Speaking with TVLine at CBS’ Television Critics Association winter press tour cocktail party, showrunner Gary Glasberg shared, “I can promise you that [the mystery wife] is probably going to get touched on in Season 12″ — which, yes, has not officially been ordered, but come on.
Introducing that ex promises to be “[storyline] gold,” Glasberg effused. “I have a little tiny space on my Dry Erase board for stories for next season, and that’s already up there.”

Ooh, I want this! They made me really interested in this after Tony brought it up.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Can't wait to find out more about her.
ReplyDeleteI am very much looking forward to this, even though I should know by now that promises of "storyline gold", "amazing episodes", "great writing", "extraordinary endings" (*ahem* Ziva's departure underwhelming episode *ahem*), etc, shouldn't be taken seriously when coming from NCIS's TPTB.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's your opinion. I went in with low expectations when it came to Ziva's departure and was presently surprised, sometimes going in with high expectations leads to disappointment.
ReplyDeleteIf they are discussing Season 12 plotlines does that mean they've been renewed?
ReplyDeleteI agree, but if you had read all the over-hyping interviews from TPTB prior to the airing of the episode you would have probably expected much more.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it was a bad episode, but it ended up being underwhelming because they spent so much time saying how perfect, awesome, amazing, incredible, yadda yadda it would be. That's the reason of my skepticism.
There's been no renewal yet, but come on. This is NCIS. Of course it's getting renewed. LOL.
ReplyDeleteit will be renewed......guarantee CBS top rated show won't be going anywhere......
ReplyDeleteis this the one that gets drunk and repeatedly calls him all day on their anniversary? no ex-wife visiting will be as comical as diane (she "slept" with mcgee, cant get better then that).
ReplyDeleteThey need to do an episode with all three of them! Sort of like "Ex-File". But I am looking forward to this!
ReplyDelete*evillaughter* that sounds like fun. Though I doubt anyone will be as faaaaabulous as Diane, whose stories I always look forward to.
ReplyDeleteOh, oh, this would be a good excuse to cast Allison Janney! *grin* and they could bring her back, since ex wives can get more than one episode...
Wouldn't that be Stephanie (Kathleen York?) since she's the third one (I think?) and Ducky said it was "the last one, of course!"
ReplyDeleteI think they felt the need to hype it because of all the tantrum throwing surrounding the circumstances of Cote's departure. They were trying to satisfy the most ardent Tiva shippers whilst not completely alienating the people who don't ship Tiva or didn't like Ziva, and those who don't care about the shipping and just want to see crimes being solved.
ReplyDeleteahh true.
ReplyDeleteI would actually love to see her return - Kathleen York is fab, and I thought she was great in her one episode.
