Happy New Year Beasties! It’s so good to be back making posts about my favorite show here on Spoiler TV. I missed you. Did you miss me?
We have one week to go until Beauty and the Beast comes roaring back on to our screens, Monday, January 13, 2014 at 9 PM/8 PM Central on The CW.
I know the hiatus was an unusually brutal one due to a press release about the mid-season scheduling which seems to leave BATB on an indefinite hiatus after March but I’ve been hearing good things about the rest of the season which should be occurring right around episode 13 or 14 and episode 10 sounds incredibly interesting.
Hmm, at this point you might be asking yourself why am I not towing the reviewer line and gushing about how Beasties will love episode 2x09 like everyone on Twitter and the other TV sites have been reporting. That’s because I’m a real fan, I don’t get paid to write about the show, these reviews are an endeavor of pure passion and genuine love for the show. I know what the majority of Beasties want and that’s VinCat. The writers have really handed us some lemons on that front but I decided to focus on the good of this episode and thus will be making the metaphorical lemonade for this teaser article.

Synopsis: CAT AND VINCENT’S RELATIONSHIP IS IN DIRE CONDITION — In order to prevent Vincent (Jay Ryan) from further injuries, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) helps protect Tori (guest star Amber Skye Noyes) when her life is threatened, revealing a new, unexpected mystery. Meanwhile, Vincent's stubborn attempt to intervene leads to life-changing consequences, which causes Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and Cat to grow closer
Initial Grade: D-
Final Grade: C+ (after live tweeting when the episode airs this might change, sometimes other Beasties point out things that I’ve missed and it allows for me to look at an episode with a fresh pair of eyes).
Reason: OK, for like the first time ever, the press release was DEAD on. That’s a bad sign when the powers that be feel the need to give it all away in a press release. They even put the emphasis on Cat and Gabe growing closer, which if they were even the tiniest bit self-aware of the fans reception of this idea, they would have cut that part because honestly, in this episode it was pretty much more of the same with Gabe just hanging out hoping Cat will finally notice him. It took me about 3 viewings to be able to become objective as oppose to subjective.
It was hard for me to swallow but they did give me something that I have been begging for, whether or not they mess that up is yet to be seen. This is a transition episode. It’s literally the setup for the rest of the season. While an intriguing premise presents itself toward the end, the rest of it was painful for me to watch.
There are good things about this episode but they are far and few between and the bad stuff in my opinion far outweighs them. But I have a feeling that the writers needed for the characters to hit rock bottom in order to build them up where they need to be to give us a new and improved VinCat that will last for the ages. All I can really say is keep the faith and trust Sherri and Jenny.
We Beasties need to stay positive and stick together,so I will say sorry that I didn't have more happier news to report. I just wanted you to be prepared.
The Good
1. We get some JT backstory and it’s a dozy and actually answers a burning question I think most of us have had since the show started. Seriously, it’s a jaw dropper, my mouth fell open.
2. It seems that JT and Vincent will indeed be spending some quality time together for this next half of the season.
3. We are getting a very cool mystery to unravel courtesy of the late Mr. Windsor.
4. The JTnT ship has wind for its sails, I think we’re leaving the harbor finally.
5. Gabe is still the same Gabe he’s been since the start of season 2.
6. We get to see one last glimpse of Agent Reynolds.
7. This episode is a GAME CHANGER! - The ending is truly amazing and something you might have never thought we’d see, or at least until the end of the series. Honestly, this is how I would have wanted the series to end. Intense!
The Bad
1. Yes, Tori is still there, but this episode literally picks up right where r the mid-season finale ended. I happen to like Tori in this episode but I know how a lot Beasties feel about her.
2. There’s another faction out there that knows about Beasts.
3. There was a false alarm about something that would have put me over the moon, in regards to Cat and her job. If you listen to the podcast, you can probably guess what that is.
The Ugly
1. It looks very dire for VinCat. I honestly don’t know where the writers are going to go from here. I still trust the writers and have faith but man, I’m depressed.
2. The thing I thought I wanted most for Cat at this point in the show happens but it is terribly executed and left a sour taste in mouth.

the ugly: 1) i thought they would sink even lower, i am hopeful it will get better after 10. I am curious to see how it will play it out but I am prepared to get a bit depressed about the state of their relationship

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to be done with the beast stuff altogether. There will never be a bad guy that I enjoy as much as Agent Reynolds on BATB, I'm pretty sure, so if he isn't the one calling the shots on the bad guy front, I'll pass. They also act as plot device for the sake of a plot device which is something that irks the hell out of me.
I feel that Tori is there for a very good reason. She's much more tolerable in this episode than the last.
The episode felt rushed, not as in good pacing but messy and rushed, They gloss over Cat's state of mind and don't let us really understand her head space. We're just suppose to accept what they tell us and it just feels all wrong to me.

