I’ve learned that NBC has opted not to proceed with the proposed re-imagining of one of the most successful series in TV history – Murder, She Wrote — which had Oscar winner Octavia Spencer attached to star.
Word is that NBC is not giving up on a Murder, She Wrote reboot. Because the original series was so beloved, I hear the network brass felt they could try approaching it in a different way, possibly with a new concept.

Good news!
ReplyDeleteSomeone on Twitter suggested a new twist on the show - Jessica is secretly behind the murders (a bit like Hannibal) but its not revealed until the season finale and now it is all I want. Like a mostly lighthearted mystery murder show then wham it takes a very dark turn.
ReplyDeleteAnyway probably for the best they are shelving it.
I don't really know the original but the series looks fun. If they continue with the show, I will definitely check it out.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely glad they are not moving forward with this. Now, we just need the same thing to happen to the Charmed remake.
ReplyDeleteHa! I love that we have this strong statement and then it says, "For Now" after! XD
ReplyDeleteGood thing, it would just get cancelled. The original will always be better..
