Jules/Laurie/Travis
The gang is not comfortable with Laurie and Travis dating. I
was shocked when Jules accidentally walked in on Laurie and Travis showering
together, which causes them to keep a distance from each other. This scene
reminded me of a scene from “Psycho”. Later on, Jules invites them to come over
but this doesn’t work out as her, Grayson, Ellie, and Tom creep them out. I
realize Jules is trying to look out what’s best for her son but she tends to be
very nosy and she should know that Travis is growing up. At the end of this
plot, Jules accidentally walks in on Laurie and Travis again. However, the
three of them all hug together and Jules is okay with them dating. This means
that Travis and Laurie are still in a relationship.
Grayson/Bobby
After Penny Can becomes a worldwide sensation by earning
$14,000, Grayson lets Bobby know that he expects him to pay back all of the
drinks he purchased at his pub. However, Bobby purchases an expensive tub and
still takes advantage of his pub. I like the comment where Bobby told Grayson
that he lets Jules take whatever she wants but that’s because Grayson is
married to her! Later on, Grayson tries prove a point to him by building a
pyramid of beer cans to show how much he has taken from the pub I’m glad Bobby
admitted that he had a money management issue. It was good to see that Grayson
and Bobby are still friends despite all of the money he owes him. In the end of
this plot, they drink a beer together at his tub.
Stan/Andy/Ellie
Ellie pretends to stab Andy after he let Stan watch “A
Nightmare on Elm Street”. He defends himself by saying he thought he could be
mature enough to handle it. It was hilarious where Ellie used a peanut to close
the window to ignore Tom. Ellie makes Andy fix the problem. Later on, Stan does
not want to go to sleep but Andy convinces him to go to bed because of Freddy
Krueger. Andy doesn’t believe a guy is lurking around the house but Tom comes
with a kitchen knife to the house and unintentionally scares Stan off. It was
entertaining how the scary music was played when it seemed like Tom was going
to act like Freddy Krueger. In reality, he was just bringing back the knife to
the Torres’ house. Andy and Ellie invite Tom to dress up as Freddy Krueger to
prove to Stan that he is not scary. He has conversation with him and Stan
doesn’t look like he’s scared anymore of Freddy anymore. All goes well until
Tom accidentally stabs Andy.
The ending
As a result of Tom accidentally stabbing Andy, his punishment is that he is
isolated from joining the gang in the tub that Bobby purchased. Tom gets even more jealous when Jules pulls a bottle of champagne for Bobby, Ellie, herself, Grayson, and Andy to share.
Overall: This episode is packed with laughter and fun. Normally, it’s awkward to date for
anyone to his or her mom’s best friend. However, I
hope that Travis and Laurie move in together even though it's a slim chance. I hope that Bobby will
eventually pay off the beer that he purchased at Grayson’s tub. Knowing Bobby,
it will take him a long time to pay it all off. It was funny how Ellie called Jules a "movie slut" instead of a "movie buff". After all of those years not watching much movies, Jules finally has a collection of DVDs that she now owns. Although Ellie tends to insults
and tends to control Andy’s life, she loves him very much! Also, she parents
Stan well and wants what’s best for their son. I enjoyed hearing Ellie calling Laurie, "jellybean" again.