Not surprised to hear another faction knows about Beasts ~ the preview trailer having hinted as much and the show obviously needs another Big Bad with Muirfield and Bob out of the picture. Curious if your dire rating has to do with poor plot execution or even more depressing angst for VinCat ~ really hoping it's the first.
ReplyDeleteAs much as it sounds like I will hate what I'm about to see I will watch it because I love the show in general!! I will watch with my fingers crossed that that is our lowest point and that it can only get better from there.
ReplyDeleteNo matter what I am super excited to see what intense situations happen in this half of season 2. I don't mind tori neither even tho I do not like her cuz of how she knew about vincats relationship and kissed him anyways...and upset that Vincent kissed back....anyways, my attention is drawn towards JTess now I am excited to see how that turns out. They are super cute together...I want to see what happens to agent Reynolds for what he has done to cause this whole mess....no matter what happens in this show I will not be pushed away and I think the writers have done an awesome job so far on making this show even more suspenseful than it was in season 1....--- from a Virginia Beastie!!!!

episodes ago and to my eyes is beyond repair. Whatever they will do to put them together will look
laughable. Sorry Lilith but these new "downgraded" VinCat will last like two cats in the middle of the Highway . I won't miss them. I'm pleased to read Ted Whittal is coming back to Batb even if he doesn't know why . From a 5 years to a "day-by-day" plan. A joke.
Thanks for taking time out to give some actual warnings. Others were just confusing me. But I get it now. This does sound like a very interesting episode to a critical reviewer. But as a VinCat shipper, if they aren't being treated properly, I don't care two hoots even if BatB is the best show on TV.

ReplyDeleteThanks Lilith for your usual honesty and objectivity. It doesn't sound too promising yet but I think we all knew that. Hopefully after this episode we will start to see a turnaround and see where VinCat can actually "fall in love again" and I am really intrigued as to how the mythology piece will fit in. I am not worried about Tori or Gabe as I see that they are both a means to an end and the Tori character seems to be on the way out as she will have soon served her purpose. AS for Gabe, I do not think Cat will be able to even think about anyone else right now as she is just too emotionally distraught. Maybe if we had much more time a relationship possibly could develop but we do all remember why they are in this mess in the first place as I am sure Cat does. She does need a shoulder to cry on though!
ReplyDeleteI had a thought as to how to help our ratings, which is not the best but at this point the committed Beasties seem to want to do anything to save our show! I just thought that part of our success depends on the success of the new shows that are being premiered in the next few months. I would think if the ratings for either one of those shows or even The Tomorrow People or Reign were to go down, then that would help our chances. I guess if NO ONE watched those shows, then it might make our ratings look better. Just a thought from a desperate to have a new season fan! I just want to get through this season to the promise of their EPIC LOVE together after t his season.
If a show creates that kind of vivid emotions, it can not be that bad. ;o) Would be worse if it left people being lukewarm about it.

Now I understand why that repulsive article on She Knows was released. The producers know that this episode is end game for the few remaining fans they still have. As much as people can argue with the stupid "true beastie" speech, this show is over!
There might be some few people that will still be trying to fight for it, but the majority of people that still watch the show isn't the fans that keep screaming on social media. If I, that am a passionate fan won't watch the show anymore because I refuse to be even more disrespected, imagine the rest of the world. They'll simply change to the next good show and forget about BatB.
Congratulations, Mr. Kern, you really killed the show! Bye!
So well spoken...I still hold out a little hope that Kern will get the message...but 9 brutal episodes that completely destroyed the epic, fairy tale love affair that everyone went to the show to see is way too many....I can't believe Jennifer Levin and Sherri Cooper would let this happen to the beautiful story they gave us last year.
ReplyDeleteI have thought about your theory--about the new shows. I would like to point out that "The 100" is basically a lame version of "The Hunger Games." Totally not worth my time. As for "Starcrossed," it's a romance between a human and an alien. Sorry, but that show also looks lame and will not receive my support. I hate "Reign" already :) but I love "Tomorrow People."
ReplyDeletein regards to the upcoming BATB episode, I am super excited for it! I know each show has their ups and downs and I have prepared myself for this episode (and perhaps the next few) to be the season's downs. However, I have faith in the writers that VinCat will pull through! :) To stipulate further, each series has a sucky season. I'm banking on the hope that BATB will gain a third season. Hopefully the writers will learn from their mistakes and make S3 (as well as the rest of the unwritten S2) much better!!! :)

