USA NETWORK ANNOUNCES POWERFUL NEW THURSDAY NIGHT LINEUP WITH HIT SERIES ‘SUITS’ AND DENIS LEARY’S NEW ORIGINAL COMEDY ‘SIRENS’ PREMIERING MARCH 6
NEW YORK – December 9, 2013 – USA Network will premiere a dynamic Thursday night line-up this March featuring the mid-season premiere of the critically-acclaimed series SUITS on Thursday, March 6 at 9/8c, followed by the series premiere of new half-hour comedy SIRENS at 10/9c. The highly anticipated eighth season of PSYCH returns on Wednesday, January 8 at 9/8c and WHITE COLLAR comes back from hiatus on Thursday, January 9 at 9/8c.
Season three of the popular series SUITS returns Thursday, March 6 at 9/8c with six episodes, and features guest star appearances by the most decorated Olympian of all-time, Michael Phelps (playing himself as a client of Pearson Specter) and Gabriel Macht’s famous father, Stephen Macht. Picking up in the wake of an emotional and shattering murder trial, Harvey (G. Macht) and Jessica (Gina Torres) address the firm’s future, while Louis (Rick Hoffman) threatens to expose the truth about Mike (SAG nominee Patrick J. Adams). SUITS also stars Meghan Markle and Sarah Rafferty. Additional guest stars include, Emmy(R) winner Zeljko Ivanek, Jamey Sheridan, Damon Gupton and Patrick Fischler.
Leading out of SUITS, the network will premiere the new half-hour comedy series SIRENS, from the distinct comedic point of view of Denis Leary and Bob Fisher, on Thursday, March 6 at 10/9c with two back-to-back episodes. SIRENS follows the ridiculous antics of three Chicago EMTs. A group of unruly men when it comes to their personal lives, these guys are the best in the business professionally and can handle any life-threatening situation that winds up in their ambulance. Good looking and sports-loving Johnny (Michael Mosley) leads the crew, featuring his outspoken and refreshingly honest longtime best friend Hank (Kevin Daniels) and impressionable and eager new recruit Brian (Kevin Bigley). Offering a needed female perspective is Theresa (Jessica McNamee), a smart, independent cop with the Chicago PD who finds herself in love purgatory with her ex, Johnny. Together this foursome delve into hot issues such as bromances, friends with benefits and the danger of internet browser history. Guest stars appearing in the 10 episode first season include Emmy winners Jean Smart and Loretta Devine as well as Bill Nunn, Lenny Clarke, Nora Dunn and John Scurti.
“We are incredibly excited about our powerful Thursday night line-up,” said Jackie de Crinis, executive vice president of original programming, USA Network. “As a top cable drama, SUITS has a massive and incredibly young audience that is the perfect fit for fans of Denis Leary and Bob Fisher’s unique brand of comedy. Both series feature dynamic male leads, sharp and entertaining banter, and a strong storytelling point of view.”
The laughs continue with the season eight premiere of PSYCH on Wednesday, January 8 at 9/8c. USA’s longest-running series stars James Roday, DulĂ© Hill, Corbin Bernsen, Maggie Lawson, Timothy Omundson and Kirsten Nelson, who makes her directorial debut. In the premiere episode Santa Barbara’s favorite faux psychic and his sidekick travel to London and come face-to-face with Despereaux (returning guest star Cary Elwes). The 10 episode season also includes the fan-selected “A Nightmare on State Street,” directed by Roday, and a special remake of the season one episode “Cloudy with a Chance of Murder.” Additional guests include Oscar(R) winner Mira Sorvino, Tony(R) winner Phylicia Rashad, Kristy Swanson, Anthony Michael Hall, Tom Arnold, Billy Zane, Emmy winner Loretta Devine and Bruce Campbell.
Season five of WHITE COLLAR returns with four new episodes on Thursday, January 9 at 9/8c featuring a multi-episode arc with guest star Bridget Regan in a shocking storyline. Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) continues to be blackmailed by the devilish Curtis Hagen (guest star Mark Sheppard) and must complete his final assignment without Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) and the rest of the FBI catching on. Rebecca Lowe (Regan), Neal and Mozzie (Willie Garson) get closer to cracking the Mosconi Codex and a life is put on the line when a dramatic secret is revealed. The series also stars Tiffani Thiessen, Marsha Thomason and Sharif Atkins. Steven Pasquale, Boris McGiver and Asa Somers guest star. DeKay returns behind the camera to direct episode 512.

YAAAAAAAAAY only one month to go until the eighth season of Psych :D
ReplyDeleteWhen it says "Pilot" for Sirens does that mean that the pilot is the only thing that's going to air in March and that the season will air later or does that mean season 1 premieres March 6th, 2014? Either way, excited about Sirens! :D
ReplyDeleteYay, month to go until Psych S8 premiere!
ReplyDeleteAlso Suits in March, that's not so far away, I guess ;)
Yep Pilot is the name of the Episode. It's the Premiere and I assume following episodes will air each week.
ReplyDeleteHappy the gap between S7 and S8 for Psych isn't as huge as S6 to S7 was. Wonder when it will be confirmed that its the last season or not, hope they get to do a proper series finale.
ReplyDeleteYay, only 3 more months till Suits comes back! Although, I would have liked for it to come back in January but I'll take it! :D
ReplyDeleteNice...but what about White Collar? That is the show I am actually worried about....
ReplyDeleteIsn't White Collar currently airing?
ReplyDeleteOK, thanks. Just made me curious since it only says Pilot while both Psych and Suits say "Season", hehe.
ReplyDeleteUSA usually announces whether a show will be renewed or cancelled after that season ends.
ReplyDeleteYay,so excited! I can't wait to see Donna & Harvey back on my screen!.... Louis too!
ReplyDeleteWe already have the dates for White Collar and it's currently airing
ReplyDeleteSee the Episode Database

I've been disappointed with the date of "Suits". I thought it would begin in the middle of February.
ReplyDeleteSuits in March WTH :(
ReplyDeleteThat's way sooner than i expected for Psychs return!!!! So PSYCHED!
ReplyDeleteI hope they don't try to make a fall show out of Suits. They better keep it during the summer.
ReplyDeleteWith the musical only 6 days away and the 8th season 4 weeks away, I'm happy to see Psych will have such a huge place in my calendar in the coming days ^^
ReplyDeleteAnd good to finally have a date for Suits too, I miss them all
It will take three weeks off after Dec 19, and return on Jan 9th.
ReplyDeleteSuits is so far away! Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI know that....but I want to know if there will be another season.
ReplyDeleteNot with White Collar...in the last years, the first half aired in summer, the second half in January, but if it was renewed or not was usually announced around November, during the hiatus. After all, the shooting was scheduled in Spring, usually shortly after the last episode aired. This year they shuffled White Collar completely into the fall program, but if they intend to shoot in spring again, they have to make a decision soon.
ReplyDeleteThey could be moving once again. The first year it aired in the spring, they then moved it to fall.I could be wrong but aren't they almost over for this season?I thought they were at least halfway through.
