  1. DIANE: Objection. Calls for speculation.

    JUDGE: Sustained.

CARY: Your honor, we are co-defendants here. Mrs. Lockhart can't object.

DIANE: He sustained YOUR objection to OUR questioning.

CARY: Yeah, which was a mistake.

  2. This season just gets better, I swear. They actually took care of a few issues that could've undermined the character development as well as the flow of the season:
    1) Cary finally was able to have a moment to pull one over on L/G and Kalinda... She used him so much when she strung him along from seasons 2-4 it was nice to see him get his. (And then they had a night out!? Maybe they are FINALLY having a real relationship lol)
    2) The courtroom scenes were ridiculous(ly good) from all the opposition and the dynamics between the defense counsels, the 2 juries, the judge...Not to mention Matan Brody (and the girl who I like but I never know her name?) finally made another appearance just to watch the defense do their job for them.
    3) Interesting that Robin was able to meet up with the witness before Kalinda got there...Looks like the student is learning very quickly. (She's been great in her relatively small but vital role in the cases)
    4) Marilyn Garbanza in the past 3-4 episodes was reduced to a joke for her pregnancy shenanigans. It was great to have her back performing her duties with less awkward gags and more serious matters at hand. Melissa George really is great in her role!
    5) Will, Will, Will... What are we gonna do with you? He's becoming a nightmare for Alicia, her husband and anyone on their side... A worthy--if misguided--adversary, don't you think? That last scene with Will, Peter, and Marilyn was intense.
    6) Speaking of intense, it looks like Alicia had to remind who was wearing the pants in this relationship when dealing with Peter earlier. I hope that doesn't push him to make the wrong call at some point (because I expect him to act in line with this weird power-trip he goes on while in office instead of doing what he actually should do)...I don't know what it was she was expecting him to do in response to these impending allegations, but she's not messing around, not with everything that is happening right now.

SO MUCH HAPPENED. I JUST CAN'T DEAL WITH IT.
If the rest of this season is this good, I may not survive all the tension...

  4. I loved:
    - the Fantastic Four back in the courtroom and forced to (somewhat) cooperate! :)
    - Matan and Geneva grinning while Alicia/Diane/Will/Cary were bickering, hehe - they looked as entertained as I was. :D Somebody should've handed them a tub of popcorn.
    - Kalinda trying to reconnect with Cary (!!!) - imo she needs to break her streak of abusive/manipulative lovers and the closest to 'normal' she's had was her relationship with Cary. I'm so glad that there's finally some real development for both characters this season. :) Friends, frenemies or lovers, Cary and Kalinda have always had excellent chemistry. :)
    - Poor Eli. I hope Peter gives him a hug and tells him it'll all be fine.
    - Alicia telling Peter that she doesn't want Zach testifying in front of the feds and telling him to fix the problem. It was a great parallel to s1 when Peter's hooker wanted to publish a book and Alicia told him to make the problem go away (except this time it won't be as easy). Can I just say how much I adore this development?! He may not be cheating any more, but it's his career that's hurting his family again - because he is still as power-hungry as he was before. It was getting almost annoying to see Alicia/Peter being the "Bill and Hilary on steroids" using/abusing power and influence without consequences. I'm especially holding a grudge against Peter for not giving Diane the judgeship, so it serves him right. Moreover, I've always been Team Gardner, so I'm hoping this latest disappointment with Peter will steer Alicia back towards Will. :D
    - the highlight of the entire episode were the Merylin/Will/Peter scenes, so intense and so, so good. I'm so happy Will brought up Diane's judgeship - he does owe her a lot, she told him about FA at the risk of her own career. Will/Diane as partners are one of my all-time favourite duos! Anyway, it was quite fitting that Will got to put Peter in his place. Will seemed surprised that the video surfaced, though, so my guess is he wasn't the one who leaked it.

My only complaint about this episode is that it put several amazing storylines in motion and I already can't wait to see the rest of the season, so how will I survive the hiatus?! :(

  5. I'm a bit disappointed in Will! He lied twice! I
    don’t think it ends well!

  6. Such an awesome episode. I don't know what to make of Will though. I get where he is coming from especially because what Alicia did to him by betraying him was awful but damn he's going too far.
