- Elijah Mikaelson (Vampire Diaries/The Originals, he sadly always has to play second fiddle to someone)
- Wesley Wyndam-Price (Buffy/Angel)
- Spike (Buffy/Angel, like Elijah and Wes he's always playing second fiddle to the annoying main character while being the most interesting one himself)
- Castiel (Supernatural, he hasn't got enough scenes on SPN. They apparently don't want him there since they give all the angel powers and scenes to SuperSam. A spin-off for his fans could help)
- Bill, Alcide and Eric (True Blood, who wouldn't want an action packed buddy show about two vampires and a werewolf fighting the good fight ?)
- Parker,Elliot and Hardison (Leverage, the show ended too quickly and SHOULD come back as a spin-off about these three being awesome)
- Torchwood'd again (give me back my Torchwood damnit !!!)
- Det. Ryan Castle (pretty much the most hillarious and yet interesting character on Castle)
- Alaric (The Vampire Diaries, who wouldn't dig a show about Alaric hunting vampires instead of befriending them ?)
- Johnny Gat (not exactly a television spin-off but a video game one, he's one of the most interesting characters in the Saints Row universe and could give Daniel Dae Kim another signature role for TV)
Either the Watchers from Fringe - So you could see the other side of the equation... or (and I think this better!) Amy and Rory Pond from Doctor Who, as they adjust to living in New York for the rest of their lives. Kinda like a civilian UNIT?
They never actually showed the Neverlanders together really. I mean, we didn't even see a TINKERBELL/PETER PAN scene! They had so much potential. They rarely showed the Wendy/Peter Pan dynamic, the Peter Pan/Hook rivalry was pretty much not there.. I mean, c'mon. But the Wonderland spin-off did terrible, so I can't see them doing another spin off really. I'd love to see Jefferson spin-off however!
Sam Winchester SPN -then Dean and Cas can hunt together, no mor Dean supposedly being all about Sam, Dean can keep all his friends and get the POV and the myth arc. Sam will be able to have myth arc and POV and they can introduce new characters for him to befriend, work with and interact with.
nice back handed dig at Sam there, except for the fact that it isnt Sam who has all the powers its the angel possessing him while he hasnt been around all season and oh yeah Cas has powers again.
Torchwood for sure with Capt John, loved James Marsters. Since Spike was my first vampire love would have loved to see a spin off with him. With you on Alaric also.
What IS your problem? Nothing anyone says makes you happy, unless it is Sam is King and wonderful and always right. Hope your New Year is happier than last year.
Felica Day who plays Charlie Bradury on Supernatural Robbie Kay Once Upon A Time Neverland Alyson Hannigan plays Lily on How I Met Your Mother Robert Carlye plays Rumple and Belle
It be cool if they did it Torchwood style. I mean, otherwise it's hard to have an optimistic story about a psychopathic adult masquerading as a teenager who manipulates children and keeps teenage girls in cages.
1. After doing a Teen Wolf rewatch, I would actually prefer a Derek spin-off. For me he is the Angel of the show and he already left at the midseason. Yeah, I know he's coming back but they could do something with that. It feels like they have turned Derek into the punching bag now that Jackson is gone so I would love for him to get his own show where he can shine.
2. All the great dead characters of Supernatural. Talk about spin-off potential. You have an ever expanding cast to choose from and then they wouldn't have to keep conrtiving ways to get these people back when they realize the emotional punch of their deaths weren't worth losing the characters. I'd be all for a formerly human, heaven central being run by Ellen and the newly dead trained by Bobby. Jo can lead a team that uses their powers for good. Now that's the SPN spin-off I want to see.
3. While I cannot see White Collar being half the show it is now without Mozzie, I would love an Alex spin-off. She's a capable woman and the most intriguing that Neal ever slept with. I'd love to see what's she's been up to. Have her assemble a team, go good, and viola, we get Leverage resurrected. Win-win.
Cas is featured this season more than he has in the past. He's never going to be in all the episodes or be feature as much as the Winchesters the show is about Sam and Dean. Supporting characters are going to take the backseat to them.
The Only Character Spin Off I wanna see is Barry Freaking Allen!! IDT Penny (and i mean Penny not Kaley) can hold on spinoff on her own, i'd fear that get cancelled.
Agreed. Just because they might be a popular character doesn't mean that a series centered around them would necessarily work out. Example: Joey from Friends.
If I think on the basis of spin-offs that could actually become a thing, I'd vote for Yang's and Chloe's. They are interesting enough to carry a story on their own. The Mother's would probably work as well (not sure 'cause I don't watch HIMYM).
As for the other people, I either think they're not interesting enough or I believe it makes no sense to have a show exclusively for them. A good example is Rumple. As much as I love him, I don't see how a story that involved only his character would make any sense, considering OUAT already revealed his goal in life and how he got what he wanted (or not).
If you will go back and read my "Sam bashing" I say it is the writers that have thrown Sam under the bus. And you don't HAVE to read any of my comments, you do have a delete key, don't you?
That would be interesting, though I would hate to lose Cas on Supernatural! Benny on his own would be cool, though. I just think there's so much more to his character that could have been explored on the show.
I would hate to lose Cas also, but so far they have not done much with his character this season. He is one of the reasons I have season 4 as my favorite, I loved the Angel/Demon arc and Cas was played perfectly, kind of like Death. Don't think they could have gotten a better actor for either of these characters. I would have liked to see more of the Purgatory flashbacks, they were the best parts of last season to me. Feral Dean was awesome and soooooo HOT. ;)
Nothing I really like from the poll, because I think primary characters rarely make for a good spin off...
But I could watch: Game of Thrones - Novella Prequel Series/Miniseries: The Dunk and the Egg Will Tippin/ or Project Christmas Alias Spin Off Alternate Time Line LOST mini series and/or Dharma Initiative Series Hannah McKay - Dexter - Spin Off OUAT OZ or Arthurian Spin Offs New Star Trek Series with completely new characters (possibly in the New Time Line or the Department of Temporal Investigations) Megan Rotundi - Felicity- Spin Off
I Think That's about it. Not too crazy about spin offs, but once in while I think it can be a good companion piece...
I'd love to see a spinn off from Nikita, focussing on Alex and Sam/Owen. Things how they left for Alex, they have the potential to go in a different direction too.
I always have the Impression they have to hold off Dereks development so his character does not steal the show. And the kiddo hunter that Dean is so fond of (the one who played Dereks high School love) - I could see her as part of a SPN spin off.
Hmm, if that's why they keep screwing with Derek's character, that is terrible. Quite frankly, I think they should have gone with Derek being a mentor to Scott from the end of season one on. It would have eliminated this quasi rivalry that is doing nothing for the show.
I thought about Krissy in the Supernatural spin-off. If that is the case, then they need to bring back Michael from Something Wicked and make him a junior hunter too. I could also see the memory wipe wearing off and having Ben join in. Since I have liked most of the kids on SPN, I am completely fine with a Hunter Junior show. However, from what I have heard about the spin-off, it doesn't seem like they are really going there. I could be completely wrong about that though.
I am just guessing about Derek. But his character is not really developing for me. At least we got a bit of background. I also would have prefered the mentor role for him, since he grew up with a complete family of werwolves.
I would like them to make Derek competent at something, because you are right. He's underdeveloped at this time. He's spent his whole life as a werewolf and basically part of werewolf royalty. How does he know so little?
Peter Pan/Robbie Kay - Once Upon a Time in Neverland - actually show Pan interacting with characters from his own story whom he must have knowm for centuries would be novel... (im looking at you OUAT writers!)
A Neverland spinoff for OUAT would be a much better idea than a Rumple one. He already gets enough attention in the main show and we definitely can't say the same about the Neverland crew, who are just as interesting.
Rumple, really? I don't see how that would work or why it would be warranted since he gets so much screentime, both for his personal story but also as an ancillary character in other character's stories.
Wonderland did suck because it made no sense, which is understandable given that the original text reads like a drug hallucination. And also no Jefferson or Cora, it could have worked with those two.
I oppose this for the same reason I oppose a Rumple spin off. They're both main characters who have been well documented, what part of their story hasn't been told that would make for a good spin off?
I don't think we've ever seen Regina's childhood, I just want to know more about her life than the evil part. So far we've had one episode "The Stable Boy" which was about when she was a teenager but that's it.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
From the poll RUMPLE (and Belle). Dyson from Lost Girl would be cool.
ReplyDeleteChristina Yang, The Mother (kind of a "How I Met Your Father thing", & Team A (Cece&Ezra and possibly Mona)
ReplyDeleteOTHER = NONE
ReplyDeleteNone of these, I went with other. Would love to see both Cas & Benny(Supernatural) together..
ReplyDeleteCristina Yang

