New story, about new sisters, they can use the Charmed mythology which is pretty strong.

I hate this idea, but a new witch themed show would be better,as I liked witches of east end. Stop remaking shows, it's bad enough when they remake foreign shows.
ReplyDeleteI voted NO REBOOT and if they did a More darker adult Charmed....Charmed had an 8 Season run, and it needs to stay that way. I think rebooting it would be a terrible idea. But IF it were it'd be cool if they had the Charmed Ones' children, all grown up and kicking some demon ass. Now that idea I could possibly get on board with. Maybe a guest appearance with the original charmed ones (leave Paige out).

ReplyDeleteA Darker more adult Charmed with a new power of three maybe these new people can be their long long grandchildrens or something and with men being part of the three not only women i think it`s best do it with all new things leaving some stuff intact like the book of shadows and that regular people starting to know that magic and demons are real and they all want a part of it making things more difficult for them!
ReplyDeleteDarker and more adult would be great. As the seasons wore on without Prue, Charmed became ridiculous and immature. The sisters (except Piper) dressed in very skimpy clothes, despite being in their late 20's/early 30's. Half the storylines revolved around boyfriends and sex. And those idiotic magical creatures, ugh. A much more edgy version where witchcraft (not Whitelighters and other silly stuff) is at the center could be pretty cool. Of course, to be taken seriously it would also have to be more tightly plotted than Charmed - which had more plot holes than actual plot in the later seasons - and have darker, more complex characters.
ReplyDeleteOther: If a reboot happens, I want a swift and decisive cancellation after one or two episodes like Emily's Reasons Why Not, Lone Star, and Viva Laughlin.
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer a complete reboot of the plot, darker and more adult, they could have fairies, but maybe dark and bad-ass fae, not Disney-like fairies, ha. I'd want them to explore in a more mature way the cool mythology (or some of it) that the original series had.
ReplyDeleteThe witches should be younger but the show should be darker too. Leo should be an older and wiser character, who serves as a guide to the witches, while Andy is a police detective who plays as an anti-hero to the witches rather than a love interest.
ReplyDeleteThe sisters and actors made the show. A reboot will flop. Ugh. Should have done a reunion or a parallel alt worlf. The mix of light and dark tones is one of the best parts of the show, the humor. All dark does not work. The fairies, gnomes were a good balance.
ReplyDeletePiper/HMC was my fave and I love that she and Brian may visit.. only thing interesting if it happens.
Other. I prefer a continuation of the story, with all four sisters as part of the show. Or spinoff, with the Charmed One's kids, like Wyatt, Chris, Magic School, etc., but the Halliwell sisters still making appearances. A 'reboot' seems to imply that they want to use the same story, but redo it with different, younger actresses, as if they think they can make it more current or better. Charmed is still pretty relevant, so a reboot is completely unnecessary.
