I’m still feeling the pain from the escalator incident. I can watch someone get shot in the head, objects pierced through bodies, but for some reason when the lady’s head gets stuck on the escalator and her scalp gets ripped off, I couldn’t help but scream in pain too.
Casey is still struggling with his temper. He’s being paranoid and picking fights in public and I’m not sure why Dawson is letting him go that easily. I guess it’s still too soon for overreactions. They’re probably trying to build it up and then blow it up to pieces. At least he’s reaching out to Severide. I wish the writers would give them more screen time together, it would be nice to see them hanging out more.
This week, we learnt that Rafferty used to be a medical resident until her fiancée died from an illness. I know this somehow tells us that she’s straight, but I don’t like labels and hope she’ll become a love interest for Shay. Do you think they’ll work out as a couple?
It turns out that the lawyer who’s trying to reach Shay just wants her to know that all of Daryl’s assets will be transferred to her. She returns to Daryl’s house and we watch her go through the traumatic incident in her mind. Daryl’s creepy brother suddenly appears out of nowhere and scared the crap out of Shay and I. He’s here for the money and we all know it. The question is, will he return after Shay changed her mind?
There are also some really enjoyable scenes that should be mentioned. It’s nice to see Chief Boden finally move on with his personal life. He meets a woman during a fire call and that woman happens to be Scott’s mother from Teen Wolf. I love her in that show and I hope I would love her in this too. Things with Chief Boden and Mills seem to be peachy, with Mills trying to help the Chief out by giving him advice about the dating game. I hope they stay this way and develop some kind of father-son bond. Also, Chief Boden should smile more, he has a beautiful smile.
Speaking of Mills, I liked seeing him get pranked by the guys. Maybe it’s because I don’t really like his character that much. OK, it's not that I don't like him, I just feel like he doesn't stand out. Is it just me?
Otis and Katie are so cute together. I have no other words to describe it any further. That’s all you have to know.
Shay decided to use the money from Daryl’s assets to save Molly’s from closing down. It’s predictable yet nice to see that Hermann, Otis and Dawson really appreciate it. The episode ends with a massive 51 group hug. My happy feels lasted for a second before the showing of next week's promo.
The promo looks really intense, for those who haven’t seen it, please do. For now, let me know what you guys think about the episode!
