Vampire diaries does seem to have a nifty knack of always adjusting.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't get to excited just yet, it was just ONE episode. Besides, people tend to forget that TTP was doing better than reign first.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how crappy the episode is, VD always adjust up, no matter how good a reign episode is, it always adjusts down. VD fans are super loyal, reign's not so much.

ReplyDeleteOooh the TTP fans are getting cocky now, and to think i started feeling bad for them or their show. Besides, its only one time and people forget that TTP actually did better first, reign was the flop. So if a show was to come out on top it was to be TTP. And i don't get why you don't like reign, especially since it isn't your average girly CW show. It has gotten so much darker and bloodier ever since. Today's episode was off the chains.

I'm not even watching TTP, I'm just one of those people saying that theCW should move away from romantic shows as far away as possible and become a genre network.
ReplyDeleteI gave Reign 4 episodes, it sadly did far from deliver and got me more angry than anything.
I don't want either to be cancelled, I'd just take the sci-fi show over a romantic drama.
If it was between the two for one slot in October, I'd wager that the CW go for Reign. TTP have had a few episodes higher in the demo than Reign but they've also had three 0.5s. At the moment, Reign is more likely to survive than TTP.

ReplyDeleteSo they are pretty much neck in neck. I don't think any prediction can be made until we see how TTP does on Monday. If it can hold .6 then the CW will know that it has found an audience that will stick with it. That means they simply won't have enough information to know if Reign can hold its numbers without TVD. Plus both Starcrossed and The 100 could tank. Or one could do really well or both could do really well. It's way too soon to be guessing if Reign or TTP will be around next season.

ReplyDeleteShows do this, make you think one thing is going to happen, gets your hopes up then BAM Mary is engaged to Bash. Welcome to teen dramas everywhere, it happens, but we as Fans of this show, of it's stories and all it's characters need to support it or it will be gone. Forever
Then we'll only have actual history to go by and Francis will be dead, dead because well he actually dies. Your choice.

I'm staring to think that reign fans are the least loyal to their show on the cw. Look at this, SPN (though it had a mediocre episode it adjusted up), VD (crappy episode but still managed to adjust up), TO(still going strong), Arrow (adjusted up), even TTP adjusted up, two tenths. Reign delivers every episode but for some reason, a Tenth of its fans leave before he show is over. Reign fans have let such a good show down, it will be cancelled:(.
ReplyDeletei think Reign has not found it`s audience yet i think it`s a great pair with TVD but TVD fans seems not to like any show that is after their own see TSC and B&TB they got awfull ratings, even TO it`s pilot didnt got too much when it was aired after TVD im not blaming TVD for anything i just see that sad that Reign always loose half the tenths of TVD
ReplyDeleteI honestly think reign would do better on 8pm in front of flash or supernatural than vampire diaries. 8pm is proven to be a strong slot, also reign isn't a girly show so being paired with those will attract more male fans and reign has supernatural elements like supernatural.

ReplyDeleteI get why Reign is struggling, when i watched the first couple of episodes my thought was: How the hell did that happened? The clothes, the butchering of storylines, characters that didn't exist. It was almost too much for me, luckily for me there were several episides available by that moment so i managed to find certain allure.
ReplyDeleteI don't even know why i tuned in again, mostly because the main actress is good and i thought Mash had potential, now i am not so sure anymore.

TVD is doing so good. I am dying from curiosity to see what will happen after 6th season. usually cw shows end naturally due to bad ratings and supernatural actors are okay with continueing but i think the main three from TVD want out or do they? Will the cw try to offer them more money to stay, will they agree? Without TVD or Supernatural CW looks very bleak, they can't afford to let either one go.

ReplyDeleteEveryone seems to think it's Reign vs. The Tomorrow People now (myself included). But let's not forget that there is a possibility that it's Reign AND TTP or neither Reign NOR TTP. It will all depend on how Star-Crossed and The 100 will do. Peronsally, I hope TTP and The 100 will both be renewed in the end, with The 100 having a slight preference so far.
ReplyDeleteBut then gain, it's hard to predict the CW's ratings and decisions. Everybody expected Reign to tank in the ratings, yet it holds up pretty good. The Tomorrow People was thought to be somewhat of a hit, but is not doing any better than Reign. The same could happen to Star-Crossed and The 100, with the former being expected to tank and the latter thought to hold up. And last year, the CW renewed TCD and BatB with low ratings. Let's hope they make the right decisions this year.
I'm guessing you say TTP and the 100 should be renewed because they are more male skewing. Though reign has a female lead i is NOT your typical girly CW show. And i for one would like to see it renewed because reign like VD can be watched by both genders. The CW needs more shows that skew both and so far, those are the only ones. Star crossed is gearing up to be the ultimate girly show.
ReplyDeleteSee, that's the thing, no matter how subpar VD's episodes are, they always increase. Truth is, reign has been much better than VD this season. But it ratings are proving otherwise...sigh. Another great show will be cancelled along with TSC. I'm starting to think there's something fishy about the VD time slot and not just reign's premise that is affecting its ratings. Look at batb and TSC for instance.
