  1. I'm still not over last year's and we already have the schedule for this year's! LOL.

Can't wait for these, as always!

  2. Okay, time to get excited! Cannot wait to see what this will bring us!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  3. let`s what are they giving us for this year!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I really hope the official announcement for Bones comes way before May 12th.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Oh, it definitely will. I expect it in the next few weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  6. It's the TV version of Gladiators. Every show for themselves. I am rooting for you, Goldbergs. Enlisted and Trophy Wife, here's to a major Hail Mary.

    ReplyDelete
  7. This is the first season in some time where I don't have any bubble show stress. Most, if not all, of the bubble shows I watch I can live without if they're not renewed. I'd be disappointed if CBS didn't continue Intelligence but I fully expect that show to get the axe so that takes away any stress and/or suspense.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Awww The CW one is on my birthday...They better give me a good surprise. Haha

    ReplyDelete
  9. I expect renewals for 3 of my shows WAY before this. The schedule is, I believe, a year on the same days (i.e. the date before to make it the same DAY) as last year. The CW's certainly is.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Agreed. The only one I'm in suspense about is The Goldbergs. Enlisted and Trophy Wife will likely be canceled so I am prepared, if a little sad. Still, they aren't shows that I have too much time invested in so oh well. My other shows are all safe, so there's little drama for me. Once Sleepy Hollow did well and was early renewed, nothing was in much doubt.

  11. I'd give the CW 6 weeks at most to announce renewals for TVD, The Originals, Supernatural, and Arrow

    ReplyDelete
  12. Actually the show I am in most suspense for won't be part of these upfronts. White Collar's fate should be almsot decided by now.

  13. Good point, especially now that the overall ratings are rising. It makes previously bubblicious shows even more intriguing because standards have raised and yet we have not seen what that will do to renewals/cancellations. Will they take a chance to launch more than normal given that 2 shows already have a likely fanbase to sample them? Are they going to go with more shows with shorter seasons, a la Nikita this year and plug those holes Pedowitz hates? What about the comedies he's been promising to bring to the CW? How will the success of Whose Line effect choices? Lots of burning questions for the CW when most networks have only a couple to inspire interest beyond that of a specific show's fans.

  14. The schedule is the most intriguing thing about Upfronts for me. That and the fan reaction. It's always a lot of fun. Mostly though getting Upfronts dates is the first sign that TV is about to get really good as shows hurtle to their season finales. It's like that first bud on a tree signalling spring is on its way in the midst of a still cold winter. It always makes me excited about for we have in store in the upcoming weeks.

  15. I hope so. It has been a steady if not anchor show for them and it would be great to end the whole thing off with a bang. My biggest concern is that USA Network is definitely changing its programming tone and White Collar is about as traditional Blue Skies USA Network as it gets. That's what I love about it.

  16. I completely expect NBC to move The Blacklist next season. It can stand on its own without the Voice and they need it to fill some holes in their schedule. If NBC gets the Thursday football contract though, it will solve the biggest one for the fall at least.

I agree that Intelligence will be good for Ory's career. It's a big variation and should keep her from being typecast. She was one fo the best things about OUaT for me and again in Intelligence. I hope she gets a meaty role that isn't too soap opera-ish. I'd like to see her on my screen again.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Huh. I didn't know the NFL put their Thursday night game on the auction block. I figured they'd want to keep that one in-house. That could definitely help patch up NBC's lineup in the fall.

  18. This time of year is always one of the more interesting TV periods, first announcing which scripts are picked up to pilots, then the casting, then Deadline's columns about guesses for which will be picked up and which won't, then the upfronts, and then reading all the reviews about these pilots.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Apparently it's a bidding war for a 1 year, 10 game contract and one of the networks is likely to get it instead of airing them on one fo their sister stations.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I love all the speculation and fan second guessing. It's definitely easier to be an armchair network head than the real thing.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yup, I'm definitely expecting those announcements in the next few weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Definitely (even though I still haven't fully recovered from last year's). It's always fun!

    ReplyDelete
  23. The Secret Circle fans are what I'm talking about. I understand grief but when you can't let go after a few months, it becomes laughable.

Wistfulness and nostalgia, I understand but bitterness and a tint of rage is a bit much..

    ReplyDelete
  24. I have a feeling that NBC will renew Law and order SVU for one more season, the ratings are high enough to have another season..

    ReplyDelete
  25. My body is shaking because i don't think Reign will make it. A 0.6 is just too low and there will soon be even more competition , especially with the 100 and Flash coming out soon. A shame really because its such a good show, wish more people were watching
    :(.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The only show I really worried about is The Tomorrow People. I guess I have to see what the 2 new show are going to be. I don't really think there that interesting but never know I guess. I think Reign is ok because it got the people choice award. I don't think they wound cancel it now

    ReplyDelete
  27. They already said supernatural is coming back

    ReplyDelete
  28. My favourite week of the year, thanks for the early info!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Can someone please tell me what does this mean?

