Alicia again. I actually liked her.
I didn't think "revelation" was quite the word I meant, even as I typed it. Probably "discussion" would have fit better. Anyway, it's good that Rosalee's past has been revisited, and that we can see how much she's changed and how Monroe loves her for who she is. In fact, loving people for who they are was a theme tonight. It's too bad Zuri couldn't accept Hank, knowing that he knows what she is.
Amen. Less focus on conspiracies, more focus on Nick's Grimmness being useful. I don't think we're done with conspiracies--we'll see what happens when the Royal Baby comes--but it's been a nice break.
I was kinda disappointed that Jared and Zuri ended up being wesen - not because it wasn't good writing, it was great writing - I just feel that everyone on this show who isn't already defined as human is wesen.
I liked Jared, Zuri and Alicia - hope we see them again. Poor Hank - he has no luck in love. I wouldn't mind Hank getting a bit more of a side story with or without a love interest. Juliette was freaking awesome this episode - her character has become so much more relevant and interactive now that she knows. I think it was a great choice to involve her instead of dragging it out another 5 seasons.
On a completely different note, I hope that what happened to Nick's mom and the coin comes to light soon. Great episode!
What I wonder, though, is why Nick had to tell Juliette about Alicia in a diner the next day. I assume they spent the night together and therefore had enough time to talk. I don't see any sense in doing that in a diner within the few minutes Alicia is using the bathroom.
Freda, I felt that same disappointment that you did on seeing that Jared and Zuri were Wesen. One time when Nick mentioned that some person was Wesen, the Captain responded, "Isn't everybody?" Seems so, and it feels overdone. About Nick's mom, I believe Juliette is going to have some e-mail correspondence with her soon, according to a synopsis on this site.
the way I read that was that Nick's main concern was that if her friend found out that he is a Grimm she'd do what she did when Juliette tokd her; run. I thought he had that conversation to make sure the friend didn't over hear him telling Julliete that she was Wesen
Great episode! I liked it better than the last few and I am not even the biggest Hank fan. I thought Juliette was awesome and I liked the Hank and Zuri storyline, I hope we get to see them again. My only complain was that we didn't get enough from the Captain but considering we had plenty of him on the last few episodes I say it's acceptable.
Who tired of hearing "You're a Grimm!" please up vote and if you like hearing it pleas down vote lol
One more thing Nick sure took his sweet time to enter the restaurant lol he was spotted walking towards the entrance when Juliette was sitting down with her friend and by the looks of how far was their table to the entrance it wasn't far lol
I thought that, too. We'll have to assume that one of them left in the morning while the other was still sleeping. And maybe Nick went to sleep early while Juliette and Alicia were still visiting until late?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Way to freak out your friend, Juliette. I'm glad Nick was able to calm her down, though.
ReplyDeleteGreat episode!
Love it Juliette was boss can this show get any better

Juliette The Wesen Slayer :)

Neither nor...I don't particularly like hearing it, but I don't mind it, at all.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too. I like the actress....she has a recurring role on Lifetime's "Client List", and she's good in that role too.
ReplyDeleteWhen the season is over i'm making a counter video to see how many times Your a Grimm was said lol
ReplyDeleteI thought that, too. We'll have to assume that one of them left in the morning while the other was still sleeping. And maybe Nick went to sleep early while Juliette and Alicia were still visiting until late?
ReplyDeleteAnd then Juliette comes right out with, "and Nick's a Grimm!" when she's confronting Alicia in the kitchen. Too funny. I love Juliette.