ReplyDelete. I loved this show in S1, the VinCat romance. This season each episode has been harder to watch than the previous one. Why the need to destroy the love story so many of us had fallen in love in S1 ?? How much can we take? I had hopes for an improvement in this new episode, now I know it won't happen. What has happened to this show? . It was supposed to be a romance show, VinCat romance. VinCat together against the world.. Big mistake Kern . Ratings are down, unless u listen to the fans numbers won't improve. I am deeply sad for what has been made to this show, :(

I feel down now... I was expecting this episode to be the one when we finally get back our sweet Vincent, the show is ending on March and we're still having to wait for him, that's not fair.

My problem, Dear Denise, is that my favorite show was destroyed and I have to see lunatics like you and Dear Samantha posting ridiculous replies saying that beasties have to stick together when the show sucks. I have to give you credit, though, because you actually bothered to write something instead of copying the same old reply. My problem is that the show is going down because people like you and Dear Samantha don't have the guts to tell Kern that he sucks and harass fans to stick with a show that sucks. Don't worry, Dear Denise, your suffering will end soon in the end of the season.

Thank you for you thoughts. As I said it was a thought and it still all boils down to personal preference and the right to watch whatever you want! And actually I think a lot of people have tremendous respect for our fandom. We are passionate, dedicated and know what we like. That was pretty evident in the episode polls and there were many comments about how people admire our commitment to this show, whether we are liking the season or not.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up. Right now i'll just hold on tight to your #7. I love this show but Vincat has been separated for too long now. I just want them together and solve all the problem that come to them together. Saying that, i'll still wait till the end to see how everything unfold coz the end game is surely Vincat, after all it is called Beauty and the Beast. Just that it has been exhausting to be surrounded by all the abusive negativities. Everyone of course has the right to love or hate this series but a lot out there are just mean! So this year i'll steer away from speculations and spoilers (i'll try very hard) with the exception, your column. Coz you always write it like it is; without any mean or degrading comments. And i really thank you for that.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone, but I tried to say it for myself only, I know the show changed a lot at least first 8 episodes they tried to reinvent the show withing the show having two show runners in the first seasons IMO is not a good sign for consistency....but I wont lose my hopes not yet!!!!!

ReplyDeleteI'm a fan who lives in Italy. I have to admit so far I've seen just season 1, on an italian channel, but the title of the article brought me in.
I see there are many fans who are disappointed by the problems Vincent and Cat are having(from what I read). Hopefully, they will solve some of them soon. Anyway, I also see the rating of the show is being really low =/ it's the Cw series with the lowest rating average after Nikita and maybe it's even with The Carrie Diaries.
Unfortunately it looks like this season could be the last, and if that will be the case, I hope Pedowitz warns the writers soon, so they will have the time to write a series finale (for the loyal american and non american fans).
I am truly, deeply saddened by some of these comments. I will keep my faith in VinCat, I love this show more than words can say...that is all. #beastie4life
ReplyDeleteHaving read all the comments, I will say only this: This show does not wrap up in one hour, but goes from week to week. SO..try to appreciate the short term challenges, and follow the "long story". Give the story a chance. I say this alot about TV shows, because a knee-jerk reaction to what we see is often incorrect. I suppose I'll have more to say about it at the end of the season, but for now, I'm just going to enjoy the ride. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have absolutely no worries going forward with the storyline. I am a true fan and will support the show as long as it stays on the air. I love the actors, especially Jay Ryan and Kristen Kreuk. They are great people on and off the show and have been cast spot on as Beauty and Beast. The writers have been more than creative with the story. We will see ups and downs in the VinCat relationship and they will begin coming back together as the season continues, that is if we support and trust the writers. This is one of those fictional shows where fans become overly invested and that alone shows what a brilliant show this is. For those upset with Vincent's short temper and cheating with a beautiful red head I ask you to think about the story being told to you. Vincent who was a kind human beast was taken against his will and reprogrammed making him more of a killing beast and less human, or you could say given a robot brain to kill on command. Murfield took his human soul and replaced it with no soul and Vincent was basically used and abused and through no fault of his own. But the good news is part of Vincent still has a connection to Cat and one he can't delete or replace or understand even with the red head around. The next few episodes will set up the story where VinCat will slowly find each other again through working together and being placed at the same place and same time.
ReplyDeleteI love the suspense, drama and action of the new season and KK is great at those martial arts on and off screen. I believe JR does many of the stunts himself and they work long and hard hours along with all the cast and crew to bring us this action filled amazing drama.
Lastly, I find it hard to believe if some of the fans posting here are done with the show why you are still visiting the reviews or being just plain negative about the show. If you are not happy with the direction of the show just turn over the channel and watch the Hallmark channel. Some of us are die hard fans who love the show and regardless what your negative comment, or opinion is we will support the show to the end. Your negative comments will have zero impact of the die hard fans.