ReplyDelete- Elijah Mikaelson (Vampire Diaries/The Originals, he sadly always has to play second fiddle to someone)
- Wesley Wyndam-Price (Buffy/Angel)
- Spike (Buffy/Angel, like Elijah and Wes he's always playing second fiddle to the annoying main character while being the most interesting one himself)

I want a Once Upon a Time Neverland spin-off in general before the present day scenes in Season 3 happened.
ReplyDeleteCristina Yang, The Mother, Mozzie, Sloan
ReplyDeleteROBBIE KAY: Once Upon A Time In Neverland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAmy from TBBT should get a spin off, she is by far the most interesting character.
ReplyDeleteSpike!
ReplyDeleteTrue blood the northman family ( Eric Pam Willa and Tara) spin off
ReplyDeleteOTHER = NONE
ReplyDeleteRumple, christina yang
ReplyDeleteyour brills, I would totally start a kickstarter campaign to see that!
ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time in Neverland!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm it should be Ryan Jenny, Espo, Lanie That would be a great spin off.
ReplyDeleteCastiel, he has a fanbase that will follow him and a character that can grow and change and deserves to be explored.
ReplyDeleteSaul Goodman. Luckily, that is going to happen.
ReplyDeleteI'd go with Regina/The Evil Queen - Once Upon a Time
ReplyDelete= "Once Upon a Queen" oh yeah.
Either the Watchers from Fringe - So you could see the other side of the equation... or (and I think this better!) Amy and Rory Pond from Doctor Who, as they adjust to living in New York for the rest of their lives. Kinda like a civilian UNIT?
ReplyDeleteCHRISTINA!

