Oh, man, I love your comments! Despite you getting a whole lot of downvotes from people, creating an account for the Cancellation Bear was pure genius! :D
Ok, my heart just stoped... Is this for real? I mean, i was pretty optimistic about Community and Parks but this... Oh, i'm speechless...
This year could be the best of my life: Just getting my first car, travelling to New York in vacations in April, starting studying engineering and now A SIXTH SEASON OF COMMUNITY?!
I'm a full Atheist but... Please, God let this happen!
Not surprising at all with Parks and Rec it is the strongest NBC comedy and I know it gets appalling numbers but much like with Chuck and 30 Rock the continuing decline of NBC means great shows get to live.
Guys, I love Community as much as everyone here but him saying this or doesn't saying anything at all is the same, it is still on the bubble as it has always been. The show has at least 9 episodes left, of course he wants to say there are good chances of coming back to maximize the ratings for those 9 eps. Let's remain hopeful but let's not get carried away with this "statement"!
Hopefully this past 1.1 in the demo was just a one time low, like the 1.0 and 1.1 on Season 4. The show needs to stay at 1.3 for the rest of the Season, i think that's the magic number.
This is the second year that all NBC sitcoms crash... I think they can't have the luxury of going with a full brand new roster and see the same happening again. At least they have a 1.2 on Parks and Community.
Also, is it me or less people are watching tv these days in the States? I remember shows that got 2.7 or 3.0s in their first year were considered in the bubble 'cause of the 25% loss in Season 2.
You can't renew a show that has a first Season with 1.5 cause you need to make revenue with ratings until they reach syndication. If i'm gonna renew something, it's gonna be one that at least i can get money out of deals(Community, Parks and other 5 or more Seasons show).
It all depends of how well the mid-seasons comedies do... I don't think they're gonna reduce their comedy roster.
Glad to see. Hope that it will be a full length season, not one of these 13 episode teaser seasons. Wonder if Donald will come back for season 6, either as a regular or a recurring/guest. Hope that they let Annie and Jeff get together in the finale of season 5, then keep them together in season 6. With Pierce gone, and Troy somewhat gone, will we get some characters promoted to take up the gaps in the Study group? Duncan? Annie Kim? Rachel? Star Burns?
Six seasons and a movie! I've been loving the season so far (except for 5x03, which I didn't like one bit). Cooperative Poligraphy was awesome and I hope to see more awesomeness like that to carry on in the following episodes and into next season ;)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
That's great news!

ReplyDeleteNot if I have anything to say about it!
ReplyDeleteWell yeah obviously. And then a movie.
ReplyDeleteit would be cruel and unusual to give them a season 5 but not a season 6

ReplyDeleteHELL Yes. My two favorite comedies are both most likely getting a last season to finish up. It's been a good day
ReplyDeleteIt gives everyone something to hate when a show gets canceled, and the responses when I appear amuses me.
ReplyDeleteDo I get bonus points if I cancel the movie too?
ReplyDeleteNo, sorry.

Yay! - i love that against all odds they've actually made six seasons and a movie a possibility :)

ReplyDeleteIs this where I step in and say God has absolutely nothing to do with it? :P
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your car and your trip to New York!

ReplyDeleteGotta agree with you man. Cautious optimism is best at this point.
ReplyDeleteThough I remain cautiously optimistic, PLEASE God above let this happen!

ReplyDeleteOMG Cancellation Bear-gangland, you are not funny! A least try goddamnit, make a bear pun or something.

If I was here for your amusement I would take your opinion into consideration. Seeing as I'm not, tough luck.
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE NOT MY SUPERVISOR
ReplyDeleteAre you now a passive-agressive bear? Seriously man, take advantage of the persona!! you are wasting such a great opportunity, it isn't impawsible!
