  1. Wait wait wait. The ACTUAL Diane Claypool is going to be appearing? Arthur said she was dead...
Also, Collier was shown in the promo. So, Vigilance aren't appearing in this one?
And Taraji finally removed from the regulars :(

  2. Everything sounds awesome, I just hate John not being there.

  3. Don't worry. Reese will return to save the day

  4. No, it's gonna be like you said in your post-The Crossing review: Root to the rescue (see promo)

  5. Wow!! Even the synopsis is enough to get my adrenaline pumping.

@Bradley Adams : RE: The real Diane Claypool's appearance. Maybe they show a flashback to Arthur Claypool's life? Or she never died and is hiding with the hard drives that contain Samaritan?

Catastrophic repercussions for the team - Dammit!! Will someone die? I am certain Arthur Claypool will die. In the latest spoilers posted at Tvline: the EPs said that for John to come back there has to be something big that has to happen to make him come back. I really, really hope he comes back with guns blazing in this episode.

  6. I like see the Harold's past will have a sequel. Can't wait to see this, the episode sounds awesome just with the press release.

  7. Maybe this will get me the über-destructive Root/Reese team up I've been hoping for.

  8. Ya that's an interesting reveal about Diane Claypool!!!!

  9. The Real Diane Claypool + more Finch and Finch's dad flashbacks + Control + the another Villain/antagonist group introduced = CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Woah I never let myself imagine that far! That would be something! XD

  11. What about Collier? They didn't list him in the previous press release (for 3.11) despite his appearance... so I feel that he will show up anyway.
(They did the same thing with Root in 2.15 and Shaw in 2.19)
Therefore - there's still hope Decima will appear! Nolan's words about the episode ("a clusterf—k of villains") suggested that.

  12. Whoa, this is going to be a freaking awesome episode.Happy new year to us! What a way to start 2014!!!

  13. I figure between Root (who doesn't give a damn about collateral damage) and Reese (who in his current state is too hurt to care) there's a giant tornado of death and destruction waiting to happen if they were to agree to work together.

  14. While I do miss John Reese kicking butt and taking names, I really like that the writers are delving into the character aspects. There are emotional fallouts after the death of someone significant -- platonic or romantic -- and kudos to PoI's writers/producers for not letting it go quickly. From what I'm able to piece together -- completely from promos and snippets given in interviews -- John is disillusioned and likely reconsidering a few things. For example, in Lethe he states what he's been doing is irrelevant (a great nod to the Pilot as well as all things Team Machine vs. Control) and in the latest promo he states (in what context I cannot be completely sure) that they are simply delaying the inevitable. Carter stated in The Crossing that when your number is up, it's up. Well, perhaps John is pondering that deeply. Similarly he must be considering Shaw's take on things: if Root and the Machine together know so much more than Finch's 'relationship' with the Machine, why don't they do things Root's way?
Big storylines need to be properly developed and explored. I want John back kicking everything in sight as much as the next, but not at the expense of character exploration. He's not Shaw with her muted emotions and feelings; John relates to people and finds commonality. It's what makes him good at his job as well as why the burdens weigh so heavily. Carter's death has him reevaluating things. I like it. I also think it will lead to some further exploration of his character in the upcoming episodes. This two-parter, Lethe and Aletheia kick off a new mythology for the Machine and the government and shadowy forces; Reese's continued emotional fallout and who he is as a man will likely extend into future episodes that explore the team dynamics. I like all aspects of what this show is bringing to the table: action, emotion, characterization, mytharcs...

  15. Maybe just in Finch's flashbacks?

  16. BTS pix for 4C had stubbled up Reese in it as well. Which makes me wonder if things are gonna carry over & conclude there as well.

Given how Collier is not listed here but was shown in the promo, I have a feeling we'll have more uncredited surprises. Wonder how the real Diane Claypool is gonna factor into all of this...