ReplyDeleteAfter the ending of episode 8 of course things will be difficult between VinCat. I will always keep an open mind and cannot wait to see episode 9.
I love #BatB, it has huge potential and can go very far!!! Personally I am thoroughly enjoying S2.
No matter what happens my love for the #BatB is unconditional. I know VinCat will be together. They just have to overcome all thses challenges first. I have faith in the show and writers. Beastie4life!!!! #BatB always and forever.
I agree Tori is definitely more bearable. I really will miss Agent Reynolds; I wish he had played a bigger part. Now, I wonder how this will go. I wasn't happy with how it ended because back and forth with Cat & Vincent all season. I understand that this is normal for their to be doubts but so I am so depressed. I am sure like you said it's so their relationship will be stronger, makes sense.

TPTB know that this episode is the end game for the audience, that's why they published that f** up article to try and play with people's feelings by daring them not to be "shallow" and continue to endure their distorted vision of "epic love". Or "epic failure", it depends on POV.
It's kinda funny to read the comments here, though. You can clearly see the desperation of the "true beasties". With an emminent episode that'll kill any possibility of keeping the fanbase together, some people are going overboard. My favorite is people asking beasties to boicot the new shows in order to make them fail in ratings so BatB won't look so bad.
Maybe THAT was the real intention of this new season. Reveal the beast inside some people.

That's just one more example of "true beasties" jumping the audience's jugular instead of calling the real responsible for the show's failure on it, the show runners.

ReplyDeleteWow, jumping to jugulars like Vincent ? Cool. I think the show runners already know the show has been dumped because THEY failed. I don't think they care about the fans reaction or sensibility , not for one second, but I do believe they care about the people working on BATB who lost their job because THEY failed. Season 2 has been disappointing , chaotic and depressing but I'm not sure the awful ratings are mainly connected to the new direction : brutally honest the audience didn't tune in to watch one single episode of the new season. Not even the first one.
ReplyDeleteAnd that happened because the brilliant RP's strategy for the new season of theirs was to announce Tori's character as soon as S1 ended, literally implying that Vincent would again turn his back on Cat for the 1st woman that entered his life while the audience was still weary of the whole 2nd choice issue that never was properly addressed.
ReplyDeleteWhen Tori was announced, they put the 1st nail on BatB's coffin and all the other things no one wanted to see on the show they added later only finished the job.
I know that for a fact because I participate of a forum that lost half its members when the news about Tori came out. No matter how much we argued with the other members, they were just too disappointed with this writing decision.
I was foolish enough to trust the writers to respect their audience and now I have a sour taste in my mouth.
So the fault for the show not having enough audience from ep 1 again falls on the show runners, not on the fans.

ReplyDeleteDear OrchidSky, what I don’t understand is why people who clearly have come hate the show go on posting on various TVsites under different user names, cynically insulting other fans who still like the show (or at least parts of it) and want to support it. I’d recommend you to relax, it’s just a TV show, not worth to get yourself an ulcer. If you despise it that much, why not simply stop watching instead trying to ruin other fan’s joy.

Great mind think alike. Indignant minds, too. As well as simplistic minds. I don't see anyone accusing anyone of using two different names when they're repeating Kern's speech to justify the mess they made.

