How I Met Your Mother: Episode 9.15 - Unpause - Review

This was a very funny episode of How I Met Your Mother! To see all the different drunk stages of Barney, was awesome. Then having Marshall doing everything in his power to delay a fight with Lily after they un-pause for as long as possible, including "Banging" her to sleep, just crack me up! Then to see Ted and the mother at the Inn (in 2017)  with the her about to go into labor just before 2am. When we all know NOTHING GOOD happens after 2am.

Being able to find out all the secrets that we always wanted know about Barney finally happened. From what he did to Ted's mom, which we really didn't find out what happen because he said it in sports terms. To the best kept secret of all,  what does Barney do for a living. P.L.E.A.S.E, the answer he always gave every time anyone asked him what his job was... But Ted thought maybe, PLEASE was his job, because Barney couldn't lie this time. Then we found out Barney's biggest play of all time. Setting up the man who stole his girlfriend from back in his hippy days, gaining his trust and turning him over to the FBI. Its just brilliant, the whole time GNB thinks they're letting Barney take the fall for all the legal actions, but really Barney is secretly framing his boss.

In a way I felt sorry for Marshall, but not really. He made a snap judgement call without talking to his wife first, but they did need an answer right away. The things he said during the fight where very un-called for, like saying her job was just a hobby!! When Marshall said that, it was very clear he thinks his job is more important than Lily's career.

I think deep down he has always felt like consolation prize because she didn't make it big in San Francisco, but I don't think that was the case with Lily. She just needed to see if she could try something new other than teach little kids. She never stopped loving Marshall, and in the end, they would have ended up together.

The most memorable scene had to have been when Ted and the mother walked out of the front
door and got into a  mini van, because she was in labor at 2:01 am, to give birth to their son Luke.

I love this episode, we found out a lot of secrets including the children's names. And the fight with Lily and Marshall was a nice, yet a sad contrast to all the comedy to the storyline.

Once again the How I Met Your Mother writers shined.. This episode is one for the records!
