I need to catch up on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I didn't like the pilot, but watched repeats when there was nothing else on and liked it. I watched the new episode last week and loved it.
ReplyDeleteI knew Breaking Bad was going to win best actor and Best TV Series.. Surprised that Andy won over Jim parsons and Amy won FINALLY!
ReplyDeleteI wasnt expecting to Jennifer Lawrence to win two years in a row but hey is not the same category!
GRAVITY won best Director, well deserve!
Of course Frozen would win, there's was no competence.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad that Mandela won Best Original Song :)
Matt/Leo yes my predictions!
ReplyDeleteAmy finally! Happy AA took it too.
I like JenLawrence but again eh I felt it was more from like than the work. I thought Adams was better though not much competition in the category besides Roberts.
Brooklyn what?!
Tatiana :( :( :( noooooooooooooooooooooo. Congrats to B 99. A fantastic accomplishment. Happy for all its fans (not one myself, but to each his own :) )
ReplyDeleteYay for Amy Poehler (!!!), Andy Samberg, Bryan Cranston, and Breaking Bad!
ReplyDeleteBoooo at Tatiana not winning :(
Alot of people were robbed on the wins....
ReplyDeleteSandra Bullock deserved it
Jim Parsons of course is the best actor on TV (comedy)
The Big Bang Theory of course is the best TV Comedy
I feel that Hayden Pannetierre or Monica Potter deserved supporting actress.
At least Leonardo Dicaprio won for Best Actor.....
Hope it's not the same wins for the Oscars....
Tatiana or Kerry Washington should have one for best actress in a TV series and Aaron Paul should definitely have won for breaking bad, and if not Aaron Paul, then Josh Charles. However, it was good to see Amy Poehler, Leonardo DiCaprio and Matthew McConaughey win awards.
ReplyDeleteAt last Amy wins!! Sad for Tatiana though. Damn Brooklyn Nine-Nine now that is a surprise, not my number one choice for comedy but I am pleased.
ReplyDeleteSomehow, this years choices didn't quite sucked like other years Jajaja
ReplyDeleteYay for Jennifer Lawrence but I'm so mad that Tatiana didn't win
ReplyDeletePoor Tatiana, I hope she will get more recognition with Season 2 and get the win next year.
ReplyDeleteShocked that samburg beat out jim parsons for best actor in a comedy still cant believe it.
ReplyDeleteBehind the Candelabra is a bit over-rated in my opinion. I mean, lovely film and all, but it had major flaws and there were shows that deserved the best mini-series award more, The White Queen for istance.
ReplyDeleteI am really disappointed Tatiana didn't win the best actress award, she was truly phenomenal in Orphan Black. No disrespect to Robin Wright but Tatiana should have won that.
Brooklyn 99 was a surprise winner to me, I don't watch it as I don't really like Andy Samberg as an actor (he was a bit too over the top in the movies I've seen with him), but I will check it out.
Don't get the love for Brooklyn Nine-nine. One of those comedies that I don't find funny at all. Still, clearly I am in the minority...
ReplyDeleteI don't get it either, but I only watched the first episode. Andy Samberg's Lonely Island stuff is great, but I tend to find him annoying in every other context!!
ReplyDeleteThe award for "Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television" should have been given to Jessica Lange!...
ReplyDeleteI appreciate everyone else's opinions but TBBT is not CLOSE to being the best comedy on TV.
ReplyDeleteMajor yes for all the love to B99 and to Andy Samberg himself. I love Jim Parsons to death but I am happy with the change and I think Andy Samberg has been incredible in B99 so far. Movies wise, major yes for Leonardo Dicaprio and Jennifer Lawrence.
ReplyDeleteYes, you should definetely give B99 a chance again ;) In my opinion, it has a type of humor that grows on you. I hope the awards exposure helps its ratings a bit.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am really happy for B99! Yes, it's sad that Tatiana didn't get it (or Kerry Washington) but I think being nominated is already huge, I can live with that.
ReplyDeleteI love TBBT and Jim Parsons to death but to be honest, I am happier with the way things played out in that category because B99 can be helped out more by this win than TBBT can. I am very happy for Leonardo DiCaprio as well!
ReplyDeleteBeing nominated is already a huge accomplishment, especially considering the low profile network and show in question!
ReplyDeleteCheck out B99, yes, it's very captivating and the humor there really grows on you. I think Andy Samberg is excellent there so I feel this is very well deserved.
ReplyDeleteI admit it's not a type of humor for everyone. I for one love it.
ReplyDeleteWell its the only comedy show and even overall show with a 20million viewers!!
ReplyDeleteNo Soa, no Aha, no Tbbt No Twd No BLACKIST!!! No M.J.Fox....
ReplyDeleteshame....
i'm no happy......
...and I respect that. I could offer up one hundred and one reasons to why it has so many viewers but they'd only serve to patronise you.
ReplyDeleteSo I'll just say this - TBBT is a classic example of quantity over quality. You don't believe me, just have a gander at the box office takings for the TRANSFORMERS movie series.
