I don't understand Jennifer why you said that was good. Sarah looked crushed that Jack really wouldn't talk to her. I thought if they were going to kill the show they would've at least left her happy.
Thanks Laura. Exactly what I thought being a hopeless romantic and always looking for the happy ending, especially after all the crap they went through..
The only good thing is I am going to convince myself she told Drew to stick it where the sun don't shine she wanted to be happy because being unhappy is not good for Oliver or her called Jack told him she loves him and asked him to meet her for a drink that's my ending in my head at least they knew this was designed as a limited run series so to end it like this sucks and pissed me off just because they hoped they might get another shot at it
I will buy that. Because of the ratings and I know they were low I don't think we're going to get a second season so like Laura I'm going to let my imagination run the same direction as hers and believe that it was Jack.
You are talking about in the restaurant and I agree, but I think you are going to have to leave it to your imagination as to who you think it was that she bought the wine for and because of the beautiful smile I myself think that the smile was reserved for Jack. I just have to believe that she didn't give up on Jack that easy. You see, Jack never told her that Drew had an agreement with Jack earlier that he stay away from Sarah. That was all done when he tried to ride the charge for his son. I never understood why even at the end Jack didn't say to Sarah that he stayed away because he'd agreed with Drew that's what he'd do. I hope that might make sense to anyone else. That's what I believed anyway.
Well, as to whom I think was in the restaurant.. It depends on when.. You know, if it were like the day after I would say Drew. But if it were like a 3 months later thing, I'd say Jack. You know, those two drinking wine as old friends remembering the good time they had till they realized that what they were doing was wrong but still, they were happy. I'm really gonna miss this show. I didn't think I'd love it this much but you never know.. It's just too bad Americans didn't like it the way I did.
Anyway, I'm on the fence about this episode....especially the ending....why did they have to do that? Leaving it open end for basically a series finale. Sigh. Oh well, In my mind, it's Jack.
Exactly! It was either a slap in the face to us or they know something we don't, but I doubt that. Ratings rule the execs decisions and as much as I love this show our show was very close to the bottom in the ratings. I really don't understand some peoples tastes but then they probably say the same thing about my taste in TV shows. All we can do is hope but we should know for sure in May when the final cuts are made for sure if not sooner.
Unless they do know something we don't. The show is not officially cancel....kinda weird, its taking this long to announce it. On a slight chance, if it does get renewed, I always thought it was better match with ABC summer show the Mistresses. ABC summer shows put around the same numbers.
Betrayal, while had low rating, its consistent with the rating staying around .7 and .8 and not dropping like other shows, even in its last episode against football. So there has to be stable viewers there. DVR rating are health, but we know that doesn't factor much into consideration.
I cant beleive it ends like that. I watch very little tv but never missed this show . Guess Ill be back to getting another hour of sleep on Sunday night.
If I was the writer, I would have had Jack admit in a very early episode that he never drinks wine!! Only Jack Daniels. Sarah ordered a glass of wine for her husband Drew! Period. Let the audience figure it out. Lol
What a load of crap, are people so shallow that they decide to have a child then share the care of him with his father then sleep with some one else. And then say that I'll stand with you while you run for senate because that's what you've always wanted. What a load of crap from both sides. If she wants to be happy then she should have made a complete break, not fart ass around, swanning in and out of the marital home as if nothing has happened. Then after making the excuse that she became lost in what Drew wanted etc, etc then to reverse that and say I'll stand beside you because that's what you've been working towards... omg...she deserves to be shot. Drew needed to be slapped into today early in the piece and told her to f off and stand up for himself. But No. He allows her to swan in and out of his life and Oliver's life and home. She wants to talk about why and how come, after being caught out. Sara your supposed to do that before playing away from home...its to late after that. (I mean she was so distraught at being caught out who does she turn to b8ut good old Jack, there was obviously no remorse for what she had done to Drew or to Oliver. I must sat that Hannah Ware did an exceptional job of portraying a spoilt selfish individual who complained of be lost in a relationship that was smothering and yet she was able to travel with her photography had a career, a studio etc, etc, she had it all. If there was any thing missing from the relationship, her life then it was self inflicted but caused immense pain for a whole lot of others. As for Jack, what a dick, not happy what the f is that. he had everything, good looking wife , children, job etc. He followed his dick and wanted the mystery, the thrill of the illicit affair, just as Sara did, the heat the passion. Pity she didn't die. She didn't after all that file the divorce papers. Lady make your mind up!!! Maybe she's going to end a lesbian with her boss or something. Seemed to be the only person she spoke to about the affair, who wasn't shocked in any way at all. I'm hoping that Drew asks her to leave and not to arrange formal for visitation with Oliver given that it was her actions that have led to the current situation. And that clearly Oliver was furthest from her mind when meeting up with Jack. Will she be happy with Jack (if that's how it goes) I don't think so. Like she said "she's greedy, she wants it all". What a f up society we've become to be such a throw away attitude with everything including our relationships. For Gods sakes Jack your son just tried to kill her. Your wife has left you. Was it, she worth it ?
I am a Canadian and I know because it was done in America the Nielsens are an America rating system so they don't give a hoot what other countries people think, but I always use these forums for my 2 cents. It can't hurt and besides I like to thank the people responsible for a good show. Sure wish there was a way to squeeze a second season, but that's life. It seems as though you need to be between 18 - 49 for your opinion to count.
The ending is so obvious.. The female main character was not yet over with Jack and she still seeks for a hint that Jack want to have second time around with her. It also appears that if she will smile again, it would probably because she and Jack may be together again. Sara's connection with Drew was only limited to him as part of the family with Oliver not really as lover of Sara.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
completely unlikely!!
ReplyDeleteI wish the entire season was as good as this episode

ReplyDeletePowerful episode.
ReplyDeleteMade me realize how beautiful Hanna Ware is.
Didn't realize how much I would miss Betrayal.
I'm just.... happy. Thanks ABC.

I want to believe it was Jack also. Hate that we may never see another Betrayal series.
ReplyDeleteif this was a series finale, it was a huge letdown :(
ReplyDeleteWoah! Fans?!

It would be so nice to get a bit more of this show. It will be interesting to see where they would take it.

ReplyDeletekind of a slap in the face and a big F U to everyone that spent 13 hours watching this since a season two is highly unlikely
