REESE RETURNS TO NEW YORK, BUT A DARING PLAN COULD MAKE HIS FIRST MISSION BACK THE TEAM’S LAST, ON “PERSON OF INTEREST,” TUESDAY, FEB. 4

“Provenance” – Reese rejoins Finch in New York, but when the team receives the number of a highly skilled antiquities thief, a surprising turn of events finds them planning a heist which could land them all in jail, on PERSON OF INTEREST, Tuesday, Feb. 4 (10:01 – 11:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

    I think maybe they keep in secret the guest stars, but if not since Proteus we don't have an episode without reccuring cast.

    Some of these guest cast could become recurring cast too. Like Agent Alain Bouchard sounds possible depending what she's an "agent" of!


    I'm inclined to think given the episode title that @João Paulo is right about the press release being secretive again, as "Providence" seems like something that would thematically relate to US history (common word used in relation to "freedom" and "independance") and/or Vigilance and/or Decima with the whole "playing God" themes...


    I also don't think it hurts have a procedural now and again. It gives us some character growth time without being overly dramatic.

    Most of Sean Hennen's episodes are highly standalone (Risk, Critical, Proteus) so this somewhat makes sense. Jeff Hunt's back which is more than good news for me.

    They'd better make Reese less boring soon! He's gone to Snoozeville since Carter died and I lost two fave characters instead of one. Sounds pretty fun even though I'm not eager to see another procedural episode. The show is too good for that now.

    I don't mind standalone episodes as long as it has some cool flashbacks or moves the overall story forward but not like Reasonable Doubt (the only dent on this season), also the fact that there are Chinese guys, it will either progress Root's story line, Finch's flashbacks of selling the laptop or maybe even aftermath of how Reese survived Ordos bombing, all of them are fine subplots to move the story line forward.

    Critical it's not a standalone episode for me, in that time Carter was investigating Snow and ended up finding Kara, so I think this episode have some serialized elements, but I agree with you about Risk and Proteus.

    Good point! I have to say that Proteus was SO beautifully atmospheric though! Similar to Nolan Bros more psychological works and Alfred Hitchcock.