ReplyDeleteYes you are correct but what can I do, or anyone do at this stage other than support the show and try and understand the story, knowing the Vin Cat relationship will be fixed... if that is the only thing that people are complaining about, because that what it seems to me. The show itself outside of the relationship is brilliant with the story, special effects and actors. Its a modern version for goodness sake. It is what it is and the writers cant make a change now as that was written months ago. Those that complain are not helping one way or other coming on being immature, insulting people and dissing the show.
ReplyDeleteIf no longer invested in the story and show then move on to a show that will give the fix. There are so many shows out there, surly people can find a show to suit their taste. Its just sad to me that the show will end because people are being so immature and invested because of the romance and the VinCat relationship, which we know will get fixed and that is all they can see.
It's my point of view. Of course I don't understand how a production is made but I can understand if two actors have chemistry or don't. In season 1 the chemistry was eye-popping . In season 2 is not there and I refuse to believe they have been told to shut the chemistry down, which was the best asset this show had, and act like an old married couple who's relationship has sunk into sort of affection without any sexual tension . Because this is what I've seen . Not sure who's fault but something is off . I'm not pretending fireworks but I'm preteding to sense the strong, identifiable attraction to each other . Sorry I don't see it - I don't feel it. They lost that special "something" that made them charming and different from other fictional couple. The magic is gone and not only the magic.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe people want to see Vincat hopping in and out of bed . I do believe people won't see Vincat hopping in and out of bed of any Mr. X and Mrs. Y crossing their path declining an adult-type relationship to a cheap soap-opera . I fear Episode 9 will be the end-game for a lot of viewers . Jay Ryan is a good actor but I'm not sold on him as Vincent 2.0 . I don't know , it’s like he is trying so hard to look cold and dangerous and can't tone down the killer look. His facial expression is always the same in every moment.

ReplyDeleteDo you actually think what I say or what other die hard Beasty fans say here will change the minds of anyone who is disgruntled with the show? If they are gone, they are gone and you or I or anyone else is not going to change their minds. If anything I am trying to keep them interested in the show because it seems the only thought in their head is to talk about this epic love or epic failure love or between VinCat. We all know they are going to eventually get back together but hang in there to the end to see it happen.
ReplyDeleteIts too bad the show has to end because fans have lost interest due to the "epic love failure" and then some blaming KK and JR for the lack of chemistry... Its like are they a little clueless or what because Vincent is not supposed to remember Cat... so how can he have or act on the same chemistry.. It just wouldn't make sense to the story being told.

You write that you felt like you really needed to prepare your Beasties in advance? really? I honestly dont think you are helping the fans, or the show by giving some of your prep info. Maybe best not to give the prep news but give some positive news for episodes to come. I have watched interviews with JR and KK , Sherry and Jenny sharing information on season two and I have no doubt as to what is going to happen. We will of course see this so called "epic love" return to its full glory between VinCat. To have a season two the writers had to write a creative story, otherwise we would not have a season two. I honestly think the show would have lost a lot more fans if the story was all about VinCat and this "epic love"... I am so sick of reading about this stupid epic love and the stupid epic fairy tale. There is more to this updated version of Beauty and the Beast than this fairy tale epic love...Let people watch the story and come to their own conclusion. Maybe share just positive news and I really do not mean any offense by that but I honestly think you are not doing the show a favor or the ratings by sending out this information before the episode even airs.
Jassy, Your sweet Vincent will return. Have you watched any of the JR and KK interviews about season two? If you do you will read between the lines and know it will happen. KK have said at interviews that on season two we will see VinCat have situations come between them and their relationship will be challenged. She said they would have to earn back each others trust and love. So keep watching and tuning in to the episodes. Its not going to happen in just one episode and I believe the special effects, drama, action and suspense is going to be just wonderful to watch. Spoilers give us some little bits here and there and more about who is going to be doing guest appearance or minor bits and pieces but no one really knows what will happen. I prefer to listen to the actor, writer interviews and read between the lines as best I can. I doubt I am correct all the time but I am usually very, very close:-)
ReplyDeleteI agree, I feel Lilith opinions are not necessary at this time when ratings are low and especially before the episode airs. I am unhappy with all these negative opinions especially when we know the show is the modern version of the story and without doubt the epic fairy tale that everyone is so invested in will return. Its the modern version and to have a modern version one has to change things up a little. Personally I think Kern have done an amazing job with the story and I wish more fans would come on here and say that.

