Agents of SHIELD - Episode 1.15 - Lorelei to Appear

Jan 24, 2014

As previously announced, Thor's Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) will pop up in an upcoming episode of S.H.I.E.L.D. and now we finally know why! "She's here to hunt down another Marvel character," executive producer Jeph Loeb said of Marvel villain Lorelei (Elena Satine, who played Mera on Smallville). "Lorelei is from Asgard. She's a beautiful redhead who has the ability to sway men's minds. She has this in her own unique way of speaking."

  1. And the sister of the Enchantress (who I hope turns up in the next Thor film)

  2. Sounds awesome.
Don't know who enchantress or Lorelei are but with power to sway men so many potentially hilarious scenes can happen between Lorelei and Coulson, Ward and Fitz.

We need love interest for Loki

  4. The more marvel cinematic universe characters (second tier heoes, characters and villains that are gettable) are brought in. the better.

Just to throw out a few crossover ideas:

    - get Kat Dennings to guest star as Darcy for an episode and have her help them with an anomaly that is currently causing various disasters leading into :

    - or to get Josh Dallas (or Zachari Levi), Tadanobu Asano and Jamie Alexander show up as Fandral, Hogun and Sif that track down Lorelei who somehow managed to flee into this realm

    - Or let's go more Whedon: Alexis Denisof could be brought in as 'The Other' taking his human form to spy on Shield. And manipulate things from the background

    - Or how about Ray Stevenson ? He isn't one of these actors that think he's 'too good' for television.

    - bring back Maria Hill once HIMYM ended as a regular

    - get Sebastian Stan to show up after Cap 2 as a re-washed Winter Soldier

    - with the Agent Carter show moving forward...how about having Hayley Atwell, Liam O'Brien, and Neal McDonough show up as Agent Carter, Howard Stark and Dugan tracking down the remnants of Hydra in a flashback that ties in to the events of a current AoS arc ?

    - and since John Favreau loves his character from Iron Man he might be game to make a guest appearance as Happy Hogan helping out Shiel with a series of breaking and entries commited at some Stark facility

    - or go WAY back to Iron Man, if I recall correctly the terrorist leader (Raza) from Iron Man 1 that took Tony hostage is STILL alive and kicking. How about bringing him back for an encore to be ultimately stopped by Iron Man (either some REALLY good cgi or RDJ actually guest starring)

    - or let's go full blown dull and bring in Leslie Bibb as this annoying gossip reporter from IM 1 and 2 now turned into a respectable journalist being hunted by centipide for having gotten too close ?

^ and these are just the actors that would be easy to get for their parts, neither of these actors is really in the A list and are mostly working on television anyway.

Sure there're some that are expensive but hell some really seem to enjoy their characters, some I could totally see happen:

    - Idris Elba could show up as Heimdall after the bridge was repaired and the passage was misused by someone (Loki or a second tier villain)

    - people love Loki, and despite what some think I doubt he'll charge too much. So why not bring in Tom Hiddleston as Loki to haunt Coulsons mind for an episode with Coulson dealing with the fallout of him finding the truth about survivng ?

    - I don't know if Stellan Skarsgard is obtainable but hell he'd make for a great guest appearance

    - before they'll kick off Guardians of the Galaxy...how about Rocket Racoon, Groot or the collector making an appearance to get people excited for it and convince people that aren't too sure about it to go and see it ? Why not use AoS as an extended marketing arm ?

    - I don't know if Sam Rockwell does TV but Justin Hammer is still incarcerated but has the resources to cause trouble from the inside as some kind of Hannibal-esque villain

    - and you know...I could TOTALLY see Mark Ruffalo or Jeremy Renner show up at some point !

I know many of you are going to say 'meh these ideas suck' or 'leave the MCU as far away from AoS as possible' but a few months ago I would have said the same: keep original characters away from a spin-off as far as possible to have it stand on it's own two legs. AoS doesen't tough, in my eyes the cast still doesen't work and the storylines get more and more underwhelming. Guest appearances tying in into the MCU would be the perfect way to keep some fans engaged in AoS run.

That being said: replace two main characters with J. August Richards and Cobie Smulders.

The team is currently too young, too quirky and too annoying for my taste. Bring in badass characters to fill the void.

  5. Mmmm so many possibilities.

I'd love loki to appear. And not just because i am a huge fan but because he was the one who killed Coulson. He is in a way a main reason for the team to be assembled in the first place. If he can't show up in person they can always let Coulson express his feelings on the matter. So far we don't even know if he really hates Loki or just got over it and moved on. Loki can appear during nightmare and they can even use old footage with him laughting like a maniac or something.

I want anyone from Thor movies to appear. Heimdall perhaps. That episode with the spear and Asgardian in hiding was really underwhelming. Some former stone miner turned fugitive, who cares)))

And let's be realistic RDJ is never showing up on TV.

  6. Loki does truly make sense and I could see Hiddleston do it, the show has a huge budget as it is, let's try not to blow out everything for cgi and get some good guest stars

You know...I would have said the same about Samuel L. Jackson, yet he showed up on AoS

  7. Samuel starred in all sorts of 2nd rate movies so i am not surprised at all. And his role in Avengers is important but he didn't get a ton of screen time so he would be a fool to turn down the opportunity to build up his character even more in tv series. To become more important to the franchise.
The only thing that can stop Tom from coming to AoS is tight schedule or series not doing so great. Honestly if i was him i wouldn't want to star with a bunch of teen actors who can barely act.
