It was kind of difficult for me to choose one. I wound up picking the break in... I jus threw a dart at the target and landed on that one. But tops on my list were Blood visiting his mother, Roy breaking down in the hospital, Roy beating up the serial rapist. It was brutal, unexpected, and a couple of others.
That was supposed to be the Deathstroke mask...I didn't recognize it by design. it just didn't trigger the comic book connection for me like the one on the island did.
Thanks. I fixed it. I only had an hour to watch and write down both scenes and quotes before the podcast so I was moving a lot quicker than usual. Thea was definitely willing.
I'm sorry for Arrow and Slade but my favorite scenes are all the ones about Roy story: Roy with Sin, with the serial killer, with Thea - when he breaks down- and of course with Oliver. I choose the scene with Oliver offering to train Roy because I was nicely surprised by his reaction and also because that's the scene I was waiting for during all the episode.
Roy and Sin was the best character interaction in the episode. I kind of hope Roy, Sin, and Thea all go to the Flash spin-off. Roy's metahuman state better fits that show anyway and then finally this trio would be able to get ample screen time and become better fleshed out.
My favorite thing about Sin was her repeatedly telling Roy to talk to his freaking girlfriend. :-)
Better Speedy get his own show (what is that character called in this century? I'm blanking) If they got to Flash they're in the same boat they are here; secondary support characters.
I know it's wrong of me but every time Sin is on screen I'm distracted by how 'clean' she is for a "street kid". :-D
All the brother blood scenes and Slade,Laurel and Quentin scene in the interrogation room was fabulous and the Sara talking to Ivo on the walkie talkie was really great
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Oliver agrees to train Roy. It is the only thing that happened in the episode with potential to go anywhere.
ReplyDeleteI think you meant "unwittingly" not "unwillingly"

I went for Roy breaking down, because the "agree to train" part was more a promise of something great than that great in itself.
ReplyDeleteFelicity saying: come home to Oliver

ReplyDeleteFor me it was Oliver offering to train Roy, i've been waiting for that. But hell yeah!! Deathstroke scene right behind it!!

Ha! Yes it's wrong but so am I. I can't help but thinking about her character in The Killing.:-)
ReplyDeleteGood idea actually! Barry and Roy are so different, that would be interesting.
