Chicago P.D Episode 1.01 - Stepping Stone - Review

I was very disappointed with Chicago P.D last night. The first scene had nothing to do with the rest of the story, but I get the reason behind it, they just wanted to show how tough Jason Beghe's character can be with the suspects. The whole show failed to follow one story. It was kind of like "ER" with multiple story-lines going on at the same time, during the same time period. But they failed to reach that concept.
The main story with the Cuban Drug boss, is so played out in Cop shows these days. A long with ending the episode with a kid from the projects, getting beat up from a family member or gang member and wanting to get out of that lifestyle. So predictable.

The acting was no better, it just seem like Jason and Elias characters where the only ones that really knew what they where doing in the scenes. And yes, there was some cross over actors from Chicago Fire but they didn't stay very long. Most of the other actors just had this look on their faces saying "ok boss, what do we do know?''
I had to watch this episode a few times. Mainly because, the first time it couldn't keep my attraction. But how I see new series is that, they just need to find their feet. Once they do, the show can be really great!  I think this show has room to grow, we just need to give it time!

Its actually not bad for a new drama.. Lets hope NBC keeps it at the same time slot so the ratings stay up!
