Arrow 2.10 "Blast Radius" Preview: Arrow Returns From Hiatus with a Bang!
15 Jan 2014
Arrow ReviewsArrow returns from hiatus with “Blast Radius” and delivers an episode worth waiting for. The action picks up five weeks after the events of “Three Ghosts”. The episode is written by Jake Coburn and Keto Shimizu and directed by Rob Hardy. This was the first episode of Arrow for Hardy who has also directed such action oriented shows as The Vampire Diaries, Castle, and Criminal Minds. There is plenty of the action we’ve come to expect from an episode, including a terrific chase sequence and an explosive climax.
Oliver (Stephen Amell) is concerned about both of the young men who have recently come into his life: Roy (Colton Haynes) and Barry (Grant Gustin). Barry is still in a coma, and Roy is dealing with the effects of the Mirakuru. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) has been keeping tabs on Barry in Central City.Oliver has started wearing the present Barry left for him.
Both Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and Oliver are getting closer to Blood (Kevin Alejandro) who has started his bid for mayor. Laurel is walking a dangerous path and makes a shocking discovery by the end of the episode.
The Hood reaches out to Detective Lance for a favor and Lance requests one in return. The episode also naturally features a flashback to a continuation of the action on the Island too. Sean Maher (Firefly, The Playboy Club) guests in the present as this week’s target who provides some pretty spectacular pyrotechnics.