ReplyDeleteRiver Song on Doctor Who would be another one for me (even better with Captain Jack Harkness with her!)
ReplyDeleteSam Winchester SPN -then Dean and Cas can hunt together, no mor Dean supposedly being all about Sam, Dean can keep all his friends and get the POV and the myth arc. ReplyDeleteoh and leave poor wooby Dean all alone with big bad Sam?
ReplyDeletefrom long time all i wanted is Hook spinoff.
ReplyDelete100% agree with Leverage
ReplyDeleteI think the universe would explode.
ReplyDeleteTorchwood for sure with Capt John, loved James Marsters.
ReplyDeleteSince Spike was my first vampire love would have loved to see a spin off with him.
With you on Alaric also.
I love Stuart he's my favourite after Sheldon.
ReplyDeleteWhat IS your problem? Nothing anyone says makes you happy, unless it is Sam is King and wonderful and always right. Hope your New Year is happier than last year.
ReplyDeleteThen you can go on that forum and follow Sam and finally be happy.
ReplyDeleteThe Ron Swanson Show.
ReplyDeleteFelica Day who plays Charlie Bradury on Supernatural
ReplyDeleteRobbie Kay Once Upon A Time Neverland
Alyson Hannigan plays Lily on How I Met Your Mother
Robert Carlye plays Rumple and Belle
CeCe Drake/Ezra Fitz - just WTF?
ReplyDeleteIt be cool if they did it Torchwood style. I mean, otherwise it's hard to have an optimistic story about a psychopathic adult masquerading as a teenager who manipulates children and keeps teenage girls in cages.
ReplyDeleteEyal- Covert Affairs

ReplyDeleteThe Mother, Rumple and Nolan; all of those characters are strong enough to carry on their own series
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of Garth and Sheriff Jody Mills. SPN
ReplyDeleteright and I wouldnt have to read all your Sam bashing
ReplyDeletetrue but he's still had more storyline than SAM this season
ReplyDeleteI just meant it would be pointless having a show with 2 of Dean BFF's with him not even there?
ReplyDeleteThe Governor The Walking Dead
ReplyDeleteOh, so the usual on Doctor Who then aha
ReplyDeleteThe Only Character Spin Off I wanna see is Barry Freaking Allen!! IDT Penny (and i mean Penny not Kaley) can hold on spinoff on her own, i'd fear that get cancelled.

ReplyDeleteThe show just seems better when he is on.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree about the Leverage spin-off. They were my favorite characters anyway and I miss Leverage so much.
ReplyDeleteNothing I really like from the poll, because I think primary characters rarely make for a good spin off...
ReplyDeleteBut I could watch:
Game of Thrones - Novella Prequel Series/Miniseries: The Dunk and the Egg

Alternate Time Line LOST mini series and/or Dharma Initiative Series
Hannah McKay - Dexter - Spin Off
OUAT OZ or Arthurian Spin Offs
New Star Trek Series with completely new characters (possibly in the New Time Line or the Department of Temporal Investigations)
Megan Rotundi - Felicity- Spin Off
I Think That's about it. Not too crazy about spin offs, but once in while I think it can be a good companion piece...
That would be fun, but we have to see who makes it to the end of the series, before we get too excited! :D
ReplyDeletePenny BBT since she's on of my fave characters and Kaley is funny
ReplyDeleteYes more Dyson - I would be happy with that, but I can't imagen a spin off focusing only on him, IMO the strenght of the show is the complete cast.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see a spinn off from Nikita, focussing on Alex and Sam/Owen. Things how they left for Alex, they have the potential to go in a different direction too.

ReplyDeleteI would have a show entirely dedicated to Alex Vause from Orange is the New Black. I could quite happily watch an hour of her merely reading a book.
ReplyDeleteOther : Ned Stark , Littlefinger and the others at the time of the revolution, before game of thrones !
ReplyDeleteStill waiting for a Lost spin-off..
ReplyDeleteRumple, really? I don't see how that would work or why it would be warranted since he gets so much screentime, both for his personal story but also as an ancillary character in other character's stories.

ReplyDeleteWho knows? Maybe there is, maybe there's not.
ReplyDeleteThat would be great!
ReplyDeleteAbby Whelan, Scandal should get a spinoff
ReplyDeleteStuart - TBBT
ReplyDeletePOI: Agents of C.O.N.T.R.O.L. (Hersh)... XD
Samzekielreel :P
ReplyDeleteStill their excuse for not having Cas in episodes because he is 'too powerfull and a deus ex machina' has been debunked as bullsh*t
