Pretty good episode, not as good as the previous 3, but still classic Greendale. All the guest stars were nice, and we even got some familiar face guest stars (Rachel, the janitor who wanted Troy to become a janitor).
I wonder if we'll get a little bit more of Brie Larson now, or she'll just kind of disappear again like last year. Hickey and Annie team up was nice, and I like the confirmation of Hickey as a former cop who got fired and that's how he ended up at Greendale. The Jeff/Chang/Duncan/Shirley storyline was a little meh, but I did like Chang's song at the end.
Wish we could've at least mentioned Troy's absence aside from the quick little blurb on Hickey's TV about how "LeVar Burton and non-celebrity companion captured by pirates in the Gulf of Mexico." Oh Troy. I can just see him crying right now.
Absolutely amazing. It may not be one of those 'classic group driven' episodes, but it is an infinitely re-watchable one. Well done Dan and Crew, well done.
All the Annie and Buzz stuff was gold, seriously his character has fit in so well and I liked their fight against red tape.
The Bear-down dance was hilarious, first Chang crying, then he reveal about the bear birthday party horror and the whole convincing Annie Fat Dog was an actual saying.
Also loved the fake GOT series Bloodlines of Conquest.
Annie and Hickey were alright together, but the plotline and some of the character moments feel almost like a recycled Jeff/Annie plot from the early seasons.
Also, when Jeff isn't around to support her and sometimes rein her in, Annie goes off the deep end- going all out in the chain of deals, and physically attacking a man. She brings out the best in him, and he provides her an anchor and tempers her extremes.
Well it was my least favorite of the season so far, but then again, I thought the last three episodes were some of the best from the series. It was still good though, but a bit disjointed at times. Annie was great though, Allison Brie is having an amazing year. I also liked all the cool cameos we got.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Loved all the guest stars! And LOL at Chang's song. A+.

ReplyDeleteMore Brie Larson would be very welcome.

Alison Brie + Brie Larson... the 2 best kind of Brie's out there.
ReplyDeleteIs Season 4 "the year of the gas leak"? I laugh more and more at that reference