    ReplyDelete
  30. The Upfront Presentations are when the Networks will confirm the TV schedule for next seasons shows ie 2014/15. As a result this is when we'll find out which shows will be renewed/cancelled that have not already been cancelled/renewed . It will also be confirmation of which new Pilots have been ordered to series if they have not already announced them

    ReplyDelete
  31. Nice..
get website at $100 with domain and hosting.. at foduu.com

    ReplyDelete
  32. Shows I'm pretty sure will be renewed so I'm not too worried: Brooklyn 99, Parks will get an official pick up and Community but I think all 3 will get announced before upfronts. Also SHIELD.

Shows I'm a little worried about: The Good Wife (I would be surprised if it was cancelled considering the praise this season) and Elementary both of which aren't huge CBS hits. Revenge.

Shows I'm really worried about: Trophy Wife, Enlisted, Suburgatory, Raising Hope

Shows in which it may be a bit too early to announce: Hannibal, though its airing earlier this year so its fate could be known in time.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I don't think Revenge is in any danger at all seeing that it's in Season 3 and close to Syndication.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Logically I know that then I see the ratings and I'm like damn. I much prefer loving cable shows where cancellations are less likely!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think you can move Enlisted into your 'little worried' category and out of 'really worried' category considering the Fox time move. They have faith in that show,i don't think they would cancel it now.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I really hope so, I have fallen in love with it pretty quickly and it has so much promise

    ReplyDelete
  37. The way I've worked it out, I believe finale week is the week beginning 11th May (starting with the Sunday shows).

    ReplyDelete
  38. It's a battle between Reign, Tomorrow People. The 100 and Star-Crossed for 2 (possibly 3) places I'd say. I'd say Reign gets a second season.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I know what you mean.I normally don't watch sit-coms/comedys,i watched too many in my early years but this one i like a lot.

Have you seen the commercials for a new comedy coming out on TNT (I believe) for Sirens? It made me laugh like i haven't laughed in years! Stupid, but funny! Can't wait for some promos to come out on Spoiler,i want to check it out again,i swear it had to be a fluke,i never laugh like that!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I haven't seen any trailers for Sirens yet but I loved the British original that aired a couple of years back (Richard Madden from GOT was in it) very funny, not sure how closely the remake is following it but hope its as good.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh thats cool. Thanks for telling me, I never knew :) Im not sure the Upfronts are a good thing or a bad thing :))

    ReplyDelete
  42. I would have loved to believe that but TTP just got a 0.7 rating, i doubt reign will get a 0.7-0.8 rating tonight, the shows ratings are just too stagnant.

    ReplyDelete
  43. From all the new shows I added to my list:
Shows I am sure will get renewed: The Blacklist and Agents of SHIELD
Shows I'm worried about: The Tomorrow People, The Crazy Ones and Mom.
Shows I know will get cancelled: Trophy Wife :(

    ReplyDelete
  44. If TTP keeps its 0.7 going, then it'll be fine. Problem is that Reign has been consistent at 0.6 (with the occasional 0.7), whereas TTP has dropped to 0.5 for 3 episodes this season already. To be honest, I would be inclined to think that moving to Mondays will help the show (since at 9pm it is against Mike and Molly, The Following which is on the downward slope and The Bachelor - what I'd say is its only real competition) and also, I would expect one of The 100 or Star-Crossed to fall flat. Both could easily survive.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm not sure about SHIELD.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Can someone explain how this works? Do you need tickets? And where is it in NYC?

    ReplyDelete
  47. You need to be a Journalist and a member of the press association.

    ReplyDelete
  48. When do we find out where they will be in NYC?

    ReplyDelete
  49. TVD, TO, SN. Arrow and Reign all had early pick ups.. So that only leaves 5 spots and with Flash and the SN spinoff it leaves 3 spots. I think there will be a lot of 13 episode orders for new and old shows as well. May can't come fast enough.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Yes, within the 6 weeks we predicted. I look to see the CW expanding into the summer season more.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I feel bad for fans whose favorites get cancelled because I have been there myself, but sometimes it can get out of hand with people attacking and then you just have to laugh. I can't believe people are still railing on a weekly basis about The Secret Circle getting cancelled when a year's almost gone by.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The fan wars between fans of cancelled shows can get a bit hysterical which is quite amusing to me...

    ReplyDelete
  53. The Monday 10pm slot is going to be an ongoing problem for CBS as long as Castle and The Blacklist occupy the same space.

The one good thing to come out of Intelligence and its impending cancellation is that it has shown that Meghan Ory can hold down a show like this. She should have plenty of job options in the near future and I wouldn't be surprised to see her do a "2nd position" pilot this spring.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Scheduling it opposite Blacklist was not the best plan, but I will be shocked if the live +7 numbers are given much consideration at all. Intelligence will be an average cop/spy show while it lasts and then all the actors will go on to bigger and better things. I am particularly interested in seeing what Meghan Ory does in the future.

  55. The Cancellation Bear's favorite time of year. Time to feast!
