  1. Another great episode. There have been stronger this season, but still great nonetheless. Had a feeling Merra was the mole, but it was still a surprising reveal. Oh Tom, Tom, Tom, what are you into now, and with who I believe to be Red's daughter? You suspicious bastard.

  2. I was shocked about who the Mole was at the end!!

  3. Great episode!

I loved the revelation with Meera being the mole all along! I was not expecting it. It will be interesting to see what Red will do with her now.

Ugh, I did not like all the Tom and Lizzie fighting in this episode. Tom needs to understand that Lizzie works for the FBI now and can't always be home when he wants her to. They seriously need to have a talk with each other to try to work this out because I am getting sick of it.

Wonder who "Jolene" is and why she is so interested in Tom. I'm intrigued by her.

  4. At least the fighting is more interesting than their usual scenes together.

  5. That is true, my friend.

  6. The Tom and Lizzie plot was the weakest part of the episode but still a enjoyable episode to watch.

  7. I liked the idea of changing DNA and it was a damn good episode! only as a scientist I didnt buy the red blood cell part (since they have no DNA) but who cares!

  8. Not a huge surprise Meera was the mole to me.
She was the first person cleared by that Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODIN), and we know that at least one (Fitch) and possibly two members (Fowler) of that committee are Red's adversaries. Of course they would clear their mole first.

I liked the episode, but as usual, episodes where Red doesn't interact directly with the COTW tend to be weaker episodes.

Sick of Tom, kill him already!
I have thought him to be working for Red's adversaries from the beginning, but if I am honest this willingness to move away from Lizzie does make me wonder a bit. It could just be a ploy to try to get her more on his side, but if he is supposed to be with her keeping tabs on her it seems a bit risky.

Red finding the mole the government couldn't is just so apropos! XD
The man can do anything, including napping a lot and occasional calisthenics! XD

I did not expect Red to kill Meera even before seeing the preview to the next episode. It seems like a chance to turn her and use her as insight into his adversary.

Solid episode that moved things forward.
Could the Alchemists previous work include Red's adversary?
    Lizzie's bio-dad?
    Red's wife and child?

I have a feeling someone will come off the Alchemists list to play an important role as the season ends!

  9. Right!?!
At least Red did say he does not understand it so that his limited understanding and theories do not need to be scientifically possible.

  10. I am so tired of all spouse/ significant others being unable to deal with their loved one working unusual hours that can cause for late nights and broken plans! That schedule (or lack thereof) comes with the job and needs to be accepted or they need to move on! Period.

  11. Totally agree. Seriously, the woman works for the FBI, what did Tom think, that it was a 9-5 job with weekends off? Real life couples deal with odd schedules all the time, if not they spilt up. They normally don't go around all angsty for months on end. Its time to split these 2 up imo, as its becoming a weak link in the show.

  12. I too am not surprised that Meera was mole, but for me it was due to that fact I found her character a little dubious on Alcatraz, as opposed to your well-crafted observations!

I agree that Red is not his best when he is side-lining, but I do find the writing interesting when it done like this, because it makes me think they kept Red away from The Alchemist for a very specific reason. I also liked last episode (very Dexter-esque again like the Stew Maker), because despite that he wan't interacting with Lizzy's 'Good Samaritan', we really got to see another [dark, personal] side him...

I don't hate Tom, but I would like to get to where ever we're going with him. The photograph 'affair' (?) is interesting to me, because of the Gina Zanetakos possibly being once his girlfriend factor (the photographs she had of him)...

This episode reminded me much of a 'down to earth' presentation of "Project Helix" (Alias) and I'm wondering if Tom had some work done? But there's a lot of potential for doubles and/or ruses! XD

  13. Right (and normally I would agree -It's def overly used), but in this case it might be because Tom is trying to put Liz in a certain position. I still think to some degree that Red is right about him and either he is trying to keep her from the truth, or he could be trying to protect her by getting her out of the game, because he knows it will come down to them facing off.

  14. I agree the Photog affair could be interesting!
I think it could lead to a blacklister or two. Hell, maybe even taken a pic of Tom like you suggest...

I'm just over him as a character honestly.
I know he will lead somewhere, but almost every scene with he and Lizzy is redundant and a waste! The low point of every episode since the first few episodes.

  15. Damn, I was really hoping Meera wouldn't be the mole and it would with all the other main people checked out, I dreaded it would be her. I knew that someone we've never seen before wouldn't be the mole.

The Liz and Tom story is getting annoying at this point, I am more interested in Tom's secret life than his and Lizzie's marital issues.

  16. Enjoyable episode.

Tom - I agree with others regarding the husband. Kill Tom, or get to the point with his character's allegiances already, because their marriage troubles are the weakest part about the show. Although, I did find that whole last segment interesting, with the 'carving out time', their cancelled date, him cooking dinner, then going to that art gallery to meet that other girl when Liz didn't show. It seems like Tom may actually have true feelings for Liz, and not just be some "secret agent man" keeping an eye on her.

Meera - I really she doesn't get killed off any time soon. I was hoping the actress would get a regular part on a successful show. I liked her on Alcatraz (still bummed they didn't attempt to wrap up that show, even a little).

  17. "And who here even cares about Ressler's love life?"

Ha! But really I kind of do since depending on what goes down with Tom, he has potential to be Liz's long term love interest. -There's a lot of familiar plots/character ideas here in relation to Alias (even this episode has introduced it's brand of "Project Helix") most likely due to John Eisendrath and J.R. Orci's involvement.
