Starting January 6th, exclusive access to ABC episodes within one week of air will be available to subscribers of the below participating TV service providers.
AT&T U-verse
Cablevision Optimum
Charter
Comcast XFINITY
Cox Communications
Google Fiber
Midcontinent
Verizon FiOS
If you subscribe to any of these participating TV providers, verify your account with a username and password by following the on-screen prompts on WATCHABC.com or in the WATCH ABC app. If you don't have a username and password, contact your TV provider customer service department for help.
If your provider is not listed, we're working to add more. In the meantime, you have a few options:
Check your TV provider's video on-demand offering. Most offer next day viewing.
You can access episodes on WATCHABC.com and the WATCH ABC app a week after they air.
New episodes are also available with a subscription to Hulu Plus, or for purchase on iTunes and Amazon Instant Video.

I am so mad. Damn you for pulling a FOX, ABC! And it doesn't include DirecTV so I couldn't do it anyway.

I don't have DirecTV, but with TWC I can login to it online click On Demand and watch their more popular shows the next day. I think that DirecTV offers some feature like this. If not, most of their shows are on Hulu.

ReplyDeleteWell, I'll be up at school until May and unfortunately can't do it (I can set my DVR, though, but I still won't be home until the weekends).
ReplyDeleteIt's a joke that you need to pay for cable to access shows on networks that are free.
ReplyDeleteThis is incredibly dumb. I can understand why maybe cable channels do this, but why do network channels do it? It's only going to make the viewers angrier. We have Dish Network, which isn't on this list.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they want to do this so more people will watch programs live, but it doesn't help if you have more than one program on at the same time. I have a problem with the CBS and FOX apps because they do the same thing (with the CBS app, it's 7 days regardless of your provider). In my opinion, it only benefits the networks when viewers can watch shows wherever/whenever because people are more likely to watch their shows than if they have difficulties like this.
It won't do a thing. Torrents & free streaming sites are everywhere all this will do is keep more people away for the site. Don't see a point at all.

ReplyDeleteYeah, the only positive is that they're all available next day on the website. I just feel it's kinda stupid that they have that on the website, but not the app.
ReplyDeleteI never use the networks videos lol i watch them on other websites like videobull.com primewire.ag icefilms.info(works on Mozilla and IE. Chrome is no longer an option)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say that this surprises me, but it doesn't. Granted, I have U-Verse, so no big deal for me, but it is a little silly to see this on a network channel.