Its not for everyone and can understand their disappointment but I hate saying it but I do think it is for shallow reasons. I have replied to many here as I want to keep the support going and get people to continue watching and please ignore the negative information about the show.
Thanks for your insight into this upcoming episode and the hearts of the beasties. Hopefully, we have been warned and now realize that this is not the old season one. As much as we might not like it, we need to all put on our big girl panties (or big boy boxers), take a deep breath and go with the flow. This cast and crew are so talented that they can make us feel and believe what they want. The new scenes in New York have been filmed in such a way that the audience feels they are actually in the city. We can feel the traffic and the hustle and bustle. The scenes are now three dimensional, not flat. There is definitely more action, more exceptionally fine scenes where Cat really showing her ability to "save" herself and others in dire situations. She shows a devotion to Vincent even when she feels she has lost him emotionally . She has never given up on their relationship. Every time there has been a break up, Cat continues to care and protect Vincent. No matter how dangerous he feels their relationship is, he is drawn to her, and cannot stay away (thank God). Tess and JT have a more intimate relationship with the script, and we have been given the hope maybe with each other. Then there is Gabe. His character has taken a 360 degree turn. His edges have been smoothed and his softer side is showing. These characters are real--with real feelings of loss, frustration, anger,fear, and joy (not too much joy right now but the potential is there). They have become vulnerable to each other. These characters have been changed right down to the way they are dressing. In my opinion the biggest change is in Tess. She has become more feminine without losing her biting sense of humor and her independence. Her complexion is brighter, her clothes more colorful. Her hair style has even changed to become softer. My intention is not to evaluate the show but to show that season two has brought some very needed changes to reveal that the characters and story are both growing and developing. Without character development, there is no story growth. As much as we all loved season one, it can't just repeat over and over again. This show, if given good promotion and a good time slot, will be a killer series. Beasties are faithful and passionate. We must have faith in the characters, writers, camera people, costume designer, and directors to continue to create these stories and characters that we have fallen in love with. We need to recognize how Beauty and the Beast is becoming a better show that will hopefully appeal to a broader audience. Cat said it and I believe it, they belong together, now they just have to find their way back.
ReplyDeleteAll though, I totally agree with a lot that you said, you shouldn't shoot the messenger, for what it's worth you couldn't find a better supporter of this show we love, as much as Lilith for me I'm glad she prepared us for what's ahead, with eyes wide open, I'm looking forward to what's ahead for as long as we have this terrific show!!!

I happen to know what most of the Beasties that read my reviews for BATB like and these were the most asked questions that I recieved on Twitter so I answered them. If you ever have read one of my reviews, I actually don't mention a lot about VinCat because yes there is more to the show than that.

Well the information from interviews with JR,KK, Sherry and Jenny have all been more than positive about the return of the so called "epic love" or "epic fairy tale" Of course the next few episodes will have some sad moments for VinCat, after all Vincent did almost kill her In the car wreck, almost killed her father, made out with a beautiful red head and Cat shot him almost killing him. I mean seriously! What should everyone expect on the next episode? Do people honestly think Vincent or Cat will say" I am very sorry, it will never happen again because we are destined to be together"I doubt that would happen for a least 2 or 3 more weeks. I would suggest that the fans watch the next episode and look for a story that will lead back to the epic love fairy tale. Just don't understand why there is so much speculation as to what the next few episodes will bring. No wonder the show is being cancelled if fans are giving up on the show before it even airs because of all pre warnings.. Yea, I saw yesterday on TV by numbers website that the Bear said it is a definite cancellation. I would think they will air all the shows, whenever that will be but hopefully Netflix will buy it so they can rent it.

Odd decision.
Desperation is among people who don't want to follow the story in front of them and that can not be changed. Its ok not to like it and understand the disappointment but the show has to go on and too late to change. So because of that I would suggest to those who are annoyed or unhappy with the direction of the storyline to move on or stop watching until the end of this season. Then they will see the VinCat relationship back in one piece. I just don't understand why people are so shallow.. Sorry but i said it. I believe some are shallow and all they think about is "epic love" "epic love" epic failure" epic falure" Load of BS and grow up and live a little for goodness sake. If that is all people think about in life, its a modern version of the story and the producers said that from the beginning.. What do people want to see? The directors and producers call the shots. They're the ones that give the actors directions and tell they what they're expected to show. I understand what you mean about not feeling the connection and love between VinCat, but that was the ones-behind-the-scene's decisions, not the actors' decisions.

ReplyDeleteleading actors are not delivering what they are supposed to (an did in S1) , and I'm not talking about miningless hot stuff. I'm talking about emotional bonding and mere attraction. I don't get it . They are not in it. Never. Something is really off and not because of poor writing if you know what I mean. Beauty and the Beast is a love story. You can add drama , ups and down , action , conflicts or whatever you want but the best lines are useless if the "meant to be" are not believable in what they are doing or looked pissed and annoyed when they are together and it has nothing to do with Mr. Kern or the writers.
Lilith, you said some time ago that the network's president visited BatB's set. Do you think he went there to tell them the show will be cancelled personally?