  17. When Collier didn't appear in the previous press release I thought it was because he didn't have any lines in the episode. We do see him speaking in the promo, so I'm not sure why he isn't listed now.

  18. I have the feeling the Young Finch flashbacks would culminate with his dad's demise which would lead him to go to MIT. Would make a lot of sense.

    ReplyDelete
  19. How many conclusions do they have? I thought the winter part of the season is done already... lol

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think that Rudy (the name Claypool said in Lethe) is the one with the drives. Flashback is most likely.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hard to say. It seems like flashbacks would be the likely case given the climax of what we learned from Arthur at the end of "Lethe", but it would be a crazier twist if she actually wasn't dead and/or she staged her death paralleling Finch!

    ReplyDelete
  22. DEF seems like not curing him of his memory loss leading to his demise makes the perfect story for Finch's past! But it's nice not to have to wait for it and to have this double episode on top of the last three! Really nice treat! :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. No definitely! I just never thought about Reese working side by side with her, because they have been aligning her more with Shaw!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Given Artie's brain tumor, he'd feel the same experience when his father was slipping away too...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Exactly. It's a fantastic parallel and link to the past. I love when writing is THIS good and reflective :D

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah! I think we will def see Collier and Vigilance too! -I'm curious as to whom we're going to be introduced to more over!

    ReplyDelete
  27. It does look like a nice couple of weeks of TV! XD

Let's just hope most of us can keep our power on! This storm is nasty!!

  28. Their press releases have been pretty tricky. I think the promo people aren't on par with the press release people, but I do kind of like that we don't always know whom we might or might not see! I don't watch a lot of shows on CBS, so I don't know if other CBS promos are like this, but POI's have been pretty spoilerish this year!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm hoping maybe they'll cross paths by the end of the episode, unless they plan on Reese having a road trip for a while????

    ReplyDelete
  30. Can't wait for the shows to return, even if some are repeats!

Still snowing by you? It finally stopped after dumping 10 inches, its the wind and cold that is getting to me.Not even going to try going out today, tomorrow the roads will be cleared.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have to agree,i think John will be back in this episode,or by the end.I think too much is going on and too much will be going down for them to keep him on his roundabout..

    ReplyDelete
  32. It stopped snowing, but it's about to get really cold--similar temps to you guys and Chicago! Been shoveling all the drifts made from the winds last night...I'll be happy when this is over :/

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm also glad that they don't always reveal who appears in the episode... Half the time, that's the big twist of the episode. ;) This show has so many recurring villains haha!

    ReplyDelete
  34. what about faking death to protect Samaritan somewhere?

    ReplyDelete
  35. 3.10 was the conclusion of the war with HR, 3.11 was the conclusion of the year, 3.12 is the conclusion of the winter cliffhanger, 3.13 might be conclusion of shocking events in 3.12 etc etc :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. New group? Why? I don't think we're going to be introduced to anybody. Control, Vigilance and Decima make a crowd already.

    ReplyDelete
  37. WARNING - Spoiler TVLINE DECEMBER 19th:

"This week’s Person of Interest was incredible. Do you have any spoilers on where we go next with the Control storyline? –Bradley

Careful now, because where the show is heading next involves much more than Control. Or Vigilance. Because in addition to those two shady organizations, another adversary will surface in Episode 12. As EP Jonah Nolan explains with a wicked laugh, “We like things to be as messy as possible!”

  38. So, four conclusions? lol

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think anything's possible considering they're about to make things more insane! :D

    ReplyDelete
  40. Definitely, a conclusion within a conclusion within a conclusion within a conclusion...

    ReplyDelete
  41. The horns start blaring...

    ReplyDelete
  42. but he didn't say NEW adversary, just adversary ;)

    ReplyDelete
  43. True!!! Could be Decima, Elias, some branch of the CIA I suppose, but that doesn't take away that Diane could be working for any of them :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yup, I've had a theory that Control is both ISA's and Decima's head since season 2 finale ;)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh, NICE! XD
