For Season 2 of Hannibal, the recurring role of Mason Verger is being cast. Those of you who have read the novel or seen the 2001 film must be familiar with him.
I want Lee Pace for this role and i believed that it was also Bryan's choice considering some past teasers... Either i got it wrong, or Bryan changed his mind or Lee wasn't available.....
To the best of my knowledge, Verger doesn't appear in Red Dragon and Fuller said they only have the rights on the carachters who first appeared in RD. I'm guessing that situation changed.
Don't know if he was cast for this, but AMP Talent just tweeted and posted to their Facebook page that Scott Hyde has just been cast on Hannibal Season 2. They didn't list the specific role though.
DeLaurentiis Group owns the rights to all the books except Silence of the Lambs, and they're a produce on NBC Hannibal. SotL is owned by MGM. So Fuller has access to all characters except those originating in SotL.

NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I can't wait to see who they cast for this role!

ReplyDeletePace is filming a series already right now, and then he`s doing press for Guardians of The Galaxy (he`s the film main villian).
